Hello Ghost Hunters !


Halloween is fast approaching and with it, its share of novelties ! Not to say too much, here are some of these new features, you will have more details in the coming weeks.

First of all ! As you can see in the thumbnail, we have a new logo, designed by the talented MenaceInk. With him signs the start of a future total overhaul of the game's graphic charter, to make it more professional, more interesting.

Then, the game will be on sale during the Halloween sales !

For our streamer friends, whom we thank for their devotion, their commitment, and their many blackouts in the face of evil entities, we are preparing for Halloween a collaboration with Dixper. A default Dixper cards deck will soon be available for Ghost Hunters Corp.

Unfortunately, a demon had fun blurring our archive footage, so here's a little sneak peek at some of the cards in the default Ghost Hunters Corp deck on Dixper :



We have changed our monitoring tools for better fluidity, whether for users or the team. So here is the new "Roadmap" for the features we are working on, plan to work on, update, etc : Clic here to see it.

This weekend, the one-of-a-kind Energy Surge Season kicks up to the next level, with all territories reset and Season Points doubled... and we'll be broadcasting all the action live!

Tune in to the AlbionTV Twitch channel starting Saturday at 17:30 UTC, where hosts Shozen, Bogul and Lewpac will be broadcasting live with a 15-minute delay.

Starting at 18:00 UTC, guilds will have new opportunities to claim territories and launch attacks. Those in the North and South American time zones can also tune in for the second round of territory resets on Sunday at 00:30 UTC with hosts Bogul, Shozenwon and Robinhoodrs, with territories becoming claimable at 01:00 UTC.

Be sure to stick around between the two reset broadcasts, as we'll be broadcasting high-level Crystal League fights with no delay.

We are excited to release a HUGE update to our demo! Please welcome: The Multiplayer Update! There are TONS of improvements and new features, so grab a cup of tea and let’s explore the changes!

New Mode — Multiplayer!
Have a first taste of SOTI’s multiplayer together with your friend!

UI
We’ve fully reworked the game’s UI! It should be much better than the old one, and we’d love to hear your feedback on it.
- Removed the character from the inventory section of the UI. It was pretty much unnecessary and just bloated the screen.
- Changed the UI for player texts.
- Fixed lots of UI-related errors and glitches. The partial list will be in the ‘Fixes” section,

CHANGES
- We’ve improved the day and night cycles of the game. You’ll notice the difference right away!
- Because of the change above, you will now move slower when tired (since the day lasts longer, and some buffs were also changed accordingly).
- Movement camera got some big improvements.
- Various graphical and performance improvements. The game should run and look better on all systems.
- Many adjustments for basic needs (food, water, sleep) system. We’ve got a lot of feedback about these and did our best to make them feel better. Please let us know if we hit the spot!
- Added new places with the special “fixed POV” camera! Prepare your screenshot buttons and capture some lovely scenery!

IMPROVEMENTS
- Improved camera movement;
- Improved trees and other nature props: you won’t need to reload your game anymore to spawn more nature props when a season is changed (it was a limitation that we fixed);
- Improved how items drop from various objects (like rocks);
- Improved creature spawning timer (smaller chance for the player to see creatures spawning);
- Improved stairs collision;
- Improved the player character’s animation when walking on stairs;
- Crops that were watered before, now stay watered even if you harvest the crop;
- Added a special effect when NPC goes to sleep or wakes up;
- Improved collision in all lakes;
- Improved player collision with other players in multiplayer;
- Improved player collision with animals;
- Water pumps are now working properly (both player-built and environmental ones).

FIXES
Fixed: some items had their worth valued at zero;
Fixed: health and stamina bars flickering;
Fixed: wrong grass colors when changing seasons;
Fixed: trees spawning fruits when they shouldn’t;
Fixed: UI width for all crafting stations;
Fixed: game crash if animals grow while the player is exploring other islands;
Fixed: animals not changing their needs when sleeping (or any other game state, but playing);
Fixed: some animal localization texts were incorrect;
Fixed: adjusted the brightness of flashlight reflections in the ocean;
Fixed: mouse scroll in some windows was going through the mask window;
Fixed: water reflection on the mini-map was incorrect;
Fixed: you could see the health bar of the other players through the ground;
Fixed: patched a small hole between the bridge and player island;
Fixed: "performance warning" showing up. We don't have that annoying thing anymore;
Fixed: player beds during winter were showing snow VFX. Although it was kinda funny;
Fixed: some main menu windows were not scaling correctly;
Fixed: wrong main menu letters (upper and lower case);

...and about three other pages of various fixes! We don’t want to list these as they aren’t that interesting to read anyway.

Blazing Sails - Wide Ben
Hi there me lads!

We've been very busy lately with some long term stuff which is why it's been a bit quiet last few weeks. But we've also been working on a new update which we're releasing today!

Today's update includes a complete new Tiki inspired set, ancient crowns, new ancient tattoos, new facial hair types, new earrings and more!



We've also added some awesome new level based unlockables on the progression timeline, like a grim reaper bow figure, a monocle, a dagger in the mouth and more!



So far we've added 5 unlockable cosmetics to the first few levels and 1 towards the end of the progression timeline. This is only the first of many to come though, as we will add more and more with each new update! Upcoming items include unique peg legs, hats, hooks, face items and more!



Aside from new cosmetics we've also reworked conquest a bit by reducing the amount of active flags from 3 to 1 to create a bit more conflict and shift the focus more on combat instead of running around the map capturing flags. We're still very much tweaking the conquest gamemode so keep in mind that changes like these are still experimental. We've also fixed some exploits and improved ship respawning so it's no longer possible to spawnkill new ships. Aside from that the ticket depletion is now also based on server player amount and crew size.

We've also vastly improved the tutorial with many more visual cues, cleaner tooltips, new animations and more in-between steps to make the tutorial experience as easy to follow as possible.

And that's not all! We've now also enabled the Steam Community items! Trading cards, badges, backgrounds and emoticons can now be collected!



Patch Notes:

Conquest improvements:
  • Now only one flag is active at once instead of 3 which depletes 3 times as fast
  • Destroyed ships now respawn on spawn point furthest away from other ships
  • Ticket depletion of ships now based on players on ship's crew
  • Kill ticket depletion now based on amount of players on the server
  • Conquest pre-game timer reduced to 60s

Gameplay improvements:
  • Players are now kicked out of cannons, swivel cannons, steering wheel, sails and other "vehicles" when the ship is destroyed

Sharpness filter:
  • Added a sharpness filter slider to the video options menu

Tutorial improvements:
  • Added more visual cues and made the tutorial much easier to follow
  • Reworked pop up animation and visuals
  • Added some extra in between steps to improve overall experience

  • 6 level based unlocks added to timeline (more will follow in coming updates):
    - level 3: dagger in mouth
    - level 9: double braided beard
    - level 15: wheat straw in mouth
