[Main Updates]

◈In-Game Updates◈

1. Two new types of equipment (Secondary Weapon, Earrings) will be added.

2. New Conquest 'Sanctuary of HYDRA' will be added.

3. New area 'Sanctuary of HYDRA' will be added.

4. New ‘Sanctuary of HYDRA’ NPC Shops will be added.

5. New monster summoning item ‘Forsaken Badge’ will be added. 

6. New Epic Spirit 'Brutal Lionheart Koiga' will be added.

7. New ‘CAPTCHA Verification’ system will be implemented.

■ New Equipment
● Two new types of equipment (Secondary Weapon, Earrings) will be added.
- Secondary Weapon (Class-specific) and Accessories (General) will be added.
- Secondary Weapon can be crafted in the Craft tab using a special crafting material known as ‘Dragon Claw’.
- Accessories can be crafted in the Craft tab using a special crafting material known as ‘Dragon Eye’.

■ Sanctuary of HYDRA
● New conquest 'Sanctuary of HYDRA' will be added.
- Septaria, key materials required to refine HYDRA, will be obtainable by unlocking and upgrading ‘Sanctuary of HYDRA’ conquest.
- The number of Septaria obtained through ‘Sanctuary of HYDRA’ will increase based on the achieved stage level of the conquest.
- Septaria can only be claimed once per day through the ‘Sanctuary of HYDRA’ and the daily Septaria reward will reset each day at 00:00 (UTC+8).
- Septaria must be claimed each day manually as unclaimed Septaria will no longer be available upon daily reset.

■ Boss Summoning
- A new item ‘Forsaken Badge’ can be crafted and used to summon a new boss monster.
- ‘Forsaken Badge’ can be crafted using ‘Forsaken Shard’ and ‘Purified Soul Stone’.
- ‘Forsaken’s Shard’ can be obtained through drops by defeating monsters.
- ‘Purified Soul Stone’ can be obtained through unsealing Spirit Treasure Box, Enhancement Stone Box, Treasure Box, or through Treasure Chests that drop from summoned bosses.
- Each ‘Forsaken Badge’ has a designated summoning location which summons different boss monsters. Players can obtain ‘Dragon Claw’ and ‘Dragon Eye’ by defeating boss monsters.

Hunting EXP Gain increases by 15%, and Lucky Drop Chances by 10%. Energy Gathering Time accelerates by 10%.
Law of the Jungle
After defeating an enemy, CRIT increases by 2, PHYS ATK by 2, and Spell ATK by 2 for 30 sec (Maximum 50 stacks)
■ CAPTCHA Verification System
● CAPTCHA verification system will be implemented.
- Implementation Date : Jan. 25th, 2022 scheduled maintenance update
- Players must first be verified through CAPTCHA prior to logging into the game.
- If verification has failed 3 consecutive times, players must wait 30 minutes before retrying.

■ In-game bug fixes & gameplay improvements
1. Menu changes in accordance with the addition of HYDRA Refinery.
2. The NFT menu and access interface has been changed.
- Previous : Global Map → Transfer Character → NFT
- Post-change : Menu → XDRACO → NFT
3. Create/Seal NFT character menu has been changed.
4. Fixed an issue with the direction of character ‘Evade’ being inconsistent with player control during battle.
5. Description of the Bloodshade Nefariox Horn mystery has been changed.
6. Descriptions of the Wrapped Rare/Epic Darksteel Box have been changed. 
7. Number of Identification Scrolls obtained from different grades of Sealed Boxes have changed.
8. The chance of Sealed Boxes being upgraded to a higher-grade Sealed Box upon unsealing has been adjusted.

◈DRACO Updates◈

■ HYDRA Refinery
● HYDRA is a refined version of DRACO that can be produced by combining DRACOs and Septaria through the new ‘Refinery’ menu available with the scheduled maintenance update.
- HYDRA ‘Refinery’ system will become available in MIR4 under the [XDRACO] menu.
- HYDRA is refined using 20 DRACOs as the base material, along with the specified amount of DRACOs and Septaria required as the ‘Refining Fee’.
- The variable cost of the ‘Refining Fee’ calculated through the Metamorphic Stage will determine the number of Septaria and DRACOs required to refine 1 HYDRA. Metamorphic Stage will be updated each day at 00:00 UTC+8. (Learn more about Metamorphic Staging here)
- There is no limit on the number of HYDRA that can be refined.
- Refined HYDRA CANNOT be converted back into DRACOs.
- Results for successfully refined HYDRA will be sent to the in-game mailbox.

Hidden Deep Playtest - Penta
Listen closely Rescue Team, we have a special mission ahead!

The big Early Access Release Day is here - we, that is the publisher Daedalic Entertainment, and our one-dev-army consisting of "Wookie" from Cogwheel Software - are extremely excited to lure you into the deep caves and give you finally an opportunity to find what is lurking down below - or to get found by it.



As you maybe can tell, having only a single developer for a game is relatively uncommon, so that after a lot of positive experience with Early Access, we decided for Hidden Deep as well to become one of our portfolio's (hopefully similarly successful) Early Access titles.

This means one important thing: We are here to stay - both ourselves from Daedalic covering as many bases for Wookie, so he can focus on the development of the game. We have big plans for Hidden Deep, some of those you can find in the roadmap on our steam store page. Below, you can find a list of the Early Access Release content that you can expect right now at launch.

  • 10 levels story mode
  • 4 challenge modes, with optional coop for two of them(Levels can be randomized with seeds - influencing the placement of Monsters and items, but not (yet) the layout):
    - find the data disk
    - clear the area
    - maintain the reactor
    - leave the sector
  • Local Multiplayer via Splitscreen as stated above
  • Online Multiplayer via Steam Remote Play Together (Check out the forum for more explanation)

After the Early Access release is done and all small issues are ironed out, a full fledged native multiplayer is one of our next big steps forward - for now the Steam Remote Play feature is an alternative to play online.
Some of the things we want to tackle in the future of Hidden Deeps lifecycle, in addition to more story levels and challenge modes, are a way to implement user generated content with a level editor, more multiplayer modes, including, maybe, one day... PvP - yes, you read that right, backstabbing your friends in dark caves with monsters lurking around - don't worry too much about it for now though, it makes even more sense once you encounter the lore a bit more.

Speaking of lore - if you fall in love with Hidden Deep, or already did, you have the opportunity to dive even deeper - pun absolutely intended: Our Supporter Pack includes this time a 18 pages long graphic novel about Hidden Deep!
