Another update to Survive Into Night! Like all updates there is a fun new weapon to craft and test out against the Undead. You can craft the Chainsaw now and start trimming off some heads and limbs. Zombies have been animated and feel more "alive" then ever before! In addition to that there have been many improvements to the game itself to make the entire experience better all around.

Yes. We know it's Saturday, but why wait? We've got the integration with Steam workshop up and running and there's no reason to delay it further.

Modding support v1.0
As the image says, this update brings Modding support v1.0. That means we're not done with it completely. It will take time to cram all we want regarding modding into the game, but this is a great start. A whole lot can be modified already, but we'll keep on working on the toolset and the documentation.

You'll notice that the Mods button on the game launcher now works. Also, the Workshop tab is now accessible in the Steam community. Those two combined means you can subscribe to a mod on the Workshop, download it via Steam client and activate it through the game launcher. Easy :).

We've written a short Steam guide on the process to give a bit of an assistance which can be found in the Guides section.

And we went ahead and created 3 mods for you right away. Had to test it all somehow, no ;)? Some new banners, a transparent UI and an always sunny weather edition.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! Once you save your game with a mod, the save will no longer work without that mod!

The above is for mod users, but what about mod creators? We've got you covered, partially at least. The Patron Wiki on Fandom will be the home for a growing number of articles and tutorials on modding Patron. We've done several starter tutorials and more will be added of course. Feel free to let us know which topics interest you the most so we can prioritize more easily.

Clearly the focus of this update is modding support, but that's not exactly all we've done. The changelog is short this time around, but it should still help:

  • Added Hungarian language into the game
  • Done a number of improvements and fixes in the Italian localization
  • Working efficiency stat removed from the citizen info panel
  • Done a number of smaller changes aimed at increasing game stability
  • Added MaterialEditor.exe into the game installation folder (for creators)
  • Added ModManager.exe into the game installation folder (for creators)
  • Added the official Always Sunny mod to the Workshop. No more rain, snow, hail... only sunny all year long
  • Upgrading Houses via the Buildings panel no longer switches them to the same model

The next bigger thing on the to-do list is Auto-trading via Docks/Harbor and we'll do our best to implement as many of the requested things and various fixes as we can.

Flask Customization Menu
Visit Binder and select the Flask menu at the top of the crafting menu to access Flask customization options.



The Flask menu lists all Flask Effects which can be applied to your Flask. Each of the 17 available Flask Effects has a Point value, shown by colored dots next to the effect. Stronger effects have higher Point values.



Characters start with 1 Flask Point at level 1, and gain an additional point every 10 levels, up to a maximum of 4. Flask Effects which you cannot afford will not be shown.



Let's select some Flask Effects!



Here we can see our Flask Point meter filling up. This character is an archer, so we're going to rearrange some Flask Effects and grab Wildshot.



That's it! You can customize each character's Flask as much as you want at no cost. You can use the new Flask icon near your equipment loadout to view your Flask Effects at any time.

  • Zabaoth T1 - Warlord: All Shout skills taunt nearby enemies and increase Health Regeneration by 10 for 4 seconds. This effect does not stack.
  • Orias T2 - Menace: Enemies taunted by you take 10% more damage from all sources. Threat generation increased by 150%.
  • Orias T1 - Vicious Block: Blocking an attack returns 15% of the incoming damage to the attacker. Parrying an attack returns 30% of the incoming damage to the attacker.
  • Alcaeus T1 - Eviscerator: Each sword or axe equipped adds a 10% chance on Melee Hits to Bleed the target for 50% of the damage dealt over 5 seconds.
  • Cerridwen T1 - Horde: Summons cost 25% less mana and have 30% less health and damage.
  • Kirkira T1 - Scholar: Max Mana increased by 10%.
Kirkira - Mana Frenzy Rework
10% chance on Spell Hits to gain Mana Frenzy, increasing Mana Regen, Spell Damage, Attack Speed, and Cooldown Speed by 15% for 4 seconds.

Sendatu - Talented Healer: Now applies potion effects at 50% duration, or 50% strength if an effect has no duration.

Other Notes

Scouting has gotten a huge improvement this week, faster, more accurate, and more fun all around. Be sure to give it a try because I think you'll find yourself relying on it much more, default controls are 2 key to select your monster power (the target) and 1 to use!

Hi, I'm rolling back the update to 3.3.1 due to some game-breaking errors caused by the project being hastily moved to GMS2. This will also roll back the macOS version to work only on pre-Snow Leopard versions. Sorry for any inconvenience!

I'll hopefully be able to roll out a corrected 3.3.2 within the next few weeks.
Rogue Shift Playtest - Far-flung Games
  • Balance: slowed down the pace of introducing new enemy types in Story mode Chapter 1. For example, no more Space Ducks early on mixed with Scorpions.
  • Fixed: when buying an item from the shop and that item slot becomes empty, an error occurred which prevented the UI from being updated correctly after the purchase.
  • Fixed: when replaying Chapter 1 after completing it, previously unlocked Psionics will now work correctly.
  • Changed: when replaying a chapter, you have to find that chapter's Keycards again. They are not saved when completing the chapter. This prevents the flow of the chapter from being disrupted, especially important in Chapter 2 where locating a keycard is a main objective.
