As you read this, Falsemen2: Upstream has moved from early access to official release.

Thank you very much for your love and support. In the four and a half years from early February 2017 to the end of July 2021, I have finally finished the game I wanted to make, and all kinds of optimization and content filling for the game have been completed.

After four and a half years of production, I was happy that I was finally able to make the niche product THAT I wanted to make, regardless of the market. But at the same time I was too tired, too tired to do any publicity for the finished game, even though it was my job as a producer to do it.

If I had to say a word to describe my current state, it would be "lying flat".

I had done what I wanted to do, and I didn't really care how many sales the game made, I liked it, you liked it, you liked it.

I am a novel writer, a speaker, a b-station master, an outsourcing programmer, an amateur designer, a daily cook, a food blogger who wants to eat all over the world...

On top of that, I'm a game producer.

While I've spent a lot of time with you as a game producer, making games has always been just one of my hobbies.

I'm a hobby driven bad guy. I only do what I love to do -- it's like I don't like to work, so I've never worked a single day since I graduated from college and I've been freelancing ever since.

I mean, there's a lot of things I like to do.

In the future, I will do every one of them.



With Falsemen2: Upstream finished, what's next?

I think my fans who follow me have already guessed that, yes, it's TokyoStranger.

I've never made a horror game, but I do want to -- it's also an interest-driven thing, I want to make something I've never done before.

Because I'm afraid of both ghosts and the dark, and I haven't seen more than 10 horror movies, making TokyoStranger was an exciting challenge for me.

I'm looking forward to the final product, and hopefully this time I can make a game that I like as well.



On top of that, I hope I can reach 200,000 fans this year and make lasting Nightware videos, whether it's the slightly better PlayerSleuth or the more recent attempt with Nightware Speak.

Keep loving, keep confident, keep fighting, and time will do the rest.

This update to Falsemen2: Upstream includes:

1. A new branch story, An Ordinary Day of The Imperial Security Guard, will be added to the uptown of Wanghai City. It will be presented to hardcore fans who have found nearly 100 bugs in the closed beta versions of Upstream in the first two years of development;



2. Added a secondary storyline, Theoretical Knowledge Across History, to the Cliff Library of King Andrexius, for hardcore fans mooncakes and Arabidopsis_W who have found hundreds of bugs in Upstream's Beta over the past year and a half;



3. Modify the click logic of the character selection interface. The player can select the corresponding character when the mouse hover over the corresponding character, and the second confirmation will be entered after clicking.



4. Modify the return logic of difficulty selection interface and character selection interface. You can return to the upper interface in these two interfaces.



5. Changed the text presentation logic in the temporary shelter system. Text in the temporary shelter is now automatically displayed.



6. Proofread and corrected 15 text errors and omissions.

Detailed Patch Notes



  • Added a global chat system that shows players names, and skin
  • Made significant improvements to spectating
  • Players can now chat while spectating
  • Fixed a bug that made OG mode not accessible if you are using a custom name
  • Fixed an issue that caused some hats to cover up the online menu
  • Fixed an issue with the gas can texts
  • Added an option that let's Players choose their region. We left US east as the default, but this will enable players outside of this region to have better server connection when playing with players from the same region.

  • Daddies no longer drop items when tripping (Only when knocked out)
  • Fire extinguisher can now be used for up to 12 seconds. Be sure to use quick short bursts!
  • Energy Recharge rate is now based on health instead of sickness. Healthy players recharge energy much faster now.
  • Made furniture harder to break
  • Vacuum can suck babies around again

