SANABI - SANABI_Official
Hi everyone, this is Wonder Potion.

The core game mechanics of SANABI are finished for the most part, so our team is now focusing on adding new content. We're working hard to polish the game so that each chapter is unique in its own way, and we hope our players will notice that as well.

Here's what's coming to SANABI!
(*These are all work in progress, so they are still subject to change throughout development)

Boss Battle: The Writ of Execution

  • An estranged, colossal disintegrator, the “Writ of Execution”
  • It’s certainly not an easy task to take down a giant disintegrator. But for some reason, the Writ of Execution’s core is fully exposed...

  • Fortunately for you, there are some cargo drones left around the loading deck! We know Mari is very good at tampering with drones. Perhaps she can help you dismantle the disintegrator?

Game Controls

A. Winding
  • Many of you asked if you can reel in the Chain Arm.
  • The ability to wind the Chain Arm was, in fact, already coded in from the start. Introducing this feature too early led to most of the players relying on winding instead of practicing their swinging skills, and we wanted to avoid that. As such, we decided to make winding available in the later stages.

  • Now, you can wind your Chain Arm whenever you want once you unlock the ability. We hope you enjoy the freedom this provides!

B. Chain Arm’s Increased Range
  • SANABI requires you to make the most out of its huge maps. We’re sure there were many instances where you felt the Chain Arm was just too short. But if we were to increase the chain’s length, an unnecessarily long range would also be difficult to work with.

  • We’ve changed the mechanics so that the chain shoots long enough, and at the same time, its length will automatically adjust to a reasonable distance. Swing to your heart’s content!

Chapter 2 : Business District, Mago City

  • Welcome to the Business District of Mago City, the center of capitalism thriving under the protection of imposing authority. A tall skyscraper looming over the city has given the area the alias, Sunless City. No matter! We might not get enough sun, but there are plenty of hologram signs to light the city streets.

    #Discussions_QuoteBlock_Author
Chapter 1 took place in the slums of Mago City. In chapter 2, you’ll be running through Mago City’s Business District. Compared to the rainy and gloomy environment of the slums, the Business District is a vibrant ocean of neon signs. We’ve designed the area to reflect the theme of corrupted capitalism, which is visually represented by sky-high buildings.

  • The Business District is maintained and operated by the local police force. They use their so-called legal authority granted by the city to enforce peace, and will resort to any form of violence to do so.

  • Sky Tracks are seen all around the district. They’re meant to be reliable, hi-tech freight transports... but a certain (burly) someone might be able to use them as his own method of transportation.

Title Change

  • The English title of the game has officially changed from <SANNABI: the revenant> to <SANABI>!
  • We’ve received feedback from our publisher’s localization expert regarding the spelling and decided to remove the extra N to make SANABI look more appealing to our players in the west.
  • The word Sanabi holds a significant meaning in the story, but it’s also one of the first things that determine the impression our game has on you, the players. We’d like to keep the title as simple as possible while maintaining its identity.
  • The subtitle "The Revenant" was also removed to maintain unity with the original title in Korean, which will remain as 산나비.

Change in Schedule

  • Though our team members put in days and weeks of effort to bring SANABI to you, we’ve realized that we will need to invest more time to create something acceptable in terms of quality.

  • We apologize to many players who have been waiting for the official release of SANABI. We know how much love and support we’ve already received from you, and we would like to return the favor with a solid, well-polished game.

2nd Closed Beta date
  • November, 2021 → January, 2022
Game release date
  • February, 2022 → Q3, 2022

Steam Early Access

  • With the way the above dates were pushed back, we now have a large gap between the 2nd Closed Beta and official release.
  • Instead of making our players wait an indefinite amount of time, we've decided to release the game as Early Access in Q2 of 2022. The Early Access version of the game will include chapter 3, which accounts for roughly 50~60% of the game's content.
  • We'll be sharing details on the second round of Closed Beta and Early Access release with you via our community platforms.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the delay and thank you for your understanding. We appreciate every comment from you guys and it has always been the biggest motivation for us developers.

The weather’s gotten much colder. What a season for staying home and gaming! We’ll bring out another update soon, so please keep an eye on us!

Thank you!

Dodorex
In the world of Pixark, even the weakest and humblest beings have dreams of becoming something stronger. And the Dodo, who is bullied by everyone, may become an existence to be feared by everyone. Legend has it that some dodos with exceptional talent were blessed by the ancestors of the dodo family and evolved into the most powerful Dodorex. Of course the legend is just a legend, in fact, people believe that Dodorex may be the descendants of Tyrannosaurus rex genetically modified by aliens. The biggest basis for this idea is that people have not yet found evidence of the existence of wild Dodorex.
  • Tamed Dodorex can bite (LMB) and shoot flames (RMB)

The Curse of Feldar Vale - ian.pook
Hi All.

This update introduces three new features as requested by the Community and fixes a couple of bugs that we have found during testing.

  • New Feature: Weapon Loadouts

A unit's Inventory page now has a new button available to create/modify weapon loadouts, as shown below.

Clicking the button will switch the 'paper doll' display to the display shown in the following image:

To create a loadout you can either:

a). Drag and drop an item from the Party Backpack to an appropriate slot.
b). Click the Current button on a loadout slot (1) to select the items currently equipped.
c). Drag and drop an item in a loadout to a different slot to 'clone' it to that slot.

Throwing weapons must be unique within the range of loadouts but melee and ranged weapons can feature in multiple loadouts. So, for example, you could create a slot with a Longsword +1 combined with a Spiked Shield +1 (giving an offensive combo as the shield adds extra damage) and another with a Longsword +1 and an Imperial Round Shield +2 (giving a more defensive combo as the shield provides extra protection).

