The people have spoken!

Team Night overwhelmingly won with nearly twice as many unique entries as Team Morning. Last month, we promised this event would determine the people’s definitive choice for the superior position of the sun. Now that the results are in, what do they mean? What are the implications of #TeamNight’s victory? Who invented liquid soap and why??

All good questions...that will remain unanswered. We’re leaving it open to your own interpretation!

In the meantime, everyone who participated in the contest is automatically a winner! Y’all should have a bundle for 5 Qbits and 5 Villagers in your inventory.

We promised TEN of you would win a bonus prize for submitting our favorite screenshots. In a twist that will surprise no one, we decided to expand our bonus prizes to FIFTEEN recipients. There were just too many good ones to resist!

Without further ado, congrats to the winners…

Congratulations to the winners, who now have the rare and elusive Trophy Gauntlets (including Gold, Silver, and Bronze) and—before the end of the day—will have 300 extra coins. Look to see their shots in a loading screen near you. And thanks to everyone who participated! As usual this was a lot of fun!

(If you have any issues or didn't see the prizes show up, email support@playfulstudios.com and Entuland will look into it).

Full disclosure: I participated and voted for #TeamNight. Even if you remove my entry, Team Night still wins by a mile.

Krita - EmmetPDX
Hey again Krita community,

Today I'm happy to let you all know that we've put out the very first beta version for Krita 5!

It's so totally packed to the brim with new features, changes, bug fixes and other improvements that I kind of don't know where to start... Just about every part of Krita (from brushes and gradients, to animation and assistants, to the user interface and the resource system) has seen refinements, big and small, and we wanted to get it into artists' hands as soon as possible.

If you're interested, you can jump right into testing Krita 5.0 Beta 1 through Steam: just right click on Krita in your Steam Library, click on "Properties", switch to the "Betas" tab, and then select the "beta" branch from the drop down menu.

First, there are a few important points we want to warn you about:

  • Krita 5 has a completely new resource system. Krita no longer loads all brushes, patterns, gradients and so on start-up, but caches the information during the first run. Krita 5 will be slower starting on the first run, quicker on subsequent runs.
  • The way Krita 5 keeps a version history for resources that are edited by the user is not compatible with Krita 4. After using Krita 5, going back to Krita 4 might cause Krita 4 to show duplicate resources.
  • Krita 5 can no longer load vector layers created in Krita 3 and older.
  • Krita files (.kra) and krita brush preset files (.kpp) created with Krita 5.0 are not guaranteed to be compatible with Krita 4!
  • Krita 5.0 fixed an issue with text size in documents. However, opening files created with earlier versions of Krita may require changing a setting to get the originally expected text size.
  • Known issue with this beta: If you run a G’Mic filter, Krita’s settings are temporary reset to default: the settings will be the customized ones again after restarting Krita.

As always you can get an idea about what's changed by reading the full release notes for Krita 5.0 right here. It's got tons of great pictures

Anyway... Give the first beta a try, let us know what you think, and please report any bugs that you come across so together we can make sure Krita 5.0 is one of the best updates yet!

Thanks again,
Emmet
Veg Out Crew - KiMPo
Heya all,

Thought I'd share there's still heaps happening and getting done on Veg out Crew. We're currently finishing off some new weapons in the game, The chopping board and the pizza cutter.

Might still be some work to finish these off as we're also working on a new stage, Lava stage! So a heap more content, different elements, traps, enemies and a new boss too!

This one should be a heap of fun too and bring some new challenges. Just don't fall into the lava when you get to play it out!

Anyway, here's some cool images of the weapon animations in action!

Happy Veg out Crew!

Developer Bulletin for Update 0.10.8
IMPORTANT! Because the update is still being tested, the information in this bulletin is tentative and reflects the state of game development at the time of its publication. Some changes and new features may be removed entirely or implemented differently by the time the update goes live. Screenshots, specific values of certain characteristics, and details of in-game mechanics will not necessarily be relevant after the update is released.

Please note: The rewards for activities on the Public Test server may differ from those on the Live Server.

World of Warships Anniversary
In Update 0.10.8, World of Warships is celebrating its sixth anniversary! In honor of this event, we've prepared various activities for our players.

The "6 Years of World of Warships" Collection
[expand style=more] [/expand]
The main treat for the anniversary is the "6 Years of World of Warships" collection dedicated to the most notable events that happened in the game over the past year. The collection looks like a big puzzle with 60 elements in it. You can obtain them only from "6 years of World of Warships" special containers. The containers are available:
  • In the Armory, in exchange for a new temporary resource—Festive Tokens.
  • For completing a special combat mission chain.
  • In the new temporary Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry event.

The reward for completing the collection will be a Supercontainer, 6x Gift containers, and the "6 Years of World of Warships" festive flag. The exchange rate for duplicates is 1:1.

Apart from the "6 Years of World of Warships" containers, Festive Tokens can be exchanged in the Armory for themed "6 Years of World of Warships" permanent camouflages for VII Lyon, VII Yorck, VII Shchors, VII Gadjah Mada, VII Akatsuki, and VII Zara; Gift and Distant Voyages containers; and World of Warships Anniversary expendable camouflages.

