Over the last several months I have been busy on a few things:
First, I am working on rolling out the Android version of IDC to an open beta. Keep posted for news on that if you have an Android device. I really don't have current plans for an iPhone version, although technically my Java development environment is platform-agnostic. I just don't have any experience on the Apple device and development side. Maybe sometime down the road.
Third, I have been working on build 51, which will include a few things such as being able to bash your way through certain obstacles (think breakable rocks) and burn things like webs or furniture that block your way (and spiders can now walk through webs). I'm also adding two new monsters to all worlds: the Rust Monster and Kobolds. So look for that in the near future, maybe in a month.
Fourth, I am making good progress on the fourth DLC: The Caverns of Grimlock. This will be a dark subterranean labyrinth filled with stalagmites, glowing mushrooms, steam-spewing crevices, and of course lots of cool monsters. I've got a good selection of monsters so far but want to add a few more. So far I have Grimlocks, Mothmen, Redcaps, Athachs, Pukwudgies, Cave Fishers, Formians, Driders, Devourers, Allips, and the beast of all beasts ... the Mind Flayer. Plus many more. I still have a fair amount of work to do including adding more loot, weapons & armors, abilities, etc. to round out the DLC pack. I am hoping to have it within maybe 2-3 months?
Last, if you're playing the game and enjoy it but haven't left a positive review, please, please do so. I really got hammered in the initial rollout on the reviews due to people getting frustrated with the combat difficulty and learning curve. I made a lot of tweaks based on all that feedback to make the initial experience more enjoyable, but I still have a very mixed slate on the reviews. Many thanks to those that have left some very good reviews.

Since at times the spirit can become invulnerable to gunfire, you can hide under the beds to avoid being caught.
With a new boss, new enemies arrive. The Motel has four new enemies with unique behaviors. Each enemy has a different attack that can become a real obstacle.
Blorg: Throws itself at the player, causing stun for a few seconds.
Hornet: Stings the player, causing temporary hallucinations.
Screamer: Her scream weakens hearing and movement.
Spectro: Grabs the player causing slowdown.
Custom Difficulty has been added to allow you to control some variables that will let you play your way!
A level system has been added. Now you can unlock new characters and guns by playing and earning XP to up your level.
The old gun was removed and 5 new guns are added. They are: Pistol, Revolver, SMG, Shotgun and Assault Rifle.

Listen closely Rescue Team, we have a special mission ahead!
The big Early Access Release Day is here - we, that is the publisher Daedalic Entertainment, and our one-dev-army consisting of "Wookie" from Cogwheel Software - are extremely excited to lure you into the deep caves and give you finally an opportunity to find what is lurking down below - or to get found by it.
As you maybe can tell, having only a single developer for a game is relatively uncommon, so that after a lot of positive experience with Early Access, we decided for Hidden Deep as well to become one of our portfolio's (hopefully similarly successful) Early Access titles.
This means one important thing: We are here to stay - both ourselves from Daedalic covering as many bases for Wookie, so he can focus on the development of the game. We have big plans for Hidden Deep, some of those you can find in the roadmap on our steam store page. Below, you can find a list of the Early Access Release content that you can expect right now at launch.
10 levels story mode
4 challenge modes, with optional coop for two of them(Levels can be randomized with seeds - influencing the placement of Monsters and items, but not (yet) the layout): - find the data disk - clear the area - maintain the reactor - leave the sector
Local Multiplayer via Splitscreen as stated above
Online Multiplayer via Steam Remote Play Together (Check out the forum for more explanation)
After the Early Access release is done and all small issues are ironed out, a full fledged native multiplayer is one of our next big steps forward - for now the Steam Remote Play feature is an alternative to play online. Some of the things we want to tackle in the future of Hidden Deeps lifecycle, in addition to more story levels and challenge modes, are a way to implement user generated content with a level editor, more multiplayer modes, including, maybe, one day... PvP - yes, you read that right, backstabbing your friends in dark caves with monsters lurking around - don't worry too much about it for now though, it makes even more sense once you encounter the lore a bit more.
Speaking of lore - if you fall in love with Hidden Deep, or already did, you have the opportunity to dive even deeper - pun absolutely intended: Our Supporter Pack includes this time a 18 pages long graphic novel about Hidden Deep!
We hope you enjoy the release as much as we do, keep the feedback coming, and don't let the cave-bugs bite you!
Best Regards, Daedalic Entertainment & Cogwheel software
