Global supply chain issues have impacted the console release of Beyond a Steel Sky, publisher Microids has said.

"Due to worldwide logistical issues and constraints beyond our control, the game's release date had to be postponed on some platforms in certain territories," Microids said in a note to press.

This means in the UK, the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S and retail Nintendo Switch versions launch 7th December, while the digital Switch version launches earlier, on 30th November.

Mass Effect's former lead writer and composer have expressed interest in collaborating on Amazon's potential plans for a Mass Effect TV series.

It comes after another BioWare lead writer, David Gaider, yesterday said the idea of a Mass Effect TV adaptation made him "cringe".

"I'm not involved, but I'm looking forward to it!" writer Drew Karpyshyn said on Twitter. "Happy to consult if they want my input. ;)"

The Roblox Corporation is suing content creator Benjamin Robert Simon for leading a "cybermob" against the platform.

The lawsuit was filed in a California court on Tuesday, as reported by Polygon. Roblox is seeking $1.6m in damages.

Simon, better known online as Ruben Sim, has already been banned from the platform for several years for using racist and homophobic slurs, sexual harassment, and uploading images of Adolf Hitler, according to the lawsuit.

Epic has announced the next batch of free games coming to its store, with next week's offerings looking an awful lot like Dead by Daylight and While True: learn().

Dead by Daylight, should you be unfamiliar, is developer Behaviour Interactive's extremely popular 4v1 asymmetrical horror game, which pits a team of four survivors against one bloodthirsty killer as they attempt to evade and escape.

In the five years since Dead by Daylight's release, it's received a mountain of DLC, including a whole bunch of iconic killers from some of the most beloved horror franchises in cinema and gaming, including A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger, Halloween's Michael Myers, Hellraiser's Pinhead, Scream's Ghost Face, Silent Hill's Pyramid Head, and more.

Just under a week after its initial launch - and following a somewhat shaky start - DICE has deployed the first major post-release patch for Battlefield 2042, looking to address some of its many issues.

While foundational issues such as the lack of a scoreboard or in-game voice chat have been acknowledged, they're not part of the first wave of patches. Instead, today's update - named update two, following the day one patch that launched a week after the game was widely available (look, video game launches are complicated now) - instead introducing balancing and performance tweaks.

Key amongst them is improving how revives work on the field, nerfing the hovercraft and nightbird, an improved respawn system and a fix to the overstated shot dispersion that has made Battlefield 2042's gunplay feel so shoddy.
