Hello, everyone! It’s Kyle from Cenokga!
The Re Brand and Major Update for Starclaw: Battle of StarSpace Nebula is finally here!
Introducing:
Kowi Ishto: Battle of Akonoli
I thank God and my Lord Jesus for helping me as a single developer get this far and also learn new techniques along the way.
I also want to thank Benjamin Anderson, Friendly Cosmonaut and Kazan Games for there various videos and tools.
This new version has some major changes to the gameplay and player experience.
If the game shows any errors, you might need to uninstall and reinstall the game.
While the main story remains the same, there is a little more detail in the opening cutscence and a completely redone controller connection.
When you connect a controller, it is now detected automatically whether you are using an XInput Controller or a Direct Input controller. However, there are still some drawbacks if using a Direct Input controller. Which would be:
Direct Input controllers do not rumble when used without external software (Use external software at your own risk.).
Mapping might be unreliable.
Some Direct Input controllers cut in and out creating a “stuttering effect” with the player movement.
Multiplayer controller connection uses the same way of connecting controllers. Which means less menus to go through.
Officially tested are:
Xbox One Controller.
Xbox Series S|X Controller.
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Original
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller - Afterglow
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Wired - Yoshi
Joy-Con (Right)
Joy-Con (Left)
Retrobit Mega Man SNES gamepad.
PlayStation 4 DualShock 4.
PlayStation 5 DualSense.
Although, the Xbox Series X|S Controller works like it should while playing the game, it tries to connect as a 2nd device while it's connecting. A small temporary fix has been applied, so It should not have this behavior in game, since as soon as the 2nd device is connected, it gets unassigned. But, if this kind of behavior happens, you might need to use a different controller to play in multiplayer. Since the 2nd device connects and one controller can control two players.
Controllers confirmed to not work or Glitch:
These controllers work, but the Joystick movement and Buttons are sometimes sticky.
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Original
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller - Afterglow
Joy-Con (Right)
Joy-Con (Left)
Popular Controllers not yet Tested:
These controllers may work, but have not been officially tested.
Steam Controller.
All 8bitdo gamepads.
Player Experience:
A little more has been added to the Story and some Cutscences.
Player Ship cannot move out of screen at the bottom. Player Ship can still move outside the screen at the top. As this is for game design reasons.
The Auto Pilot has been changed to be always on.
The Auto Fire Option is On by default, to hold down the fire button to fire lasers. The Auto Fire can be switched Off, if you prefer to press every time to fire button to fire lasers.
Game Changes:
Enemy Spawners have been placed in Boss Rooms, giving the player chances for Energy and Power Ups.
Energy Pick Up Spawn Rate from enemies has been lowered.
1-Up Pick Up Spawn from Enemies has been removed.
A new gem item has been added which just gives scores based on the gem.
The rate at which Star Gems appear has been raised.
Controls have been changed. Please see the Controls guide at the start of the game.
Graphic Improvements:
Various Graphical improvements to enemies and characters.
Bottom prompts have been changed.
Pop Ups saying what the Item or Power Up is when you get it.
We’ve got some exciting news! We’re rolling out our first faction specific unit. The Biomass Burger’s Reaper-class bots. They have a lethal scythe that does extra damage to units, but is weaker against structures. Reaper Bots also come with a cursed digital tome chained to their backs, and some new sweet robes. This is part of our effort to release new content to you each week, so stay tuned for more updates.
Changes we made to the game for this update:
Biomass Burger’s new special unit
We added a gradient to post game screen along with scan lines to assist authentication for competitive play
Squads now respawn at the nearest unit-producing building
Fixed ground clipping when rolling
fixed the upgrade weapon swap bug
3rd tier weapons now appear when your unit reaches level 9 instead of level 6
We are pleased to announce we will now be releasing on January 25th, 2022.
We have come so close to adding all the features and content that we were planning on including for the full release that we don’t see a reason to enter early access anymore.
We will simply release Mortal Online 2 on January 25th, with our heavily requested housing system in place along with a heavy dose of polish, bug fixes and extra content, bypassing the early access phase completely.
This news will undoubtedly come as a disappointment to many of you who were eagerly anticipating the previously upcoming October release, and we understand these frustrations. We want nothing more than to show the world what Mortal Online 2 has to offer, but most importantly, we care about delivering the most content rich, stable and fun experience we possibly can, and we promise it will be worth the wait.
If you just can’t wait to get your hands on the game however, the closed beta is still running and you can participate by donating on our website for a beta package.
The beta will continue to run up until the release in January.
Note: A subscription is not required to play during the beta period.
Infinity Wars: Animated Trading Card Game - Lightmare Studios
Heya everyone, an official update that's been some time in the making we finally get to share.
We're leaving Pre-Alpha, and celebrating with a free weekend!
With the recent optimisation updates, as well as the current state of the Infinity Card Engine, we're happy enough to officially move out of our Pre-Alpha phase, starting with our upcoming patch next week! With this, we'll also be opening the game up to everyone to enjoy for the weekend, where we'll be stress-testing the servers, and getting more data on how the game is performing on average setups. We'll also have a Dev chat happening on that same day, and livestreams over the weekend. The weekend will start from the moment the patch goes live, and will stay active until the Monday to follow. And, as part of this weekend, all users will have double XP enabled for the Summit, so come check it out between the 24th and 26th.
Additionally, we have our first implementation of a new feature that we're hoping for some feedback on; Pack Openings. For this, we'll be giving our existing Patrons their owed packs as per their Patreon tier and subscription length. We'll also have packs to give away to people who play against devs on live stream, and it goes without saying that the cards you get will be yours to keep.
Our full free-to-play open beta and kickstarter for the new set Intrigue are both on the way, likely happening pretty closely to one another, and while we can't promise these will be out by the end of the year, it's certainly what we are working towards. Please keep your expectations tempered though, we generally don't like speaking of dates to manage expectations, but we wanted to share because honestly, it's super exciting, and we wanna see you get hyped with us.
Be sure to tell a friend about the free weekend, and jump in to play some games against those who show up to play! And, for those who aren't patrons and just want to get involved in the free weekend, you can start by installing the game through Steam using the link here; https://store.steampowered.com/app/257730/Infinity_Wars_Animated_Trading_Card_Game/
You'll have access to the Demo of the game before the weekend comes if you want to get a feel for the game again, and when the update goes live you'll be free to build your decks and play your friends to your heart's content.
