Chrysalis Playtest - akoluthic


Hello everyone! I just released the first public playtest build for Chrysalis. Now is the time to load up the game and start playing! As you explore and learn about the game, keep in mind this is an Alpha build - there WILL be bugs and crashes (and that's why I need your help!).

In the event that you experience a crash, there should be a tiny crash.txt file that gets created. On Windows, this will be located in C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Chrysalis. Please include this file in any posts you make about the crash so I can (hopefully) pinpoint the issue!

New visual options for targets have been added including a metallic and smoothing effect.

EQU8 Anti Cheat



As we look to keep Aim Lab as exploit-free as possible, we’ve integrated EQU8 anti-cheat to help keep our leaderboards as legitimate as possible.

全新秘境开启:

烬木之庭:

通往流花宫禁地的隐秘道路。因为惊蛰教在流花宫中大肆破坏,无意中打通了这处通路入口,然而其中妖兽横行,一时无人敢擅入。

由于禁地建立在一处古代遗迹之上,不但有不为人知的隐秘通道暗藏其中,还有地下河流穿行而过,许多从禁地中逃走的妖物和兽类也在这里生活,它们是被地面上的流花宫人遗忘的族群。

探寻神秘的秘境,挑战强大的敌人,在不为人知的隐秘通道中找寻正确的道路。全新的传奇等着各位仙家弟子书写。

上述秘境的【普通】难度,将在2021年12月16日中午12时开启,【体验】难度将在2021年12月19日中午12时开启,对应区域的剧情线将在2021年12月16日开服后开启。

Pavlov - Junt
Get back to the battlefield, soldier! A tiger tank pins down your unit, and you've got the ordinance. Get your ass back in formation and link up with your squad, and for Pete's sake, don't drop the damn bazooka in the mud. Point Bravo is under heavy defense, so get moving private. Bring up that TNT while you're at it!

Push is a class-based, progressively changing objective game mode. The respawn locations will focus on the following objectives when the attacking team captures a set of capture points. TNT will be primed and placed on the capture point to trigger a fuse countdown that the defending team will need to defuse in the allotted time. The attacking team will have a limited number of reinforcements and must complete the objectives before the round or tickets run out.

Anti-personnel and anti-vehicle mines have also been added to the game to assist in defensive maneuvers or area denial. Don't stand too close. If an enemy shoots the mine, it will explode.

We have added Push to our official maps: Stalingrad, Santorini, Bridge, Bunker, Container Yard, and Siberia.

How to access Push
At this time, Push will need to be running on a community server. Load up Pavlov and use the server browser filter to search for Push game mode.

Hunting Rifle

We've brought back an older favorite weapon for long-range sharpshooters. The hunting rifle supports a unique feature with rounds stored on a bandolier fastened on the butt of the gun. This new weapon does not have a detachable magazine; thus, rounds are inserted one at a time.

Tiger Tank

The most formidable and feared tank of WWII is now in Pavlov. It features a slightly more heavy armor plating and has slightly more health than the other tanks. Mappers can spawn this vehicle with the Pavlov mod kit.

4x4 Vehicles

To help reinforcements move up the line, we've added the 4x4 Kubelwagen and Willys MB vehicles. It supports a crew of 4 and moves at a much faster speed than the tanks. However, they have very little armor, and the crew is exposed to the open air. Beware of snipers!

Bunker

We're proud to release a new official Search and Destroy map. Set in an abandoned Soviet missile silo, Bunker features a reasonably large layout with several intricate pathways to develop exciting strategies.

Updated scoreboard

We've updated the scoreboard to allow more players to be viewed (up to 32). There's also additional information for Search and Destroy to show team economy and bomb possession.

Mod kit
We've created a customizable addition of Push to our mod kit to allow mappers to create the battle as they see fit. If you are a mapper and are interested in creating content for Push, you can find our mod kit here: https://github.com/vankruptgames/PavlovVR-ModKit

We have such an outstanding, dedicated mapping community working on Push maps for months in preparation for today's update. We owe so much to their feedback to help create a robust mod kit. Next Year
Next year, the update cycle may slow down while we progress to a newer version of unreal engine. This will have an unfortunate side effect of making all current workshop maps incompatible. The engine upgrade is absolutely essential so we can improve performance and update a few of the current systems we want to replace. Upgrading your workshop content is about as simple as drag and drop, but it will be necessary as Unreal Engine does not have the ability to make maps backwards compatible.

We also plan to faction Search and Destroy so that each attacking/defending team will have different access to weapons. Your feedback is important so please let us know how you feel about the factioned weapons when we ship future betas. The best way to provide feedback to us is through our discord.

