Gameplay:

● Improved the durability drain rate of equipment that automatically drains
under specific circumstances. Example: oxygen efficiency equipment and
heat equipment.

● Adjusted the player's view detection range for special story elements such as
the Aurelius and the World Forge. Quinn now says the dialogue when it's
within the player's view range.

● Upgrading plants now saves their progress instead of resetting after resuming a saved game.

● Added new heat sources to the Obelisks and torches inside Barr Hollow.

● Removed the radiation hazard from Barr Hollow and improved nearby creatures and terrain colliders.

● Fixed collision on various environmental assets that players could get stuck on.

● Fixed an issue where Brachylon Warriors guarding the Oasis gates would leave and not return.


User Interface:

● Added the Live News ticker to the main menu, which features scrollable screens that players can click on to get more information outside of the game. Steam store page, Discord invite, feature suggestions and bug reporting, Help Center, etc.

● Fixed various grammatical errors and missing information in the games' user interface.

● Fixed the issue where hosts could not add other steam users via the in-game player browser.

● Fixed the issue where food cooked using the portable stove would lerp to every nearby players' inventory.

● Updated various icons to match newly added models on the map and inventory.

● Improved controller support in various user interface screens.

● Fixed a visual issue where the items you received from scanning story
templates lerped twice - misleading the player in regards to what they received.

● Fixed an issue where harvesting or foraging Tamber Plants, Oxygen Bubbles
and other interactables with the map open, would cause the wrong icon to appear/remain.

● Fixed an issue where clients would lose their maps on re-joining a multiplayer game.


Audio:

● Fixed sounds playing during loading, the wrong music playing while paused
and other audio improvements.


Visuals:

● Crafted deployables now match the player’s chosen custom colors.

● Updated the visuals of the Security Baton and Tamber Cloth.

● Polishing various effects such as the fireballs explosion, Bloom Sprites and Void Rifts.

● Various improvements to environmental assets, collision and visual changes.
Examples: creatures running through assets, visible lines on the ground,
incorrectly displaying areas on the map and more.

● Updated various animations for Brachylon and other creatures. Improved
movement of the Brachylon inside of the Oasis.

● Fixed an issue where when structures were being attacked, their damaged effects
were being played at the centre of the world.


Technical:

● Games will now restart world generation if it fails to spawn all important story
environmental assets.

● Various optimizations, improvements and fixes to crashes reported by the community.

● Players can no longer share save games and unlock all achievements that the
saved file had unlocked

NOTE: Unfortunately your old saved game states are incompatible between the old and new version due to the amount of changes all those fixes required. We apologize for this, unfortunately due to technical limitations it was unavoidable.

Your overall campaign progress remains, but you will have to restart the last chapter you haven’t finished yet.

  • [Bugfix] Achievement 'It Will Rain' will now be properly unlocked for players joining someone else’s game.

In this update, I would like to thank the player Mythagic for his suggestions and his reports. Thanks mate.

With a big update coming at the end of next month, I wanted to give the WOP community more content and improvements for these holidays.

This update greatly improves the look of the game, balances it more and makes it more accessible. Here you have the complete changelog:

ADDED
- A new image for the cursor.
- A new panel with all investigations completed (pushing the investigation button).
- New indicator when change the food amount.

IMPROVEMENTS
- The food production code has been revamped. (Credit Mythagic)
- The Science Panel has been improved (it looks better now).
- Isolated citizens cannot fall in love or interact with other.
- You can push Investigation icon in the main screen to access to panel of the investigations completed.
- You can push War Turns icon in the main screen to access to Security and War panel.
- You can push drugged drinks icon in the happy room panel to access to make more drugged drinks.
- Some texts have been redrafted to make them clearer.
- A lot of minor improvements.

CHANGES
- There are 3 traitors now at the beginning of the game.
- Each citizen consumes 5 food now. 4 -> 5.
- Isolated citizens are rehabilitated. They lose their society and crime if they had, but they lose happiness.
- Isolated citizens lose their jobs, but it can be assigned again.
- You can not free isolated citizens if you have isolated some citizen this turn.
- The icon of 'Free Isolated Citizens' has been changed.

BUGFIXES
- Fixed some sounds not playing.
- Fixed a strange bug whereby a drunk citizen would cease to be a traitor if he had previously had a crime.
- Fixed a minor bug with Happy Room.
- Correction in the background color of Happy Room
- Some typos fixed.

Happy Halloween!

The Rust Halloween event is upon us! We've released a mandatory patch containing lots of spooky features, enabled the Trick or Treat event, NPC scarecrows and much more!

This year we've added a new addition to the Halloween event: Frankenstein's monster!



To get started building your own monster first you must slay scarecrows and mummies which roam the lands. Once you've collected a head, torso and legs. Craft yourself a Frankenstein's table and place the body parts within the table, awaken your new pet monster and control it by pressing "P".



The monster will follow your orders without question. It'll follow you around the map, defend you if attacked and help slay foes you wish to attack.



If you're having trouble accessing the pet menu or already have a key bound to "P" then use the following console command: bind X +pets


Trick Or Treat Event

Once roughly every two in-game days, a candy hunt event will begin. You'll have 3 minutes to collect as many candies as you can. The top 3 players are given special loot bags as a reward. These candies and loot bags can be opened for various types of loot ranging from scrap all the way up to an M249!

If you don't make the podium, that's okay. The Candies you collect can be upgraded for better loot.



There are various items available to help you during your hunt. The Pumpkin Bucket will allow instant pickup of candies and the Scarecrow Wrap and ghost costume will provide you with advantage via Candy Vision.



The Halloween event will run until November 4th.

Through many years of research, it was discovered skulls are just as good at gathering resources as rocks.

Display your artistic side with the new carvable pumpkin item.



The carvable pumpkin can now be purchased at the Rust item store.

Puddle Knights now features localization to 5 other languages in addition to English:
-Spanish

-Simplified Chinese
-Finnish
-Latin (including Roman numerals!)

Needless to say, playing in Latin is the only way to get the fully historically accurate experience.
