We're just doing a few bugfixes and moving some levels around based on feedback. Thank you so much to everyone that gave us feedback and bug reports so far! It really, really helps :)
You have actively posted your game suggestions for Avorion in our forum and voted for them. At this point, first of all, thank you from the whole team, it makes us very happy to see how much passion you all bring in! So here's a summary of the suggestions that made it into Update 2.0:
*Right click on the Screenshot - Open in new tab*
Directly implemented suggestions:
Build mode: set root block manually
Free camera in build mode
Optionally selectable: show faction colors instead of relationships on the galaxy map
Ships calling for help die too fast
“Captain, do this. Even if I am there” / command your own ship - activate autopilot
Improvements to Legendary turrets
Pirate Carriers
Improve the storage proportioning of the factories
Indirectly Implemented Suggestions:
Fighter speed (Has been improved in the Fighter Rework)
Easy applying of a fighter skin to a squad (Has been improved in the Fighter Rework)
Easier configuration of factory to factory trade (e.g. cargo shuttles, supply command)
Easier supply of torpedoes (torpedo loot drops)
Difficulty options update (scenario: free play)
“We really need a better repair system” (Towing service)
Bulletin board improvements (Has been improved with the sector overview)
Unfortunately we can't take over all your ideas, since sometimes they do not match with our vision of Avorion. Nevertheless, we have added tons of smaller improvements, which would go beyond the limits of this post. We have implemented for example a workshop filter to select materials according to already learned material knowledge and improved the unbranding of stolen goods. In addition, the trading subsystems have been buffed so that low rarities are now more effective. It is definitely worthwhile to visit the forum from time to time, to suggest and vote, maybe next time your personal favorite will be on the list!

Hello everyone! It's been a few months, and we've been hard at work on this major update.
Most importantly, this update adds mid-level checkpoints! A circular indicator will be shown in the bottom right of the screen whenever a checkpoint is reached. Most levels will have 2 to 4 checkpoints during transitions between key interactions. We'll be working to add more in a future update.
While we've worked hard to test these checkpoints, there may be unexpected issues that we're unaware of. If you encounter anything strange, send an email to http://mailto:support@genesisnoirgame.com. Also, you can revert to the previous non-checkpoint version of the game using the Previous branch in the Beta section if desired. This will not break your save data.
Additionally, we'd like to thank everyone on the Mac team at Epic Games for working with us to solve a big issue related to mouse movement, where no movement would be detected if the cursor is moved along the edge of the screen / game window. This fixes various issues on Mac where several interactions would behave strangely due to this bug.
While adding checkpoints, we've also fixed a large number of additional issues. Here's a full list of everything we've done:
Singular: Bypass a strange engine bug that occasionally causes the mini character interactions to not return to the clock scene.
Singular: Ensure that held keys/buttons are cleared after the bench cutscene. This fixes any issues related to not being able to interact with the scene.
Singular: Ensure that held keys/buttons are cleared after each timeline. This fixes any issues related to not being able to exit a timeline.
Singular: The B button on gamepad can now be used to exit timeline scenes.
Hunt: Fix for character getting stuck in the cave near a mushroom, due to a tiny missing bit of navpainting.
Collision: Increased gamepad deadzone for activating knobs in the lab interaction. This fixes an issue where releasing the analog stick could move the knobs when not desired.
Improvisations: Restore cursor position to somewhere sensible after dragging a train. This prevents the cursor from getting lost at the edge of the screen.
Thaw: Prevent the player from standing on the firewood or bucket objects, which can cause the pick-up animation to never complete.
Seeding: Fix for character falling thru the world if the inventory hand opens while the character is in mid-air.
Seeding: Removed potential divide-by-zero in plant-spawning code.
Gather: Fix for the cursor getting set to an invalid asset if the level is exited via the pause menu during the lotus flower interaction.
Gather: Prevent unintended things from happening if the level is exited via the pause menu during the ash-clearing interaction.
Reflections: Prevent unintended things from happening if the level is exited via the pause menu during the reproduction interaction.
Singularity: Prevent unintended things from happening if the level is exited via the pause menu during the smoke-clearing interaction.
Switch: Restore default rendering settings when returning to the start menu via the pause menu.
Options: Fix for material quality not being applied correctly due to confusing parameters in the engine.
Mac: Fix for cursor movement not registering if the cursor is moved along the edge of the screen, which made a lot of interactions very difficult to complete.
Thanks again for all your support, and stay tuned for more updates!
Once again, our beloved Smurf friends have to find a way to elude Gargamel’s evil plans!
In his dark laboratory, the evil wizard Gargamel has discovered a formula allowing him to create a wicked plant, called Vileaf. This plant produces “Viletrap” seeds, which can attract Smurfs and imprison them in vegetal traps! But these Viletrap plants are also a great danger for the forest, as they are highly toxic, especially for the sarsaparilla fields!
For this very important mission, players will take control of an ace Smurf team featuring Hefty, Smurfette, Brainy and Chef! Our heroes can rely upon a very handy tool, the Smurfizer, a revolutionary invention from Handy Smurf. The Smurfizer allows the Smurfs to get rid of the foes they encounter, heal the plants afflicted by the Vileaf, as well as jump higher, glide through the air or dive.

Half a year of development. A month of testing and improvements. Complete rework of the game based on feedback. And now, horror Underwater ready.
The new horror game Underwater will remind you of what real horror stories should look like without giving the player the right to make mistakes. Go, in the person of an unknown prisoner, to an underwater prison, where dangerous mutants roam...
Effective July 30th 2021, Bug Attack! on Steam will be changing price to a super affordable cost of free! This is not a F2P model, nothing about the game is changing, no microtransactions, no pay to win, no loot boxes, nothing of the sort.
There will be a DLC available called the "Support the Dev Pack". It is completely optional, and simply contains a file with some neat info about the game and a heartfelt thank you.
This choice was pretty simple. The game was never profitable to begin with, so I'd just like for as many people to enjoy it as possible, while still possibly being able to earn a few bucks for the work.
