Didnapper 2 - DID Games
You might've noticed that the game is listed for release on the 13th of December. You might also remember that we very clearly announced the game's release to be on the 12th.

Rest assured, the game will still release on the 12th on our https://didgames.itch.io/didnapper-2 page. However, I deeply regret to inform all of our Steam fans that the game will have to be released a day later on their preferred platform.

The reason for this delay? Steam, a digital distribution platform, refuses to release games on weekends it would seem, and the 12th being a Sunday doesn't really help. Until then, feel free to stop by our Discord server to stay in the loop and join the community!

  • Completely reworked interaction system.
  • Improved dashing. Dash length is now based on how long the button is pressed. Can also be performed backwards.
  • Some changes and fixes to the environment. More clear where can and cannot go.
  • Changed some jump-pads to not require a dash to land in a safe spot.
  • Reduced damage graphical effects intensity.
  • Fixed and improved weapons tutorial.
  • Better visibility in some areas that were too dark.
  • Fixed some issues with the save system.
  • Fixed issues when picking up ammunition without having space for it. Added UI to alert about full ammo.
  • Fixed various other minor bugs.

Today's patch added the following:
  • Added the Cen Rune to the loot tables of top-tier demon, undead, and wolf armies.
  • Added fairy forest encounters to the Yamatai and ice world maps, with new loot tables for those areas, with a 50% chance of receiving a Cen Rune.
  • Added the Cataclysm greathammer to the loot drops of top-tier demon and undead armies.

And we added a lot to the content files of the upcoming expansion. More news on that coming soon.

NOTE: This fasttrack may break the multiplayer synchronization. This will be fixed for the next fasttrack build. It does however include lots of big changes. Tutorial Chapter 1 is complete, music has been redone for most of the game and trades between factions works properly again. We also have lots of improvements on the use of space docks and beacons. Check out the full changelog below.

Hello!

This is a small update to tell you the GPU performance leak that was in the game was fixed. The game will no longer take up to 100% of your GPU for no reason.

Version 1.2 Update:
- Sunset Rider, Viridian Warrior and Fatal Scarlet added as unlockable ships.
- Player Ships at low health now spew sparks and puffs of smoke.
- Player Ships now have a yellow shield around them when 'Hold Together' is active.
- Enemies now drop orange and blue particles when the player has 'Weapon Master' and 'Phantom' respectively.
