Today, Falling Squirrel's award-winning, audio-only action-adventure game The Vale: Shadow of the Crown launches on PC (Steam, itch.io, and Epic Games) and Xbox One!
We have so many people to thank! The CNIB , Ontario Creates, Creative Bytes Studios, Microsoft, Ubisoft , the community at AudioGames.net , all of our testers and fans, our friends and family, and all of the talented developers, musicians, actors, designers, artists, and many more who helped make The Vale possible! Thank you!
But that’s enough from me- go put on your headphones, grab a controller, and play through a gaming experience that’s unlike anything you’ve played before!
The last hours of Medic's Kickstarter campaign are ahead of us!
This is the last chance for you to support us and our project. Of course, only if you like what we have presented so far.
If you haven't had a chance to play our demo yet, it's still available on Medic's Steam! [link at the bottom]
Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think. We appreciate every feedback and every comment we get from all of you. Whatever you say about the game - we take it into account when designing the next levels, missions and characters. You are a great source of inspiration for us.
Thanks for the support we have received from you so far, and we hope you will enjoy the full release of the game - Medic: Pacific War
in the meantime, we have for you another sample of what the new maps look like in the game...
Thank you everyone who played Joyspring during our launch! The dev team was hard at work going through your feedback and implementing fixes and changes.
Our most important addition is controller support, but due to our small dev team size, we only had remote access to an xbox one controller and a ps4 dualshock controller. Please keep in mind that because of this, controller support is an experimental feature. We recommend using wired over wireless for improved stability and compatibility. If your controller is still not working, try changing the "Override for Joyspring" setting in Properties > Controller to "Disable Steam Input."
Here's a complete list of what we did:
Added experimental controller support
Fixed infinite slide sound effect bug
Made moving platform dots more obvious and made them show up in background layer
Added blobs in level 25 to prevent crushing
Made level 44 more fair
Fixed zoom in level 12
Made cutscenes skippable with any key or button press
Other small bug fixes and performance improvements