  • Character's once again look towards the camera direction
  • Fixed a bug that caused players to teleport to the living room when ragdolling on certain vehicles
  • Sugar rush is much less likely to launch players high in the area (Especially after consuming a lot of sugar)
  • Fixed a bug that caused players to be unable to detect items after throwing them
  • Fixed a bug that caused players to hit themselves when throwing an item sometimes
  • Players can no longer jump if they can't stand
  • Fixed a bug that caused you to freeze while ragdolled next to the fridge
  • Added a speed limit to the lawn mower
  • Fixed a bug that caused missing text for some users, especially those using a non-english keyboard (Special thanks to Cagkan2021 for helping us fix this!)
  • Toaster now explodes as intended
  • Ketchup and bean residue now make the player ragdoll as intended
  • Fixed some issues that caused babies to remain on fire after exiting the pool
  • Fixed a bug that caused the pool noodle to make players fly around
  • Passenger seat now works for the Baby Car
  • Items once again collide with the outdoor terrain
  • Fixed some issues with the daddy's sickness animation
  • Fixed controller bug for split-screen players. Reconnecting will assign to the player without controller
  • Dishwasher shoots out player as before
  • Fixed a bug that made choosing infinite baby wins end the game immediately

Hello survivors!

Without many words. This is the largest update released for Crushed to date.
A lot of work has been done. Many lines of Legacy code have been rewritten, new graphical improvements have been introduced, and many systems on which Crushed worked previously have been rewritten. We are looking forward to your feedback!

Attention! Your saves from previous versions are still available, but will not work correctly. We recommend starting a new game for version 0.0.5!

Update Alpha 0.0.5:
  • The technical part of the inventory has been completely updated. This will allow us to implement various features that we have planned for the future. And it also helped to fix minor bugs now, but more on that in the changelog.
  • The technical part of changing the time of day has been completely updated. It has become more flexible, we have added the moon, and now the change of day is synchronized in multiplayer.
  • We are now using the Reflection Probe's. This added more realism to the picture without sacrificing performance.
  • We changed the standard Unity tools that were responsible for drawing fog and grass on the terrain. Now the grass has increased the range of drawing, reacts to the wind and also casts shadows.
  • The visual design of the character's characteristics has been updated. This is just a small part of the HUD that we managed to update. Further improvements will be related to Quality of Life, such as the display of picked up items.
  • Added the ability to change the hotkey bindings in the settings. This is the innovation that we have taken as a top priority, thanks to your feedback. Therefore, we ask you to leave your wishes as often as possible.
  • Added in-game chat. Now you don't have to communicate with your friends using voice chat programs. You can also make new acquaintances right inside the game.
  • The character controller has also undergone major overhauls. The movement has become smoother, and there will now be much less getting stuck, or moments where you cannot jump onto the foundation of your house.
  • Added console. This is the very beginning in creating some kind of customization of the gaming session. In the future, we plan to add several game modes, among which there is «Creative mode». Here you can see the list of available commands.
  • We've updated the game map. Again. Now, for these purposes, we use a convenient generator that allows you to create a realistic landscape, easily modify it and automate many routine processes in the work of a level designer.
  • Added augmented extended statuses. Now in the list of friends you can see what day of survival your friend is on. Learn more about enhanced extended statuses.

  • Fixed the synchronization of damage dealt to the bear in multiplayer.
  • Fixed a bug with the disappearance of a killed bear for other players, except for the host.
  • Fixed propagation distance of bear sounds.
  • Fixed a bear getting stuck in place when starting a patrol.
  • Fixed the play of the bear attack animation, now it plays to the end.
  • Fixed being able to shoot with the Flare Gun. if the pause menu is open.
  • Fixed blurring of the thumbnail screenshot of the game in the save menu when saving the game.
  • Fixed a problem with loading the contents of crates when loading a save for all players except the host.

  1. AI has been added in PvE mode. Now as a 4 person team you can be afraid of your heart's content against AI. Also, AI comes with 6 difficulty levels. Up to normal you can create a lobby freely. After that, you must finish the normal level to access HARD difficulty and so on for each difficulty level.
  2. The timer has been added to PvP mode as well. If you stay too long in a location, the entity can find you.
  3. Several bug and performance fixes
