Hey everyone! Allow me to introduce myself; I'm Man-O'-War, the sole developer of HEKA. This is my first ever officially published product that the public is able to openly play. If you aren't familiar with HEKA already, it was originally designed for Itch.io's Horror Themed Game Jam #2! It quickly grew out of scope for the 30 day limit I was given so I decided that I would ship it over to Steam to complete my original vision for the game.
The game I am submitting for the Jam is finished (given the criteria of the Jam), however, it is through the use of Steam and it's Early Access features that I can update, improve and expand on everything I've already made! Early Access also presents the perfect opportunity for the community to test and give feedback to make HEKA a better experience for every player!
Steam permitting I am planning to launch HEKA on November 1st! HEKA will also be downloadable on Itch.io as well, perhaps a few days sooner so I don't miss that upcoming deadline!
I am excited to begin this journey with all of you and I hope you all will join me through the journey that is Early Access! Thank you for your time!
Whew... The tournament has given us a hard time. More than 60 bugs have been fixed. Here are the most significant ones:
― In the Puddle event , you now can’t get The Thing Without A Name if it’s already in the inventory; ― freezing in some battles fixed; ― the disappearing road in the swamps fixed; ― missing animation for certain elves fixed; ― incorrect quest mechanics fixed; ― looping music in the Castle battles fixed; ― incorrect display of the buff tooltip on the card fixed; ― effects of reducing card cost for the Veteran perk fixed.
