As the year is coming to an end, we wanted to celebrate the season with some new quality of life improvements for Maguntsche: Chapter One. Our team has expanded quite significantly, and we are all dedicated to delivery quality improvements that will improve our game's experience for players both old and new. The Winter Quality of Life Update will be releasing on December 22, 2021! Now that's out of the bag, I wanted to do a quick overview of some of the things we've been working on.
Winter Quality of Life Update Highlights
-Added Three New Challenges to Superior Mode
-Improved Visuals for Environments (Graphics Overhaul for Maguntsche Mode is Complete!)
-Improved Visuals for Maguntsche Demon and Animations
-Experimental Rework of Maguntsche Archives Mechanics for Maguntsche Mode.
-Additional Settings & Improved Control over Audio, Brightness, and Post Processing Effects.
We will have more details regarding all of these great improvements in the future. On launch day you'll find more detailed documentation on these changes in our patch notes here on Steam. With that in mind, we wanted to give players some hints about stuff we're planning for the new year. After the release of this QOL update, we will begin shifting our focus to next year's major content update.
Information About Next Year's Content Update
One thing we've learned from our players is that the onboarding experience can be difficult at times. Next year's content update will feature a revamped tutorial and a brand new cinematic experience that will better draw players into the universe of the Maguntsche Series. We believe this new experience will encourage players to complete secondary objectives through the Maguntsche Archives, which will also be redesigned to provide better rewards and incentives to players. Everything is still in the early design phases and we don't want to reveal too many details, but we'll have more information after the release of The Winter Quality of Life Update. Till then, stay tuned!
As you may know, we’ve been working hard on modifying our product to meet your needs and suggestions. And boy, do we have some news for you this month. Let’s start with the most important one- we’ve improved our swimming and diving mechanics!
Diving is much more fun and you will be able to change your swimming style!

- Fixed Divine Gift in the Holy Skill Tree not providing luck. - Fixed Mana Regeneration buffs. - Luck buffs now properly add luck and influence drops. - Fixed the white item bug. (I think) - Fixed not being able to purchase a house and after not being able to place objects. Was a weird issue between the editor and client where the client would not act the same way as the editor. Had to do with the client on the plot marker looking for the player before they were in the game. The editor didn't seem to mind oddly. - Wisdom now increases healing more. - Added skill gain chance for all spells. Here comes the macros! - Added healing amount from some spells in log. - Fixed issue when playing on someone's server where you can't cast buffs or certain spells. - Fixed spells proc chance to properly proc at right amount. - Fixed being able to keep using abilities after you remove them from hotbar. - Changed several spells.
Hello everybody, we just added the final boss for the first level: Ceo.
Ceo can be challenged after defeating both Stheno and Prometheus without dying.
Furthermore, we made some changes to the gameplay experience: - Reduced enemies blood size by a lot - Added indestructible walls upon entering a new room to prevent players from skipping the gunfights - Now the enemies will stand still for 1 second before aggroing the player - The ability selection screen has been tweaked to improve understandability - When the button "exit" is being clicked, the game will prompt the user before closing itself - Added an overlay on the top-left corner to indicate which bosses have already been defeated - Slowed enemies bullets by 15% - Slowed player's bullets by 70% (It's no longer possible to snipe the bosses from across the map) - Added various sound cues on determinate interactions (es. using the dash) - It's now possible to use the left mouse button to shoot (although there are some issues we are currently investigating) - Pause menu visibility improved - Reduced the medium size of the rooms, in the procedurally generated story levels