To switch a unit to a new loadout, click the Select button (2) on any slot. Note that if the inventory is locked for any reason, a loadout cannot be selected (the same as a unit cannot be re-equipped if the inventory is locked). You can however still create and/or modify loadouts.

When a loadout is 'selected' the matching items must be available in the Party Backpack. The items will then automatically be equipped on the unit and the items they currently hold are returned to the backpack.

It is possible therefore to have only one of an item in the backpack but create loadouts on two different units with that item. The first unit to 'select' the loadout will get it from the backpack while the button on the other will be inactive as there will no longer be an item in the backpack to fulfill the loadout.

Items that are assigned to loadouts will not be available for sale at the Market. They are effectively 'reserved' to avoid you selling them by accident. The Market Dialog has a new field displayed to inform you of the number of items so reserved, as shown below.

  • New Feature: Split Movement

A new Advanced Rule - Unit Movement has been implemented to allow split movement such that any unit can move multiple times during the player's turn (up to the limit of their Movement Points). Combining this rule with the 'Unit Actions' rule will give different challenges as to how the game is played.

  • New Feature: Re-Equipping a Unit After Death

Units will no longer have their equipment stripped when they die. They will retain all their items and they can be freely equipped/unequipped from/to the Party Backpack at any stage. If a dead unit is dismissed, its equipment will automatically be returned to the Party Backpack.

  • Fixed: A sneaking unit entering a teleport could cause a program crash. [Internal Bug]

  • Fixed: When neutral units turn into enemies, their background color does not change as it should. [Internal Bug]

  • Fixed: After victory, it was sometimes impossible to export the party if it contained a dead unit (exporting from a battle scene was ok). [Internal Bug]

  • Fixed: When equipping a weapon from a loot chest, occasionally the unit would not be able to use that weapon until the next turn. [Internal Bug]
Please let us know if you have any problems with the update and we hope you enjoy the new features.

All the best.

Version 1.44 brings three new ships, achievements, new abilities for boarding parties, new events, a proper beginner mode, and a ton of balance and bug fixes!

NEW SHIPS:

Three new ships join the fleet in 1.44!

The Corp Merchant ship is a small warship that makes up for its lack of speed with plenty of cargo space.

The Rover Dreamer is a small food producing ship that is also outfitted with Empire stasis tech, allowing passengers to be put into stasis (where they consume no resources until revived).

The Rover Drencher can package available water into water cargo - just the ticket for surviving low-water worlds or staving off water riots in an overpopulated fleet.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

At long last, we've added 17 achievements!

Try and obtain a second battleship. Attempt to hold out against the Harvesters with a massive fleet. See if you can complete a run as a peacemaker.

We've also added a number of special awards for losing the game in a variety of different ways. Can you collect them all?

Also note that a couple of these achievements unlock new fleets!

BOARDING IMPROVEMENTS:

Mercenaries now have an improved bribery option that mixes in some RNG. But as long as you have enough ore you have a good chance of bribing a ship's captain to join the fleet without a need to leave armed guards aboard.

Since Pact Marines cannot be used unless you are enemies with a faction, you're now given the option to declare war on a faction when one of your Marine boarding parties boards a non-enemy ship!

The Diplomacy faction leader power can now be used to try and persuade ships that you took by force to stay in the fleet -- without keeping a boarding party aboard. Right now this is only possible once you've removed a boarding party from a ship under duress. Tell us what you think!

FEATURES:

You can now leave us in-game feedback by hitting the F8 key or by clicking the leave feedback text at the bottom of the screen. Add your email if you want a reply (we do not keep email addresses or use them for anything but replying to your feedback).

Quite a few new events were added, as well as additional variations for several types of encounters.

We added animations for some of the more recent game actions like launching boarding parties, recovering gunboats and the like.

BALANCE and BUG FIXING:

Starting with the Beginner fleet now slows the Harvester propagation wave speed and reduces the number of Harvester enemies. The final jumpgate remains the same. If you prefer a slower pace to play, this is for you!

All repair locations are now also shipyards. Shipyards specialize in either industryships or warships. Some carry ships from other factions, too. Ship prices were reduced. They also no longer increase during a run. Lastly, ships can be traded as early as day 10 in sector 2. Ships traded at a shipyard will require a crew (or you can seize them if you have a ship capable of seizing).

Ever have a non-fleet ships become disabled during a mission? That used to end the mission. But now you can seize or repair those ships and keep the mission going!

After a lengthy optimization of the game, Harvester Reaper swarms are back! We also reduced the number of Harvester warships to account for more Reapers on the field.

There's a much greater chance to obtain gunboats for your Empire Carrier now.

Seized non-fleet ships now react if left crewed for too long.

Enemy ships defend better against incoming boarding parties. Protecting ships now stay closer to protectees.

Shield ranges on all Irenic shields were increased.

Weapon ranging and ship closing distances were improved.

We increased the number of quests available to help give you more options to add certain types of ships into your fleet.

Investigators no longer show up at the final jumpgate.

Marooning a faction leader aboard a non-fleet ship will now incur the same consequences as leaving them behind any other way.

Marooning is no longer allowed on Harvested ships (same as the other transfer options).

It's no longer possible to reset trade items by force quitting.

We continue to improve the early game flow. It's not quite there yet, but it keeps getting closer.

We were able to fix dozens of bugs and annoyances thanks to your great feedback! Thank you so much for your help, we deeply appreciate it.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Tractor beams. More new ships, more new items, more events, more achievements and more QOL improvements!
