Hi everyone. Welcome to another's developer's diary. We already got one for this week because of the early access release.
However, that one was more like an announcement that covers little about what's new in the game this week.
Although as I had to do some publishing works this week because of the early access release, such as making a new trailer of the game, the development speed got slowed down a bit, there is still some progress that has been made.
Anyway, let's start with the story content part of this week's update. First, we got 2 documents about Anomaly UPEP3002 added to the "Containment Breach" quest to review some disturbing background stories about a girl and an unethical experiment. That's also the origin of all the vampires in Site Demeter. I use the term "UPEP3002 " here to avoid the spoiler of UPEP3002's identity. And then, I saw something quite illogical in real life when I visited a hospital a few days ago. Thus, I took note and implemented it as a very short story in Liu's hospital. It's just there to mock another absurdity in life.
Next, there is some quality of life improvement based on the feedback I received from early access. Battle experience has nothing to do with the battle difficulty setting anymore so that even the lowest battle difficulty can enjoy the same level progression speed as higher difficulty. When selecting a character to pick a lock or hack a computer, their related life skill level and level up progress shall be shown in the selection window so that we can have a better idea about who to send to do the skill check. The flow of the Blackjack mini-game is also improved to make it smoother and more enjoyable.
Meanwhile, the alternative art style versions of the game are also updated to version 20211206 right before the early access release so that their content will not have too much different from the main version of the game.
That's for this week. It's a bit chaotic as I need to work on both developing and publishing. Still, the updates shall continue as usual.
Today's changelog: #########Content################ Added some medical supplies in the doctor's room of Liu's hospital. However, the doctor will stop you from taking any of those before you have a conversation with him for the first time. Added a chest in that room with a very short story. (It's something I saw in a hospital a few days ago. It's not an anomaly. It's just human stupidity.) Plastic Explosives are now available to be purchased in the Bazaar so that almost all lock-picking mini-games can be bypassed. (It's still a relatively more expansive solution.) Shade may now also spawn in the sewer of Liu after a certain point of the main story. Added sound effects when climbing up/down the ladder at the entrance of Liu's sewer. #########System##################### When choosing a teammate to do a lock-picking or hacking skill check, the UI will now display their related life skill level instead of their combat stats. It shall also display the level-up progression bar of this life skill so that we can decide who to send to gain the life skill experience from the skill check, especially when we do not really care if they will succeed
It's Zero Chill season in Ultimate Team! This year's events are packed with holiday cheer, so that you can celebrate the season on the gridiron from December 10-January 5.
New player items this year include Ghosts of Madden (fan-favorite players from the past, present and future), Out of Position players (assigned to positions outside of their normal MUT position), and Stocking Stuffers (a designated player from each NFL team that can boost your lineup with their team's chemistry). Plus, all of these player items can be upgraded even further with Zero Chill strategy items.
Each day, you can pick up Zero Chill collectibles for logging into Ultimate Team, then earn more by completing a Decoration Hunt Mission every day. Collect enough decorations to complete the MUTmas tree set and open your presents for even more rewards on 12/25! Plus, guess who has come down the chimney to help us celebrate? Zero Chill Champion 95 OVR Peyton Manning! Collect and exchange Zero Chill Heroes throughout the event to earn his player item.

When we started developing Shattle, the idea was to create the happy 70's in Sweden. Hippies, nice colours and constant sunshine. We wanted to move away from classic game environments with broken objects, dirt and mould. After the recent changes that have been made, we felt that the identity of Shattle was lacking. We saw that those of you who tested the game had difficulty really feeling the story through gameplay. So we decided to change that and move the war from being just beyond the horizon to your front door.
We call it - The invasion has started. This allows us to expand upon the story and make it more concrete. Through clips, we will explain why unidentified soldiers have invaded the streets and why Air-Raid signals keep going off.
The Rescue bus
It will become more apparent why you have to catch the bus. For one example: You will not get any points or a chance to win if you don’t get a seat on the bus. Therefore, it is even more important to find the right loot and gear to survive until the bus arrives.
Updates on the map.
The warm sun has set for the day, and an eerie fog is starting to cover the map as we move into the night. You will see that battles have taken place, and the map is now much colder and more atmospheric. We have also added more elements to use as cover during gunfights.
Updates on AI
With a new system AI coming, it is more important than ever to quickly find weapons to defend oneself. It will be easier to find firearms such as pistols and rifles in the upcoming patch. If you want more advanced firearms, this will be as usual. Be the first to Air-drops or find the hidden places underground. If you succeed in eliminating an AI, take the opportunity to loot. They might carry valuable things that increase your chances of survival.

December is a special month, christmas is coming, you can expect snow in some areas of the world, Santa Claus might visit those who behaved polite, christmas tree with all decorations has its own place in every house. So we thought - why Bunker should be different than any other place?
Ultimately we are behind the enemy lines which means we are still exists on Earth :-) So all the seasoned worldwide events applies. Thus have we landed on this winter brilliant idea - let's prepare some Christmas event in the Bunker. Lonely soldier, far away from home deserves to feel family friendly atmosphere. Especially being under attack and constantly struggling to survive without any relatives support. Making hot tea - sure! But within next couple of minutes enemy enters the Bunker. It is not fair for our soldier. He needs some positive energy in December :-)

You can now make non-Permadeath characters in the game! Due to popular demand (and it was on my backlog of things to do anyways ) you can now create characters that can easily respawn after they die!
[QUICK UPDATE] Moved the Permadeath Character option to the "Character Creation" window as that now allows the option to used with premade characters as well.
You still earn points the same way you do as with a permadeath character. But when you die, you receive your player points, then the numbers reset and you start to earn them all over again.
When I start on the advanced server options overhaul I will also allow server administrators to have an option to restrict their servers to permadeath players only, as well as many other options. However, I wanted to get this content out the door ASAP.

Taunting is in da house! If you have a sword and a shield, you can taunt and provoke your enemies by hitting your own shield with your sword. [Tip: When Guy uses a sword with a shield, press RMB + Tab to taunt during the fight.]
Tank's image will change according to how damaged it is.
You can see the damage done to the tank more clearly now thanks to the smoke and splinters coming from it after each hit. You can also hear a "boom" when it breaks down.

You can't push the priest into the church anymore in the A-men side quest.
Mercenaries shouldn't disappear from the map anymore.
Fixed a bug when the player is given a screen where it is monotone and a tutorial prompt is shown, if the player returns back to the main menu and selects a new game, the game will play very slowly.
