The Catnip Games development team now brings the players of Shroud of the Avatar another round of new content and improvements. For Release 96 (R96), players will experience a large variety of changes to the game. First off, players can now explore a new social hub scene called Castle Atos! This scene will be the focal point for providing many social in-game events, content, and rewards in the future, and already we’ve populated this new scene with many activities and items to keep players entertained. The reward blessing present there even scales in power with the number of players in scene!

The Ancient Undead attack! This ancient race of creatures are appearing throughout New Britannia. Will you be able to defeat them?

Dread Artifacts can now be patterned, and evictions no longer push items to a player’s bank, they’ll instead cause your property to move to the Property Manager window! SO many changes, so what are you waiting for? Get in there and play Shroud of the Avatar!

For those wishing to participate in any community activities, new one-time and recurring community events have been announced! Also, be sure to also review the Players Guide and Known Issues list for additional information on recent changes and upcoming fixes. It’s been some time since we have announced our publishing partnership with 505 Games and we would like to take this opportunity to officially say welcome to Acrea!



Point Blank Games is an independent development studio based in the heart of Berlin, Germany. The studio was originally founded by Leonard (CEO & Game Director) and Sara Kausch (COO) in 2016.

During the development of our first project, we learnt all the ins and outs and are now able to use our knowledge to make Stray Blade a unique experience. We always had the vision to develop an Action RPG which combines a fast and tight combat with metroidvania elements in an exploration focused world. This makes you revisit locations to unlock new areas, all whilst those locations develop over time and grant you both a feeling of ownership and novelty as the environmental stories of these locations unfold.



We started working on Stray Blade 4 years ago. Back then we were five people in a super small office who decided it was time to build the team`s signature game. The design of Stray Blade was carefully crafted around the strong skills of every team member and with a shared vision that everybody fully supported.

Over the time, we grew our team up to 25 people and we are still growing. Even though our office is based in Berlin, we also have some staff members working remotely from all over the world.

As you can imagine we are quite busy with the game development at the moment, but rest assured we will keep you posted with all upcoming news around Stray Blade!

- Updated translation for Portuguese Brazilian, featuring all the new content in the Hunters Update.

- Fixed some inconsistencies with how Weapon Damage was used on some Weapon Cards, which meant, in part, a Wolf using their Racial Ability to play other characters' weapons could deal their own Weapon Damage instead.
- Fix for an exploit in the Arena scenario, where restarting the game during the second fight would consider it won after reloading.
- Fix for Besiege not working correctly for single movements (not swapping), where if the position was free, it would move the player character to the default combat position (enemy side).
- Fix for some of the new cards that draw additional cards not triggering the Ender Crossbowmen's Overwatch status.

After several days of doing nothing but breathing oxygen, I realized School For The Friendless could use an update so I forced myself to get to work and make some changes to the code. Now, it's slightly better than before! I've only made a few changes to already existing content, but that doesn't mean there won't be more stuff related to School For The Friendless in the future. Below is a full list of what's new in this version.

- Reduced required point values for each route by one to make it a bit easier to avoid the friendless ending.
- Fixed a bug where the backlog wouldn't work after the word "[REDACTED]" showed up.
- Made some minor tweaks to the dialogue.
- Removed Herobrine.

In the midst of our scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, we sometimes perform hotfixes to address a variety of bugs and issues without bringing down the servers. We will use this post as a collective hub to update our players with the hotfix details, such as when and which fix was applied. Each time there is an update, this post will be bumped up on our news page and the update will clearly be indicated with the date the hotfix was applied. We hope that this will be a useful record and helpful information for our players.

  • Due to an issue we've discovered with the Lara Pre-Creation Event Rewards, we temporarily disabled the Lara Pre-Creation Event Reward quest and the New Maple Leaf Money Box until further notice. We plan to enable them once again after the issue has been addressed for the eligible players who have yet to claim the rewards.
• December 1, 2021 
  • The "Night Snowfield" Flag Race and practice courses have been blocked due to the game client disconnection issues. Players will now be sent to "Daylight Snowfield" instead until December 12.
  • Fixed the issue where there are linebreak error and typos on the Acceptance and Completion text for Burning World Step Up Lv. 220 mission dialogue.
  • Fixed the issue where Maple LIVE's Creator Step Up weekly missions did not reset for Princess No and Akechi Mitsuhide.
  • Fixed the issue where Burning World Step Up's Lv. 220 reward, Unique Emblem Box, could not be opened by Kanna characters.
  • Fixed the issue where completing Maple LIVE's Maple Variety: Tangyoon Restaurant applied the 15-minute queue penalty to all players.
  • We distributed Unique Potential Scroll 100% item to the players who were affected with the issue where certain Unique Potential Scroll 100% items granted Epic rank instead of Unique rank that was addressed during our November 23 maintenance. Please claim the item from your Gift Drop prior to December 15 at 11:59 PM UTC.