In one of the future updates, the "6 Years of World of Warships" containers will be added to the Armory and be available in exchange for Coal.

Festive Rewards
In Update 0.10.8, you can earn the familiar Snowflakes—festive bonuses for combat results of all your Tier V ships and higher. Depending on ship tier and type, you can obtain Supercontainers, Gift containers, and Festive Tokens.

[expand style=more] [/expand]
The bonus for combat results is the only way to earn Festive Tokens.

With the release of Update 0.10.10, Festive Tokens will be converted into Credits at the rate of 1:90,000.

The Designer's Table Port was considerably updated in honor of the celebration.

[expand style=more] [/expand]
Dutch Cruisers
When Update 0.10.8 goes live, Dutch Tier I–X cruisers will become available for all players to research.

[expand style=more] [/expand]
Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry
The update brings a new temporary event called Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry. It is based on the history of the naval aviation development and various experimental design bureaus that worked on new machines for the Navy.

Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry is similar to the Battle of the Beasts event that took place in Update 0.10.4 with the following changes:

The main changes compared to the Battle of the Beasts
  • Three teams instead of four.
  • Unique rewards—team patches—will be awarded for personal progress and not for team progress. This way, players will be able to obtain unique rewards even if their team doesn't reach the necessary progress point.
  • Updated interface of team selection window, as well as the personal and team progress window.
  • Your personal progress until the next reward is now displayed in the Port instead of your team's progress.

Rules of the Event
  • The event will run until the release of Update 0.10.9 and is divided into four stages. Each stage lasts one week.
  • Once per week, you can select one of the three teams: Polikarpov Bureau, Chetverikov Bureau, or Kocherigin Bureau.
  • During the event, you need to complete your personal missions issued daily to all participants. They can be completed during the day in Random, Co-op, and Ranked Battles, as well as in the new temporary battle type—Convoy.
  • Completing missions will advance you through personal and team progress bars and unlock rewards.
  • Rewards: 6 Years of World of Warships containers, themed patches, Victory camouflages, Coal, and Soviet Tokens.
[expand style=more] [/expand]
Soviet Aircraft Carriers
Update 0.10.8 brings Early Access to Soviet aircraft carriers IV Komsomolets, VI Serov, and VIII Pobeda.

[expand style=more] [/expand]
Features of the Branch
  • Squadrons consist of one flight, which carries out one powerful attack with all aircraft at once.
  • Small number of aircraft in squadrons.
  • Starting from Tier VIII, aircraft are equipped rocket boosters. As with VI Ise and VIII Tone, the boosters kick in automatically during take-off and provide a short-time increase in speed.
  • Small HP pool and low cruising speed of all aircraft.
  • All aircraft carriers are equipped with skip bombers armed with HE bombs instead of standard bombers.
  • Torpedo bombers' torpedoes have long range and arming distance.
  • Starting with Tier VI, attack aircraft squadrons are armed with HE rockets similar to the American Tiny Tim.
Soviet Tokens
A new temporary resource which can be obtained:
  • By participating in the Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry event
  • From free daily bundles
  • From random bundles available for Doubloons
  • For Community Tokens in the Armory
Rewards for Soviet Tokens
Sequentially available bundles with IV Komsomolets, VI Serov, and VIII Pobeda, as well as the Forward Bound permanent camouflage for Tier IV, VI, and VIII Soviet aircraft carriers, and other rewards.

The Tokens that you earn by participating in the Aircraft Bureaus Rivalry and opening free daily bundles will be enough to obtain IV Komsomolets, VI Serov, and permanent camouflages for Tier IV, VI, and VIII aircraft carriers.

The random bundles available for Doubloons can drop the Forward Bound permanent camouflage for X Admiral Nakhimov, Soviet Tokens, Victory expendable camouflages, and other rewards.

With the release of Update 0.10.10, Soviet Tokens will be converted into Credits at the rate of 1:6,000.

Convoy
Start: Thu. 23 Sep. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)
End: Thu. 07 Oct. 07:00 CEST (UTC+2)

In Update 0.10.8, players will have an opportunity to play in a new temporary battle type—Convoy—based on escorting transport ships. In real life, a large part of confrontation between navies consisted of defending or destroying cargo lanes because they played a crucial role during wars.

Rules
  • The defending team needs to escort a convoy of four bot ships that sail along a defined route. The team wins if at least one of the convoy ships reaches the destination point or the entire enemy team is destroyed.
  • The mission of the attacking team is to completely destroy either the convoy or its defenders.
  • Players are distributed among teams randomly.
  • On average, the Convoy needs between 10 and 12 minutes to complete their route.
  • Format: 7 vs. 7 playing Tier VIII ships. Restrictions: No more than one aircraft carrier and three battleships per team.
  • Battles will be held on maps such as The Atlantic, Islands of Ice, Land of Fire, Warrior's Path, Loop, Haven, Northern Waters, and Labyrinth.
[expand style=more] [/expand]
While the Convoy is available, you can complete special combat missions only for this battle type, which will bring you Community Tokens. Detailed requirements of these combat missions can be found in the game client.
