Space Extra - Molun
The third mission has been developed to be complete. Two new AI actors have been added with their AI voice. What's left is to add the new mechanic that you will learn from the research lab. Which I won't spoil for you, hopefully. Next mission to work on is Earth's moon.

You will be able to go back to the older missions with your newly acquired powers to push that highscore.

Conversations in the research lab are now skippable.

Main Changes

Ability Tree Spells

Ability Tree now contains two new spells: "Bastion" will give you 10 seconds of protective barriers and health regeneration, and "Warrior's Call" will make surrounding enemies attack you, keeping your allies safe. And good old "Earth Stomp" received updated visuals and sound effects.

New Ways to Travel between the Islands

Back in the day some priests had forseen the appearance of wind currents, reaching from the frozen wasteland of Arkana all the way up to the flying islands. It wasn't an impressive foresight, but those winds proved to be useful, making it possible to upkeep the flight height while traveling between the islands.

For those characters who prefer expressing their creativity in every aspect of the game, we added a new floating platform module. It can be used to build bridges between the islands, or even entire floating houses and strongholds. The only catch is that they decay much faster than regular modules, so make sure to keep them protected by your Sentinels.

Sanctuary and Islands Update

You can now activate the portal leading to the Sanctuary. The fourth and the last mask is kept safe by the Plagued Thresher on the Poison Temple island. Having activated the Sanctuary, you will be able to teleport to the biome's main tower, from which you'd gain an easy access to all islands of the area.

Rituals Update

Every update brings more and more diversity to the magical world of Arkana. From now on players will get their own personolized rune placement for every Ritual, as well as different ways to accomplish some other Rituals.

Cooking Update

Cooking UI has experienced some changes. In particular - buttons for cooking and collecting fresh dishes are now bigger and placed higher than they used to be. At the same time we've significantly shortened the cooking time.

Nightly Mystic Cubes

We've been hearing reports of Mystic Cubes appearing in the world once again. Finding one will provide you a fancy reward. Yet finding them isn't so easy - they appear at night all over the flying islands. They are quite rare, and just getting out of your shelter to gaze into the skies to seek for the Cubes' beacons is worth your while.

Soldiers!

In our previous blogpost we asked all of you to share questions you wanted answered on the upcoming Battle Pass. We have collected the most frequently asked questions and will answer them one by one!

1. How much will the Battle Pass cost?
Battle Pass Season 0 will be yours for the price of 1950 gold!

2. Is there going to be a free version of the Battle Pass?
You will have to purchase the Battle Pass in order to unlock and receive rewards.

3. Will you be able to progress your Battle Pass in war battles or staged battles?
You can progress on the Battle Pass playing both war and staged.

4. Do you have an idea or goal of how many hours of playtime the pass will take to complete?
This will largely depend on your skill level, we have made sure that it is possible to reach the final level of each season by just playing the game.

5. Will you be able to purchase / skip levels if you are unable to play the game enough?
Yes, you will be able to purchase / skip each of the first 11 tiers for 950 gold. The last tier ( number 12), cannot be skipped and has to be progressed to unlock its rewards.

6. Will there be a daily limit on how many points or items you can get?
There will not be a limit to how much experience you can earn on a single day. You can progress as fast as you want!

7. Which rewards will be in the Battle Pass exactly?
We received several questions about certain rewards for the Battle Pass, which we will not answer just yet. But when the Battle Pass releases you will be able to find out what is in it! We can reveal one thing, most items will be winter themed!

8. Will we be able to submit requests for certain skins for the next Battle Pass Season?
Yes! Our goal with the Battle Pass is to provide content that you want. Feel free to suggest and discuss content and ideas in our relevant Discord Channels! We are considering creating a specific channel for everyone to suggest ideas. Get your ideas ready and stay tuned, more information will follow!

9. What will happen with the current daily reward system?
The current daily reward will stay active and you will be able to keep earning your rewards!

10. Will there be player made skins for the Battle Pass?
Currently we have no plans to add player made skins for the Battle Pass. However, we are always open to discuss and find ways to give our community more input on what will be in the Battle Pass so please keep suggesting ideas!

11. Will we be able to redeem multiple instances of one item, cosmetic, uniform, gun, etc?
It is item dependent, when you unlock skins you will always receive one skin per faction. However for certain items that are not faction specific, or so commonly used that one would not be enough, we will hand out multiples.

12. In your previous blogposts you mentioned this was Season 0. Why is this not Season 1?
This is our very first version of the Battle Pass so we wanted to set expectations. This means we are still experimenting with how to provide the best Battle Pass for everyone playing Heroes & Generals WWII. Based on the reception of this Battle Pass, and your feedback, we may optimize things a little in future seasons.

