It's been four months since Lacuna's release, and we want to thank you all again for your support. The game is about to hit 500 reviews, which is huge. Besides the positive feedback, you have provided some great suggestions for additions and improvements and voiced some complaints, too. That is why we're releasing another big update today! Here's what changed in a nutshell.


New CDI agents can be found all around the headquarters

• Vastly reduced GPU & CPU load, the game should now achieve higher FPS on weaker machines
  
• Sturdier code at low FPS, which prevents bugs when the framerate does dip
  
• Eliminated FPS drops when loading UI
  
• Eliminated animation stutter when moving

Flag icons indicating the save game language in the selection screen

• Text and voice language can now be set independently
  
• Language of each save game is now displayed in selection screen
  
• Added double-check for leaving settings with unsaved changes
  
• Added a 'restore defaults' button to all settings menus
  
• Improved 'progress icon' indicating different phases of an ongoing dialog
  
• Improved controls & icons for PlayStation controllers

The icon in the bottom right now has more states to improve legibility

• Eliminated bugs where player would overshoot, glitch past, or slide down stairs
  
• Numerous new animations, new Extras, more CDI agents, and other eye candy added
  
• Fixed some text and VO errors across all languages
  
• Various small bug fixes

Added child Extras in parts of the city

• Added Malaysian translation (text only)
  
• Traditional Chinese is coming in two weeks

A few words about the Lost Scavenger plot. Events unfold in a dying world. It almost does not differ from ours, except for one fact - 30 years ago this world was captured by something called Mist. It looks like an ordinary fog, but after entering it, they don't come back: some go crazy, others turn into mutants, and rumors about the fate of others are even worse...

The player enters this world for reasons inexplicable to him. To find the answers you want, you first need to survive. The player's attitude to the Mist and the path along which he will go will determine the further development of the story. Will he try to return home, will he decide to fight the Mist, or will he try to understand it and reveal its secrets?

This world is a strange place to which the player does not belong. To survive, you will have to get used to the necessity to go against your conscience. A choice will constantly arise: is your own temporary well-being more important than humanity and the pangs of conscience? One way or another, it will hurt either your body or your state of mind. Whatever decision the character makes, considering it right or necessary at this moment, sooner or later the consequences will make themselves felt. In order not to tell too much the details of the plot and possible events, I will only say that Lost Scavenger is an adult game, it does not avoid topics of sex, drugs and cruelty. So death is not the worst thing that can happen to a character.

Adventure awaits you on a gloomy island that has long been consumed by plague. Endless diseases and epidemics have left a serious imprint on the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of local residents. Staying in most areas is dangerous not only because of the starving critters and the risk of infection, but also other travelers trying to survive and get their hands on Morbium.

Morbium (Ore of the Dead) - a valuable resource with which you can endow your blade or armor plates with special properties. Equipped with morbium, you can defeat even the most powerful critters on Plague Island. You will also need this equipment on the main continent to become stronger in PvE and PvP battles.
But Plague Island is rich not only in the Ore of the Dead, but you can also get leprous hides and organs, grim wood, spores, arsenic, and many other materials, minerals, and herbs useful for almost all professions. Use new materials to construct improved production buildings, storages, and gloomy decorations for your territory. Craft new ingredients, medicines, and equipment. Get unique pets and mounts!

Explore the Dark Forest and the dangerous Marshlands, the Plague City, with its maze of streets and large abandoned houses, many decayed corpses, and dangerous inhabitants. Get to the most distant places - Infected Bog and a new dungeon.

This great update will be out on October 14th! There will be no additional charges for content and rewards in this update.

In the next article we will tell you more about the inhabitants of the Plagued Continent, diseases, and zone rules (PvP, loot rules, etc.).

Along with important bugfixes, this update brings two features requested for a while :

You can now chose between Head (HDM) or Controller (CDM) to define the direction of you movement !
You can also chose the left of the right joystick (or trackpad) to be used as the movement one independently from left / right handed mode !
