Fall Guys

The fifth season of Fall Guys has a jungle theme, with Indiana Jones and Spelunky elements.

A suspiciously-familiar adventurer with a whip and an officially-licensed Spelunky costume both feature in the battle royale's new battle pass.

This season also sees the introduction of duos and trios matches, as well as Limited Time Events with challenges and unique rewards.

EA is continuing to manage expectations for this year's EA Play Live, confirming that the next Skate game will not be making an appearance during the show.

As explained in a tweet from the official Skate account, new studio Full Circle was only formed back in January, and as such the team is not quite ready to show the game. "It's still early and we are committed to doing this thing right which means it's gonna take some time," the statement said.

It's not all doom and gloom, however: the statement said the team is "stoked to share a little something with you all tomorrow", so it seems we'll be getting some form of Skate news this week after all. Perhaps we'll finally get a name, or even a teeny tiny teaser.

GTA developer Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, is issuing takedown notices for GTA map mods.

"Just to make sure as many people here know as possible, Take-Two have been going heavy with the DMCAs this week, first starting with GTAV map mods like GTA3 Portland, Vice City Overhaul, etc," writes Ash_735 on the official GTA Forums (thanks, PC Gamer).

As Ash puts it, an agreement to help the publisher and the modding community peacefully coexist was struck a little while back when Take-Two "tried to make modding GTA games illegal".

Microsoft Flight Simulator will reportedly take up almost 100GB on Xbox consoles.

The news came via Twitter user Idle Sloth, who showed that if you select "Manage with Game Pass" on the the game's Xbox Store page, it'll give you the full install size: 97.2GB.

As our pals at Pure Xbox report, that's just the standard edition, too, so depending upon what flavour current-gen Xbox you're running - the X or S - and what edition you'd like to play, it may take up even more than that.

Developer Digital Extremes made the announcement during this weekend's TennoCon 2021, which also showed off the shooter running on mobile devices, too.

While a concrete release date has yet to be confirmed, it does mean the Warframe faithful will be able to team up with pals playing on other consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One before the end of the calendar year.

Scalpers have taken to eBay with their Steam Deck reservations, marking up the PC handheld despite Valve's anti-scalping efforts.

There are multiple listings of the Steam Deck on eBay, all charging more than Valve's asking price. Some listings have the hardware up for sale for over £1000.

Valve made the Steam Deck available to reserve last night with some smart restrictions aimed at combating scalpers (although some of these restrictions ran into technical issues as Valve was inundated with high demand).

Call of Duty players come up with quick-fire way to unlock the new OTs 9 SMG via Black Ops Cold War without paying.

Activision has vowed not to make Call of Duty pay-to-win and so, when it adds new weapons into the likes of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, you're able to unlock them through gameplay challenges.

It's as simple as that, except it's not always simple to unlock these weapons. And the Black Ops Cold War challenge for the recently-released OTs 9 left some players frustrated due to its difficulty.

War Thunder

War Thunder players take their tanks seriously. But one player perhaps took things a bit too far.

The player in question, known as Pyrophoric, took to the War Thunder forum on Wednesday night to post an image from a Challenger 2 battle tank Army Equipment Support Publication (AESP) - like a user manual - to try to convince developer Gaijin Entertainment the in-game version isn't authentic to the real-life version.

According to a post by the UK Defence Journal, the image had its "UK Restricted" label crossed out, with an "UNCLASSIFIED" stamp added. Various parts were reportedly fully blacked out.
