It is time to present you our first major update for Faraday Protocol! The QoL-Update focuses on bringing our level designs to the next level by addressing one of the major issues our players had with some of the puzzles: the platforming segments!
Many puzzle rooms have been redesigned and tweaked by either reducing the amount of platforming you have to do or even by removing full platforming segments and replacing them with new and exciting puzzles!
Take a quick look at the changes right here!
In addition to those major changes, we also fixed and tweaked some minor issues and potential softlocks to give you a hopefully smooth ride through the space station OPIS!
Please let us know what you think of the changes - we can't wait to hear your opinions! Either on Steam or on our game's Discord and Twitter!
MythBusters: The Game - Crazy Experiments Simulator - Argetaie
Hello, Mythbusters!
Ready for a new dose of recent scientific discoveries? Here we go!
The newly discovered frog species in Australia carry tadpoles in their pockets. The hip-pocket frog, also known as the marsupial frog, is a critically endangered species living in the Australian rainforests. They lay eggs on the forest floor, rather than in the water, and after they liquify, tadpoles climb into small pouches near the top of their father’s legs.

The world’s most advanced lab-grown meat facility opens in California. As people become more aware of the devastating environmental cost of animal agriculture, there’s been a boom of vegan alternatives. One company, Upside Foods, offers something different: real meat but grown artificially in a lab. Would you try a lab-grown burger?

Roman slave quarters were unearthed at Pompeii. Like everything discovered so far in this ancient Roman city, they are incredibly well-preserved and archaeologists speculate that it belonged to a family of three (parents and a child) who took care of nearby stables.
35 new black hole collisions were spotted. The international LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA collaboration observed 35 new cosmic collisions that released gravitational waves (tiny vibrations in the fabric of space-time). 32 of them likely involved two colliding black holes. Another two were most likely a result of a much rarer collision of a black hole and neutron star. As to the final event, scientists are uncertain which objects were the cause.
Listen to the extraordinarily beautiful soundtrack by composer Hew Wagner as you follow a Wisp through the stunning levels of The Companion.
Includes all original 20 tracks as well as a bonus track only previously available by purchasing the official soundtrack.
A great experience to have playing while you study, do chores, workout, entertain guests, or just looking to relax.
Over 1 hour of music.
Set to loop automatically.
Features a dynamic "directed camera", providing imagery from a brand new perspective.
Wisp & Camera pathing are randomly generated, providing a unique visual experience on each playthrough.
Optionally: Mute the music and increase the ambience volume to create a Zen-like experience.
Game Improvements
Music has been reimported into the game to use the final soundtrack quality version and is also less compressed within the game.
Final event in the game has been tuned to be slightly easier.
Main Menu screen has been updated to accommodate the new Relaxation Mode.
Loading Splash screens have been visually updated.
Implemented a small adjustment to the localization credits to mitigate some hitching when loading them.
Fixed an issue with the Audio settings where setting volume levels to 0 would stop playing the audio track and the tracks would not resume when raised above 0. This applied to all types of audio: Music, dialogue, ambience, Sound FX. Now audio resumes where it would naturally be.
In conjunction with the above fix, the Master Volume slider will not completely mute the sound when at 0, to mute sounds, set the individual sliders to 0, or Pause the game to stop all sound.
Fixed an issue with some music in some Visions that would not pause if the game is paused.
Increased starting resources when revisiting levels.
Some Highlights have been added to buttons on the Main Menu when using the Gamepad.
We're glad you had fun with our Halloween event! Here's a surprise - we've deleted pumpkins and scary decorations and... provided you with a here-to-stay night mode! You can activate or deactivate it in the main menu :) We're working on adding some new lighting options as well. Do you have any suggestions?
What's changed since the last update?
Here's a quick changelog with some fixes:
Steam achievements that weren't working properly, are now available to get (Something's Fishy, Cold Fish, A Fish Out of Water, Hit Rock Bottom, That's a Bait).
The "Continue" campaign button shouldn't get blocked anymore.
We've managed to fix a memory leak that was sometimes occurring after loading the next scenes.
We've also solved the problem with changing the resolution (for other aspect ratios than 16:9 or 16:10).
Making screenshots was never so easy! Just turn on the observation mode (the little eye icon in the upper left corner) to turn off the UI and click Print Screen or F12 on your keyboard. It shouldn't turn the UI back on now.
And finally... the French translation is there, guys! And hopefully, it's good! :)
What are you working on right now, devs?
Well, everything. Literally! We're working on writing and designing a few new quests for you. We're doing more research on fishes and plants. We're discussing what kind of light we should add to the game and setting a roadmap for developing any new functionalities. And, what's most important to us, we try to keep in touch with you, our dearest community! Thank you for all the feedback you've been providing us with! It's fish-tastic!

Our recent effort has focused on playtesting feedback. We made a lot of quality-of-life improvements to UI to make it easier and more convenient to manage your cash and loot. We made some huge improvements to our core UI management tech that fixed a lot of general bugs and issues with menu management. Longtime players will see tons of improvements to all UI over earlier versions of the game!
We also invested a lot of time into improving our map tech. We added some tools to help us generate and decorate a level layout more quickly and then used the new tech to create all new dungeon maps. The result is more playable Venture maps and fewer map bugs. We will continue to add map variety and unique features to Venture maps in future updates!
