Hi folks! It may still be the middle of summer down here in Australia, but it's winter in MMORPG Tycoon 2! So while we're still working away at the upcoming Dungeons feature update, we took a little time out to provide some new content themed around the colder months!
Here's what's new:
A new functional building theme
We've added a new "Fearless" building theme, for all your most energetic warrior factions!
Two new modular building sets
We've added a modular building set matching the new functional building set, “Fearless”, as well as “Snowtown”, for towns blanketed in snow!
Did somebody say 'snow'?
We've added 'Snow' as a new environmental particle effect, now available from the still-in-progress region information window!
There must have been some magic in that
We've added a new character model preset, for all your frostiest classes and monsters!
Winter Props!
We've added 13 frosty new scenery objects to the scenery lists, including snow-topped structures and rocks, sleds, icicles, firepits, and more!
Also walls!
Added a new “Frozen Fortress” wall variant.
But what about people who like ships
Ship your subscribers between islands in style using this new “Longship” vehicle! (available when vehicle paths are unlocked).
But what about people who like fast travel
Adds a new woodland “Sylvan” teleporter variant (available when teleporters are unlocked).
But what about people who like fast travel and also watched Stargate
We hear you! We've finally managed to get our lead artist @jarjarguy to watch Stargate, and got him to convert the old Arid Starting Point into an Arid Teleporter, the way that we've all said it should have been from the start, yay! Also, we've added a new Arid Starting Point model to replace the old one; it fits into the same footprint so the model swap shouldn't cause any trouble for old saves which were using it!.
Dragging our castles kicking and screaming into the modern era
We've remodeled our old "Palace" modular building set into an exciting new, fully-featured "Palace2" set. During load, any “Palace” modular buildings will automatically be upgraded to “Palace2”.
...and of course a whole slew of other little bug fixes!

The other half of this weeks changes are all bug and crash fixes as we move towards pushing modding and metal magic to the masses:
Fixed a bug where tags were just totally broken and caused all sorts of mayhem especially when a game was reloaded, including but not limited to tag filters not having colors
Fixed a siege golem crash
Fixed slime drake not having flying
Fixed firefly swarm shrine desc implying that it would not trigger on killing friendly units
Fixed a typo in the name of an enchantment which lengthens the duration of various things, whose name I will no longer attempt to spell
And lastly, not strictly a bugfix, but: Houndlord now always summons a number of hounds equal to the number of empty squares around the point a player deploys into the level, even if other summon skills fill them up in the meantime (enemy units still block summoning).

향후 업데이트 방향 현재 그랑 엠파이어 아마네는 매우 부진한 판매 상태를 맞이하고 있습니다. 그 이유는 여러가지가 있겠지만, 가장 큰 이유라면 역시 전투에서의 문제라고 생각됩니다.
본 게임의 전투는 제작과정 도중 크게 변경되어 완성되었습니다. 초안의 방향을 최대한 살려 엔진의 제한된 범위 내에서 시스템을 완성하였지만, 엔진 자체의 한계로 인해 원하는 방향을 100% 살리지 못했다고 생각됩니다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 다양한 해결책을 생각중에 있으며, 크게는 게임 엔진 자체를 교체하거나 작게는 전투 시스템에 변화를 주는 등 다양한 방안을 놓고 협의중에 있습니다.
언제나 미흡한 결과물을 보여드려 죄송합니다. 다만 "이 정도는 감안해줄 수 있다" 라는 평가가 나올 만큼이라도 최선을 다해 시스템을 정비하고, 계속해서 발전해나가는 결과물을 보여드리기 위해 최선을 다하도록 하겠습니다. 감사합니다.

A new update for 2021 has been released in the past week. A fun playthrough by Waterflame and pftq can be watched below showing much of the new changes. The major changes include the menus, tutorial dome, boost rings, and generally the map feels much bigger and more open now. A full list is below: - Added tutorial dome with AI voice guide by Waterflame as the starting point. - Redesigned ground-level to be broken up and more open. Removed city/cliffs for more openness. - Restored large floating island with clouds/waterfall from earlier version of game. - Lifted max-height of flying to space-station level. - Added clouds to floating space station. - Added asteroid field between space station and large floating island. - Added giant planet and mech in horizon for aesthetics. - Added boost rings around map similar to Sonic games. Credits to Avari for the model. - Added auto-rotate to any surface and stand upside down or sideways on planets or in Zero-G. - Slight randomization of gunshot/sonic-burst sounds for variation. - Proper menus for both VR and non-VR matching the menu music video with tower and clouds.