13. What are you planning for future Battle Passes?
Based on our analysis of season 0, we might make some adjustments to rewards, progression, pricing and other aspects of the Battle Pass. We do expect that every season will keep coming with a certain theme. The theme of season 0 is winter and for season one we will have a brand new theme!

14.When will the Battle Pass be released?
The Battle Pass will be released very, VERY soon!

This is the last blogpost before the Battle Pass Season 0 releases. Thank you everybody for joining in on the conversation, we can't wait to see what you think!

See you on the battlefield!
Plunder Panic - willwinngames
In our biggest update yet, Plunder Panic, the 6v6 pirate-themed multiplayer arcade title from Will Winn Games, has added a highly requested feature...online matchmaking! It's debuting alongside a dynamic new map, the Lamplight District!

The new matchmaking system complements the existing lobby system, ensuring that pirates thirsty for victory can always find the perfect crew to join them in the fight. There’s never been a better time to hop into the action.

While still in Early Access, Plunder Panic has proved quite a hit so far with critics and content creators alike:

“Plunder Panic is sure to be a hit for those looking for a fast-paced competitive title.” — Gaming Trend

“The Switch is the ideal system for multiplayer gaming, and Plunder Panic is an Indie title due in Q1 2022 that may well be the perfect fit.” — Nintendo Life

“This is definitely a Gong Show winner, you can see how fun this is” — TrishaHershberger

Inspired by classic SNES games, Plunder Panic blends retro graphics, arcadey action, and a boatload of online (and offline) gameplay modes and options to shiver even the most hardened pirates’ timbers. Two teams of up to six players must go all hands on deck and face off against each other, utilizing a variety of weapons, enchanted items, and power-ups. Quick, round-based matches begin as rival teams anchor their ships on the same island. Only the scurviest dogs will prevail once the action starts, with victory within reach if the rival team loses either too much of their gold, their ship gets scuttled, or if their precious captain takes a trip to Davy Jones’ locker. It’s up to teams to decide on an offensive or defensive approach!

Matchmaking

The new matchmaking system accommodates players of all levels, offering Casual and Private games with a ranked system to follow later. Casual provides players with the ability to create a party of up to 6 players (combination of local and online) or hop into a queue themselves. Match sizes can range from Captain vs. Captain (1v1) to team matches up to 12 total players across game modes like Freeplay, Conquest, Rival Crews, and a weekly game mode with specific items and modify-arrs.

Players looking for a more intimate experience can also set up private games with up to 12 players and full customization options. For those who prefer playing locally, Plunder Panic’s 12-player co-op experience is sure to bring friends and family together… or cause a mutiny in the household.

New Map

The powder-monkeys at Will Winn Games have been working themselves to the hook, adding all sorts of new content to Plunder Panic. The new map, “The Lamplight District”, is a spooky, haunted level with disappearing platforms guaranteed to trouble even the most sturdy pirate!

New Updates and Features

As Plunder Panic is a game for all ages, the devs have added a new chat function that keeps things clean by replacing NSFW words with pirate terms! Being a competitive game, players can now view individual stats at the end of a match as well as some fun and hilarious player awards. And for those who prefer custom controls, Plunder Panic now features full keyboard and controller mapping.

Plunder Panic is available now for Windows PC and MacOS via Steam Early Access for a reduced price of $9.99. The game will also release on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in Q1 2022.

To learn more about Plunder Panic, visit http://plunderpanic.com to sign-up for the newsletter and join the game’s official Discord server. Fans can also follow on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Firegirl: Hack 'n Splash Rescue DX - Headup Games

Hey there fellow firefighter-to-be's,

It's finally time! As you can see from the "Add to Cart" button on the product page, our beloved baby Firegirl: Hack 'n Splash Rescue IS NOW AVAILABE ON STEAM. Woohoo! Man, it really is a damn good feeling when, after all these long years, you can (finally) release your well-cared-for child into the wide world. And Julien and I are really proud Firegirl parents, you better believe it!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNGbcJPhGRY
So grab your helmet, trusty axe and high-pressure fire hose and get into the boots of little Firegirl, a young rescue officer just starting her career. Respond to emergency calls and save trapped civilians all across the city. Oh, and cuddly cats as well!

But keep on your mind: When Firegirl arrives on the scene, she only has a few minutes to save all the civilians caught in the blaze! You will douse roaring flames, chop through obstacles and extinguish dastardly pyro-monsters, use your hose to boost your jumps and reach high places.

We would like to thank you all for accompanying us on our journey to the release of Firegirl and for always giving feedback. That really means a lot to us. And we hope you enjoy playing Firegirl as much as we enjoyed developing the game!