Hi everyone,

We’ve got one more hotfix for those of you on Steam ahead of the holiday break! It will roll out beginning in the morning (Mountain Time) on Thursday, December 16, 2021. The same update will go live on console in January and the exact date will be shared in the new year. We’ll have a fresh set of release notes at that time which will include more console-specific information as well.

GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS

We heard your feedback about the changes to the commander call-ins. It has been tweaked to make the feature more intuitive for new players.

  • Added a directional indicator for the autocannon strafe and Apache fire support call-ins.

Crossing

  • Fixed an issue where a texture would glitch and could be seen stretched, spanning across a road.
Citadel

  • Fixed an issue where players were able to reach exploitable areas on rooftops.
  • Fixed an invisible collision issue that allowed players to stand on top of it unintentionally.
  • Fixed an issue where a ledge was blocking players from traversing a staircase.
  • Fixed an exploit location that allowed players to reach unintended heights.
Gap

  • Fixed an issue where players were able to reach exploitable areas on rooftops.

  • Fixed an issue where players were able to get stuck on a stone half-wall.
  • Fixed an issue on Push Security where the Insurgents were able to fire explosive launcher rounds into the Security spawn at round start.

RESOLVED ISSUES

  • Fixed an issue that blocked players on Windows 7 from properly launching the game client.
  • Reduced occurrences of two or more VIPs spawning at the same time in Ambush.
  • Fixed an issue where friendly team players would be rewarded 100 points for assassinating their own VIP in Ambush.
  • Fixed an issue where the cosmetic items in the Peacemaker and Warlord gear sets could not be selected in the Customization Menu - the unlocking issue is a separate known issue.
  • Removed the NVG Point Shooting item from the Training slot as it serves the same functionality as the Point Shooting Grip in the Underbarrel slot.
  • Fixed an issue where ammo boxes were missing from Hardcore Checkpoint.
  • Updated the Peacemaker Top (torso) material.
  • Fixed an issue where the M4A1 equipped with the Peacemaker would cause the magazine to float in the air after a Speed Reload.
  • Fixed an issue where the L85A2 equipped with the True Grit limited the magazine count to 1 and could not be resupplied at supply crates.
  • Fixed an issue where players were able to select a locked class even when the level requirement was not satisfied.
  • Reduced instances of AI not moving after spawning into a level.
  • Fixed an issue where the Rocket Barrage sound effects had low audio quality.
  • Fixed an issue where the Bomber Drones explosion sound effects had low audio quality.
  • Fixed an issue where equipping the Half Wrap Plain, Half Wrap Black, or Half Wrap White would cause the Insurgent’s hairstyle to disappear.
  • Fixed a visual issue where the Sport Shirt Top would appear very dark in-game.
  • Fixed an issue where the Peacemaker cosmetic was not applying on the left arm of the player in 1P view.
  • Fixed an issue where the ejected magazine from a Vector equipped with the Two-Tone Green weapon skin was appearing comically large.
  • Fixed an issue where Bomber Drones’ projectiles were exploding in the sky before they reached the ground.
  • Fixed an issue where the character preview in the Loadout screen was not updating and holding the selected weapon.
  • The “Warlord Bundle” is now properly named “Praetorian Bundle” in the Bundle section of the in-game store.
  • Fixed an issue where the weapon model preview disappeared in the Loadout screen when the weapon selection was double clicked.

KNOWN ISSUES

Continuing the trend from our last post: we are still sitting at 1,900+ bugs in our project management software. As we mentioned last time, these represent a whole range of issues, of all shapes and sizes. Below is a snapshot of what is currently on our radar.

  • There is an issue that could cause players to temporarily lose access to the items inside the Assault Pack DLC.
  • There is an issue where the Security team will not have a VIP on their team if the selected VIP player swapped teams during the round start countdown.
  • There is a chance the player that is selected as the VIP may not have the correct VIP cosmetics applied.
  • There are instances where AI has unusually poor aim accuracy indoors.
  • There are instances where AI is able to track player location through walls.
  • There is an issue where the settings can be adjusted but do not save when using a gamepad.
  • There is an issue where the weapon selection list in the Loadout Menu appears empty after selecting your class before the start of a match. Switching between screens may bring the Loadout Menu back but elements will appear in the wrong positions.
  • There is an issue where the police badge may be missing on the Urban Warden torso DLC.

Praetorian Bundle Not Unlocking

Some users may be experiencing an issue with these DLC not unlocking in-game. This is a high priority for us and we are actively investigating why and how this is happening. We appreciate your patience as we work to solve this.

The Linux Situation

Hello penguin pals, this message is being written for you by someone who has in their lifetime been a self-described Linux-head. Yes, we are very much aware that EAC announced Proton and Wine compatibility. Please understand however that we would still need to do quite a bit of development work to properly support Linux, and at this point in time we do not have that capacity. Thank you for your understanding!
