Big update "ver2.00"!
Sorry for the wait! The first big update is coming to ECHOLOCAUTION.
One new stage and two new playable bats will be added to ......, or is it three?
Today's update is for Halloween, and Halloween means bats! We hope you will take this opportunity to come and meet these cute bats.

  • A new stage, "Town," has been added.

    Unlike the previous "Forest" games, this time the adventure is a bit taller and takes place in a town!
    There will be no Silent-Feather owls, but instead cats called Sharp-Claws by the bats will attack you.
    Unlike Silent-Feather, which attacks from the side, Sharp-Claws attack vertically, so you need to change the direction you avoid them.
    Sharp-Claws attack more frequently than Silent-Feather because of their collective behavior, which is another threatening factor.
    After the birds, we are now dealing with the beasts. Let's keep our heads up.

    There is also a tasty gimmick called "Electric Lamp" that lights up the path and collects insects at once.
    Use them aggressively to score combos all at once!

    Towns can be reached after several successful night hunts with "Obake" and "Hallow" added to the family.

  • A new family member, Tengu, has been added.

    Masking his feeble nature with a mask, here comes Tengu, a windigo born in the north!
    Tengu is a bat with the ability to put together insects by flying his whirlwind to the front instead of dashing.
    The whirlwind will send the insects flying a little higher, so be sure to time your combos well before they become too hard to catch.

    Also, during the echo, Tengu wears a predator mask, which makes him stronger and increases his movement speed.
    This is not only to show the duality of the character, but also to help him avoid enemy attacks since he can't use his dash.

    Tengu will come to your house when you complete the "Forest" collection.

  • A new family member, Yama & Kitty, has been added.

    Here comes the uneven duo of Yama, the largest species of Vespertilionidae, and Kitty, the smallest species of bat!
    Normally, Kitty rides on top of Yama and they move together, but when they dash, Kitty is detached and launched.
    While Kitty is detached, she will try to return to Yama's direction, so she can move like a boomerang. It is possible to dash again on the way.
    When the detached Kitty approaches Yama, it will be set above his head once again, making it easier to aim for hunt to fly.
    Also, since Kitty is not damaged by natural enemies, you can force her to catch bugs that are difficult to catch because of natural enemies.
    It's a bit difficult to control, but it's a technical character that scratches an itch.

    Yama is large and can easily catch insects, and its maximum speed is faster than Ohiki's, although its acceleration is slow.
    On the other hand, as a heavyweight, Yama is hard to maneuver, and he has to take the risk of not being able to dash, which makes it difficult for him to avoid attacks from his natural enemies.
    This is a character for advanced players who need to keep an eye on Yama's position while controlling Kitty.

    Yama & Kitty will come to your house when you complete the "Town" collection.

  • A new mode, "Spelunk", has been added.

    Spelunk has been added to the game, where you can take a break from hunting at night and explore the caves that are home to bats.
    You can talk with your fellow bats and play with the collections you've collected.
    There may be hidden rooms in the cave that can only be seen through echoes......?

    Spelunk can be reached from the "Home" menu at the bottom left of the menu.

    Also, this update is a bit inadequate as we were not able to meet the expected volume in time.
    We are planning to add more character conversations in future updates, so we hope you will be patient with us.

  • A new menu item, Directory, has been added.

    The "Directory" menu has been added to allow you to learn more about the characters that appear in the work.
    The character descriptions that were previously available in the Character Change menu have been ported to the Directory.
    You will also be able to read the descriptions of non-playable characters.
    You can also see the various motions of the bats by pressing the decision button on the character page.

About translation

As with the original release, the translation of the added text from Japanese to English has been done by machine translation.

We have decided to release an update that fixes and improves the current game-play and interface.

We have also implemented a new task system which is an important step towards the gameplay we want for the final game.

A new system for visual variations has also been created and we have included some subtle examples in some of the current buildings (more to come).

We have also added a new storage building and many other small fixes and improvements.

Here is 21.10, the Halloween release once again with a lot of new content!!!

We focused on the Halloween mega event but only 12 of our girls could be included so the remaining girls will be in the November update, let's say we celebrate a 2 months Halloween.
Current girls included in the Halloween event: Kylie, Aletta, Alexis, Audrey, Bree, Emma, Harmony, Kleio, Lexi, Minami, Samantha, Sasha.

The yearly Spookening content expands with a more dangerous variant of the demonic worms and a new reward for defeating them. The new glass worm also appears in the desert but is rarer than its bony counterpart.



The demonic remote autoturret deployer is a new weapon format that slowly deploys up to three floating autoturrets over time while active. The deployed turrets are not permanently destroyed as long as their deployer still functions but they are entirely stationary so be sure to deploy them at the right time in battle.