So rookies, what are you waiting for?!? A city in flames is waiting for you to save the day!

Best of luck and have fun!

Roboquest - Elliot Yun
Howdy everyone!

The 0.8.0 Winter update is now available for download!
As a result, the playtest branch has been closed for the time being.
As usual, we thank all playtesters who helped us get this version up and running as well as the translators who are still hard at work to bring Roboquest to your favorite language. Some localizations are still not available, but we’re getting closer.

Here are the highlights of the Winter update:

Highlights
Sir Catercoaster
A new boss has come into play in the Act 2 (in the ‘Energy Center’).
Sir Catercoaster is making its comeback into the game in a brand new arena and attack patterns. We hope you’ll like it and if not, please make sure to tell us how you think we should improve it.

Aqua & Energy Center Update
The ‘Aqua Station’ has been fully reworked (visually and design-wise) and The ‘Energy Center’ has received a visual polish touch as well as a few level design changes.
‘Aqua Station’ has always been a level we were looking to improve as it felt a bit empty and lacked a strong visual identity aside from just being ‘watery’. This update was the right timing for us and we proceeded. We will be following your feedback on that side since it can be considered like a brand new addition to the game.

The visual changes of ‘Energy Center’ are mainly aimed at making it feel more different than other levels in the Act 2 and the level design changes are aimed at making the pacing and flow more pleasing. Nothing too big on that side, though we hope you’ll like and notice the changes nonetheless.

Perk Updates
We’ve updated a lot of names and certain perk (and upgrade) values.
They should be better balanced but more importantly more builds should feel viable over the course of the game (and the different difficulty settings).
Perks and their upgrades are something we will continuously be monitoring and updating according to your feedback and our data. The balance part of it is especially hard to accomplish considering all the new combinations the 0.7.0 brought to the game.

New Weapons
Three new weapons have been added to the game, and we hope you’re going to have a blast with them!

And here is the fully detailed list of changes:

The Winter Update v0.8.0 Patch Notes
Gameplay
• Movement speed while on rails has been increased from 1475 to 1650 and from 2000 to 2200 while sprinting
• Cryo effect has been reworked, it now progressively slows enemies up to a maximum at which point enemies are considered fully ‘Frozen’. While Frozen, enemies automatically take critical damage from all sources
• The range at which you can reboot your brobot has been greatly increased
• The Craft machine can only be used once but spawns 3 weapons instead of 1, its cost has been reduced from 2 Wrenches per weapon to 4 Wrenches for all three weapons.
Developer's Note: This is simply a quality of life change since almost everyone was always spawning all three weapons anyway.
Classes
• The primary and secondary abilities damage scaling per level has been increased from 24% to 25% per level
Guardian
• ‘Energy Shield’ base shield provided increased from 10 to 15 and regeneration from cells has been increased

Weapons
• New weapon: ‘Flak Cannon’ - Demolition

• New weapon: ‘Tommy Gun’ - Assault

• New weapon: ‘Light Machine Gun’ - Assault

• Removed the ‘Shock Rifle’ alternate fire and added it a pool of 6 random mods. to spawn with
• Added a new ‘weapon tier’ with 4 rare affixes and 2 commons
Mods
• New weapon mod.: ‘Hoverball’ - Fires a slow moving orb which can be expanded by shooting it with your primary fire (it previously was the ‘Shock Rifle’ alternate fire)
• New weapon mod.: ‘Barrier’ - Deploys a protective barrier in front of you blocking enemy projectiles
• New weapon mod.: ‘Trigger Tap’ - Rapidly fires several primary shots in a quick succession
• Weapon modules damage scaling per level has been increased from 10% to 20% per weapon level
• Added the ‘Can-Opener’ mod. to three new weapons (Riflecrossbow, Elite Crossbow and Long Rifle)
Affixes
• Reduced the ‘Heavy’ movement speed penalty from 30% to 20%
• Reduced the ‘Carbon’ speed penalty reduction from 15% to 10%
• The 'Artificer’ affix has been removed from the game
Developer's Note: This was the affix adding sparks to weapons. We found out that adding Sparks from different sources could be a source of misunderstanding for the players when it came to granting bonus to sparks. For instance, upgrades granting bonuses to sparks could be interpreted as granting bonuses to all sparks (those coming from both the perks and the affix). We therefore decided to remove that affix as we didn’t feel like it was a big loss in counterpart for the better clarity of that specific mechanic.
Perks
• Damage scaling of perk effects has been increased from 28% to 30% per character level
• Many perks and upgrades have received value changes
Developer's Note: We’re sorry we don’t have all the information on that side. We will develop a tool that allows us to automatically detect and report those changes so we can be as thorough as possible when publishing these patch notes. Thanks for your understanding.

