Fixed a problem where the camera position would be wrong in some areas when restarting with the R key right after the start.
Fixed the problem where the camera on the side where the player is not present would be selected in the area where the propeller is rotating in the blue stage.

Some exciting news - we're going to be running a Steam Playtest for the game, and you can sign up right now!!
Now the game is pretty much finished we're looking to do some serious testing and bug hunting and just make sure all round that we're making APICO the best game it could possible bee.
What's a Playtest?
If you haven't heard of Steam Playtest, it's essentially just a new way that Steam lets devs do playtests of their game without having to mess around with keys.
You sign up to join the Playtest, then when it's available Steam randomly picks a bunch of people who have signed up to give them access to the game! You can sign up right from the APICO Steam page (and maybe give it a lil wishlist if you haven't already while you are there? :D)
Now the game is feature + content complete we are still picking away at a few little bits but overall the core game is done! (yippee). We're still getting things like the localisation added and setting up things for consoles, but in terms of the full game it's all there and waiting to bee explored!
We want to take this time to get any feedback from players - what isn't obvious, what was boring, what was confusing etc, as well as find any major bugs that we've overlooked.
Obviously at this point any major features or ideas won't be added right now (although we have plans for future content), this is more just for sense checking and bugs and also giving some people the opportunity to play further than the demo!
How Long
The Playtest will run from the 30th August to 12th September - we'll also be running our proper QA with Whitethorn at the same time so you can expect little updates during the Playtest to fix any major breaking issues too!
After that we'll be closing the Playtest so we can take on any feedback, make any changes, fix a hella lot of bugs, and finally prepare ourselves for the console slog.

Now that the game has gone free-to-play, we will be holding a couple of events you should be aware of, in addition to the in-game events we mentioned in the previous announcement. Here are the details:
1. Steam Gift Card Event on Gleam We will be giving away $200 worth of Steam Gift Cards through a Gleam event!
Event time: From 8/26/2021 at 4AM GMT ~ 9/2/2021 at 4AM GMT
The rules are simple. Sign-in to Gleam and link your Steam account, then play Iron Conflict for an hour or more to get a chance at winning one of several Steam Gift Cards. Once you’ve done that, other actions will unlock, allowing you to earn additional chances to win one of the gift cards.
Here’s the list of gift packs we will be giving away:

This event is available to both new and old commanders, so if you’ve played Iron Conflict for at least an hour in the past, you’ll automatically get an entry when you link your Steam account on Gleam.
2. Twitch Drops Event We will be holding a Twitch Drops event with streamers on Twitch. Watch any streamer play Iron Conflict for a certain amount of time during the following time periods to get in-game rewards. Here are the reward details:
8/26 at 2AM GMT ~ 9/9 at 2AM GMT: Watch for 1 hour: Premium Account Time (7 days) Watch for 2 hours: 10 Reward Cards

We've just updated the game with an incremental patch. Based on community feedback, we've fixed/added the following :-
- Adjusted maximum upwards aiming angle, you're now able to aim significantly higher than before - Added a new Audio tab to the options menu, allowing adjustment of music and SFX volume - Tweaked lighting and colors on the Quantum Cores and Batteries in the OKT areas, making them easier to see if they've been activated or not.
These are relatively minor/quick fixes, but please be assured we are also tackling bigger issues and features for future patches. Thank you for supporting the game!
