Rocco's Island: Ring to End the Pain - Common Good

Hello all,
Today we wanted to share a video that includes the first impression of the game. Rocco's Island begins the game by showing Evelyn's nightmare and waking up on a desolate beach. Our intensions were to leave a lot of room for the player to figure out what to do and decide where to go.
So here it is. =) Please let us know what you think. We are receiving feedback that the game is too slow and loose from the beginning, however we think it is necessary room for the player to think and explore the possibilities.
We haven't really worked on the camera yet, but we think it's too closed in to the character at this moment. So allow us to work on it to tune the immersiveness moving forward.

We would like to thank everyone that has actively been involved in phase I and II of the Steam play test and helped in the development and testing of the latest update 0.3.9a.
In the final week before we open the Steam Store for Early Access we have sent out our final batch of invites to Phase III of the Playtest. Trystan is now available and we have the first pass of our new building system.

[Crimson Lily] - Pure Evil: Changed to apply cooldown reduction effects only to the current Karma’s normal skills. - Fixed last hit of basic combo to recover stamina instead of consuming stamina. - Removed stamina cost from switch attacks. - Improved awkward flow of damage using Crimson Lily against a target located in front at a higher elevation. (Reduced knock-up distance of Basic Combo, Air Combo, Chase Attack) - Reduced Rage gauge recharge rate from HP consumed by skills by 50%. - Blood Storm Rage Skill’s aura effect is generated faster.
[Lightning Fang] - Blink Kunai’s skill damage reduced by 30%. - Dimension Slash’s skill damage reduced by 30%. - Lightning Storm’s skill damage reduced by 50%.

Bug Fixes
1) Fixed the bug where using Bloodthirst as Crimson Lily would not display the Bloodthirst effect in PVE 2) Removed stamina costs for switching from Crimson Lily to other Karmas 3) Fixed the bug where HP recovery from Blood Rush would apply to skills from other Karma that are not Crimson Lily 4) Fixed the bug where Dash – LMB with Dual Soul would occasionally only register 1 attack 5) Fixed the bug where using double jump – RMB as Lightning Fang in certain terrain would move its user away 6) Fixed the bug where if the player switches to Lightning Fang and uses Lightning Ambush after initiating chase with a different Karma, the target would be dropped. 7) Fixed the issue where if Ruler of Darkness's Demonic Beast Glove (L) (Female) is equipped, some of the effects would be situated incorrectly. 8) Fixed the bug where Training Grounds Slayer AI incorrectly had the defense of a Breaker instead of that of a Slayer.
ADDED: Melee and Unarmed now ignore a flat percentage of an enemy's armor value. This percentage increases as your Lethality and Force subattributes grow, respectively. TWEAK: Option menu audio sliders now snap to whole numbers. No one needs a decimal worth of volume change. TWEAK: Your hirelings will attempt to evade the weapon boxes (and thus their explosions) spawned into Slaughter Time. TWEAK: Changes to how NPCs decide to dodge obstacles and sniper fire. They were also sometimes dodging when they shouldn't. TWEAK: Small changes to Disquieted teleport so you don't end up in ridiulous places. TWEAK: Squadmates who die in the Sleepwalker mission won't end up in the medbay. FIXED: Contract 4 would crash after load. FIXED: Slaughter Time floors weren't allowing the Disquieted teleport to work. FIXED: Music would turn off after adjusting its volume. FIXED: Hirelings who died on a mission but received enough XP on a previous wave to level up, will now do so. FIXED: Assigning weapons to a character who doesn't appear in a stage with you would cause the item to vanish forever.

Accessibility Suggestions

Hotfix 0.14.3.2
Last week, we released a hotfix to fix some issues with the previous update.
Work continues on the next update to Tower Unite, Update 0.14.4.0, which will introduce the Private Theaters, rentable private screens for you and your friends complete with a bar!
This update will also include the new Lazer Tag arena, as well as Track 2 to the Accelerate map, "Sunrise Isles".
In addition, this update will include several quality of life changes and bug fixes.

macdguy continued working on finishing Private Theatres. He completed the booking system, the theatre system, the bar, along with other features.
Johanna continued working on the Shooting Gallery ride.
JJosh worked on new prizes and plushes for the Arcade, as well as updated NPCs for the Bowling Alley.
Wheezwer continued working on Murals and Wanted Posters for the Shooting Gallery ride.

Condo
macdguy added drifting and ramp support to vehicles, made the platform in Smooth Dirt toggle-able, and added a new "Placeable Dynamic Light Shadow" feature. He also continued working on Condo I/O, this week working on push and trigger volumes.
madmijk worked on optimizing the code for the Laser Projector item.
Sketchman worked on various tweaks and improvements to the Gizmo system, and also made improvements to the High Rise condo.
Placeable Dynamic Light Shadows
This new feature adds a new setting to the settings menu to allow placeable lights to cast shadows. This feature can be extremely expensive, but can improve lighting in the condo and help condo builders convey their intended design.
Improved Condo Gizmos
The Gizmos will now keep a steady size on the screen, regardless how close or far away the player is. Players can now also translate, rotate, and scale multiple items at once!