Guardian
• Added the ‘Low Rider’ class upgrade from the Recon to the Guardian class upgrades

Items
• Most corrupted items debuffs reduced by around 50%
Developer's Note: Like we said in our previous developer news, we have specific goals for corrupted items but we’re still working on the overall design and the implementation details. In the meantime we’re trying to make these items a bit more interesting to play with and we’re reducing the debuffs they apply. We’ll keep looking at your feedback about them and we’ll keep you in touch about what we think will be a better iteration of them.
• Gasoline explosion radius bonus increased from 12% to 16% and from 8% to 12% (when mitigated)
• Reactor (Commando’s class item) now increases weapon damage instead of rocket damage
Developer's Note: The Commando’s class item was a too strong competition for the neutral item ‘Gasoline’ and was kind of overlapping in terms of build. We’re trying to separate them more so they can be relevant to different types of builds or be mixed up with each other without feeling like ‘Gasoline’ is a lower-tier pick.
• Holopad (Guardian’s class item) shield bonus increased from 12% to 25% and from 7% to 15% (when mitigated)
Developer's Note: The actual values provided by ‘Holopad’ were pretty, pretty low so we’re buffing those a bit.
Basecamp
• Added a basecamp upgrade: ‘Fantastic Weapon’ - Grants a tiny chance to spawn a weapon with more than the maximum amount of bonuses
• Added a new basecamp upgrade: ‘Starting Upgrade’ - You start the run with a class upgrade choice
• Removed the basecamp upgrade: ‘Level Console’
Developer's Note: That console was reducing the amount of times you would switch weapons during your runs considering you could stick with the same one. This specific issue was amplified by the new ‘Fantastic Weapon’ upgrade if you would find such a weapon at the very beginning of the run. In the future, we’ll be adding another and more healthy way to bring a weapon with you along the way as we consider it to be interesting, but we don’t want it to be mandatory or too incentivized by the game mechanics.
• Each repair-o-bot upgrade health restoration increased from 3% to 5%

Enemies
• Enemies’ impact resistance scaling by difficulty level has been reduced
• Enemies’ health scaling per level increased from 28% to 30%
• Reduced enemy density by approximately 5%-10%
Developer's Note: This change is mainly aimed at giving a little more air to breathe in between encounters and reducing the number of times you ‘accidentally’ aggro enemies from other encounters (or trigger trailbots). We consequently reduced the required XP values to level-up to account for this change.
• Enemies’ damage scaling per level in multiplayer reduced from 25% to 20%
• Reworked the hitbox detection of enemies’ melee attacks
• Increased the warmup duration of enemies’ melee attacks
• The Gunpawn no longer shoots two blasts in a row, instead he shoots more often
• The Guardbot’s projectile spread has been reduced, making it a less dangerous threat at mid to long range
• Shockwave FX has been reworked to better highlight where it starts and ends
• Updated the Mine Pod visuals
• The mortar attack pattern of the Goliath has been replaced by homing missiles
Bosses
• In multiplayer, the Bosses’ health scaling per level has been reworked to be different from Act to Act
Developer's Note: We previously had a linear (across the levels) multiplayer Boss’ health scaling. We’re modifying these so that Bosses don’t have too much health at the beginning of the game and too few at the end. Earlier bosses should feel less like meat-tanks and later ones should feel more challenging in multiplayer.
• We added a new “Speed” value for Bosses in order to make them easier in lower difficulties (Easy and Discovery), we also increased this value in Heroes+5 and Heroes+6 for testing purposes
Beetle Royal
• Renamed ‘Beetle Royal’ to ‘Lady Bug’
Judgeball
• Judgeball fires one less sky-rocket during its artillery pattern (‘cause he apparently wasn’t nerfed enough already)
Billy Boom
• Added a visual effect to better indicate the needed interaction with the lever
• Updated the Billy Boom ‘warning’ text to better indicate the need to take action before finishing him off

Levels
• ‘Aqua Station’ has been fully reworked
• ‘Energy Center’ level designs have been updated (more high grounds, better movement flow)
• ‘Energy Center’ visuals have been updated (models and color scheme)
• Further reduced the enemy density in ‘Haven City’ by approximately 15%
• Further reduced the enemy density in ‘Haven City - Corrupted’ by approximately 10%
• Modified the line-up of enemies in ‘Canyons’
Developer's Note: We’re currently trying to diversify the enemy encounters in different levels. The ‘Canyons’ is the first level we’re trying this out and we’ll be closely watching your feedback on that side.
