Death’s Door is a dark & quirky action-adventure about a Crow who reaps the souls of the dead, in a world where nothing naturally dies. We’re very excited for our little bird to finally leave the nest!

We have poured our souls into this game world and story over the past few years, and it’s been incredible to see the reception so far! We hope people continue to enjoy the game as much as we’ve enjoyed making it!

Battle Planet - Judgement Day - Squall413
This patch features an exciting update to our game: Battle Planet - Judgement Day is now officially Tilt Five enabled! This means, if you have a Tilt Five, you get to experience our game as a hologram. We are super happy with the result and the way it looks on the Game Board. To celebrate the occasion, we also made a bunch of visual improvements, addressed some outstanding bugs and added suggested features, such as a warning screen for when you leave a planet with remaining XP on it.

Tilt Five Support!

  • The game is fully Tilt Five enabled! Connect your Tilt Five glasses and get to experience Battle Planet - Judgement Day as a hologram at home!
  • Controller Support
    • The game is playable with the Tilt Five Wand Controller, supporting horizontal orientation
    • Additionally, your regular gamepads or keyboard & mouse should work just fine too
  • Detection Backend
    • We want to make using the Tilt Five as easy as possible for you! When you connect your glasses in the main menu, the game will ask you whether to use them or not
    • You can enable/disable using the glasses at all times via the options menu
    • Switching between Tilt Five & Default Mode is possible in-between planets - you do not have to quit the game or restart your run!
  • Unfortunately co-op mode is not supported in Tilt Five due to the need of a second pair of glasses and a second PC.

  • We tweaked the balancings of various weapons & items to make them more powerful & engaging throughout the gameplay
    • Weapons: Boomerang, Electro Shocker, Gatling Gun, Rocket Launcher, Shotgun

    • This affects their base values as well as their upgrades
Visual Improvements

  • You can choose to skip already seen boss introductions now
  • Leaving a planet with XP left triggers a dialogue prompt to ensure no XP are left behind unwillingly
Bug Fixes
  • Medkits no longer drop in unfortunate, unreachable positions
  • XP are always consumed correctly now
  • When playing co-op, you could see the hurt fx of the other player overlap on your screen. This is now fixed.
  • Sometimes the pause menu auto-closed when using the ESC key, this is now fixed
  • Shotgun weapon now also gets its introduction once seen
  • The hub sometimes spawned the same item twice, when you unlocked a new one. This is now fixed!

Release an update on Friday and than spend a weekend releasing hotfixes. That is just my dream job! :) Let's see what we got here:

Added/changed:
  • New building: tavern
  • Citizens will now occasionally buy alcohol from the market or visit a tavern
  • CPUs with more than 8 threads will use more of their processing power
  • Churches will now have priests
  • Added a context menu for vehicles
  • Added help text for windmill
  • Added help text for charcoal pile
  • Once again optimized pathfinding
  • Can now copy a resource list from one granary to another
  • Added more help text for village house
  • Added a notification if there's no workers to take care of animals
  • Clay pits are now being dug up by builders, not constructed instantly
  • Clay pits are now demolishable
  • Added scrolling in help window (those text don't get any shorter)
  • Added a bit more visible logs in the forestry storage
  • New families arrive with a bit randomized wealth now
  • Can now import alcohol
  • Having a tavern in the town is now required to grow population over 400
  • Slightly increased apiary probability

Fixed:
  • Some of the fulling mills had wrong occupied space footprint
  • Workers were hired while resting
  • Buildings around clay pit could create glitches in the pit
  • Crash related to moving resources by carts (for real this time)
  • Sheep from different farms could be sent to the same field (and several issues stemming from it)
  • Potentially fixed the "citizen stuck" issue (need confirmation)

Also one thing I always forget to mention is that you can now express your love and support for Ostriv in a new way: by purchasing the original soundtrack! Just leaving you here with this thought. Have a nice weekend!

Hey everyone,
Hope you're all vibing. This update features achievements and some new content.

Big Changes
  • I've added 40-50 achievements to Muck.
  • 4 new original music tracks by Context Sensitive (Evan King)
  • Trader Camps
  • Now available for mac and linux, however I don't have the time or capacity as a solo dev to properly test and develop this, so there might be issues.
Trader Camps
  • Trader Camps now spawn randomly around the map
  • Woodmen run around in camps
  • Some Woodmen have items to trade with you (buy / sell)
New Enemies
  • Chief (Boss)
  • Woodman (Traders)
Gameplay
  • Mobs (hopefully) don't phase through trees and minerals anymore
  • Can free cam spectate now by pressing any of the movement keys while spectating
  • End screen now shows stats for all players
New Items
  • Chiefs Spear (Rare)

  • Obamium Sword

Balancing
  • Mobs deal more damage to resources (not buildings)

From the gorgeous architecture of Hao Jing, to the beautiful rivers and bridges that enhance the landscape, there was plenty of beauty to go around to celebrate the new region in Season VIII: Dynasty.

Hello and welcome to another weekly.

Finished caves
Our level designer has finished the caves, but be worry there are many spots where enemies can hide. Loot also will be hidden from the eyes of the survivors. There may be hidden doors in the cave ;)






Sound optimization
In one of the weeklies, we've stated that now we are using the FMOD sound engine, and the work continues. We've added many reverb zones, so now shooting inside sounds different from shooting outside, the rain will sound different from the inside, etc. Also in some areas, you will not be able to hear surroundings, for example standing under the waterfall. Also, our sound designer is working on the state music, which will change depending on the situation.
