Pass the Hero Trials and set off for Balaurea, hunt down the scoundrel Warden Surama who awaits you for the final battle in the Esoterrace! Wrest valuable items from him and his minions. Treasures await you as a reward like the Master Essence, the [Rune] Transformation Contract Fragment: Snow Fox, the Ariel’s Apostle Transformation Fragment and the [Rune] Daevanion Essence.

There are two different Hero Trials to master in this event – complete Atreia’s Little Hero 1 and Atreia’s Little Hero 2 to become Atreia’s Great Hero!


Part 1 of the Hero Trials will run from 1/12/2021 until 22/12/2021 – here you can complete 3 quests and earn rewards:

Another Hero Trial quest is available from 1/12/2021 until 12/1/2022 available: [Account] Hunting Warden Surama: Defeat the Lord of the Esoterrace.

After completing the quest, you’ll be rewarded with the locked treasure chests Warden Surama was guarding. You can get the keys for opening the chests as loot in the open world. More treasure chests are also available in the AION Shop.


You won’t just find the keys for the locked treasure chests in the open world; there will also be tons of other precious and rare loot (only active during the Hero Trials) – pay a visit to the regions Gelkmaros, Inggison, Dumaha, Red Katalam (North) and Aphsaranta and defeat the monsters!

The Hero Trials marked ‘[Account]’ can only be completed once per account.

You can collect your rewards from the mailbox in the shop. You can assign them to a character from there (Manage bonuses → Allocatable rewards).

Defeated monsters count towards the quest if you have gained XP by killing them. If you die, you don’t get any XP, and the monsters you killed don’t count towards the quest.

The locked treasure chests, their contents and the keys to unlock the chests will be removed from the game at the end of the event.

this month we'd like to make some major adjustments to the game.
Among other things, these changes prevent the boring high-score strategy of "Guildinizing" (Defeating all opponents on the level except for one weak opponent and then wait until you have played all guilds from your deck - Recruiting always gave a lot of points). We also tried to make the game more enjoyable. Bosses should now feel more like bosses and less like plain noise.

System:

• Adjusted the animation when meistering. The meister is no longer seen in the middle of the battlefield while the original unit is still transforming.
  
• Some probabilities were adjusted.
  
• The gold received after a session was decreased.
  
• The experience points received after a session were increased.

High Score Calculation:

• NEW: Score for conquering a level in just one turn: +200 points
  
• ADJUSTED: Recruiting heroes no longer gives points when replacing a hero with a guild.
  
• ADJUSTED: The bonus points were greatly decreased.
  
• Score for recruiting: Now +200 points
  
• Score for conquering the Tower: Now +2,500 points
  
• Score for defeating a normal opponent: Now +300 points
  
• Score for a "Perfect Kill" (Bring a unit to exactly 0 health): Now +250 points

As per the most recent patch, all new development is now being tested on the test server. With this change we are delighted to start a process we have been wanting to get you all involved in for a while.

Over the last few months we have been collecting data and suggestions from all of our players to try and figure out the core problems with Nightmare. We have composed a list of ideas gathered that we think will make Nightmare better.

Please note that not all of these changes will happen and is subject to change based on player feedback. Ideas may be voted out given enough votes so make your voice heard!

Whats next?

We will be sending out lots of polls to gather users feedback. We will also be opening up Knights Of The Round to offer suggestions to put forward ideas to add to this document. These suggestions must be voted in by the players and the developers of Nightmare to go forward with implementation.

If you are not a member of Knights Of The Round you can post in discord suggestions discussion channel or apply to me a member of Knights Of The Round here.

Once we have come to a good agreement on what needs changing is when the fun starts! Kibbelz will be hosting dev streams while implementing the changes alongside other developers here. This will give you all the opportunity to voice your opinions and offer input whilst the changes are being made.

All changes will be made public on the Test Server allowing players to test every change in real time.

We hope to implement changes based on your feedback and ideas moving forward.

In this digest we would like to tell you about our continuing work on improvements and fixes in the game. You can find information about all updates that have been released in War Thunder on the website special section.

You have asked about this improvement in the comments to one of the previous digests when you reported more frequent collisions in the respawns. Embrace the improved respawn mechanics in tank battles!
Now allies who joined a little later or were delayed in selecting a vehicle will appear slightly behind those who clicked the “Battle” button in the respawn window earlier. In this way players will be less in the way of each other.

The earth isn't a place where an aircraft can rest in the middle of the battle. Now players whose aircraft are not in the air will not be counted as active and sessions with such players will end with their defeat by timer (which previously meant the loss of all vehicles by the team).
At the same time the waiting time to return to the battle has been increased in the aircraft RB and SB as well as in helicopter AB.

We are talking about the issue where even with no ammunition the turret of such vehicles like the M901, FlaRakPz 1, FlaRakRad and the Roland 1 spontaneously rotated to reload the launchers. Even when there was nothing to reload.
The bug has been fixed. But it is still recommended to take more ammo into battle and not forget to reload at captured points.
Every month Xbox players with an activated Gold subscription will receive a special set: +40% RP booster for 10 battles, +75% SL booster for 10 battles and also 5 backup vehicles.
