The Steam Summer Sale might be over but things are reaching boiling point in Rude Racers with the tenth instalment of the LiveWire series- Rolling Thunder!
Burning rubber and spilling oil isn't something we advise you do with the ongoing climate crisis but our hothead oil truck needn't care as it rolls out explosive barrels into your path to crash the the party! Race down the searing desert highway on your custom Deadbone bike and be the first to reach the finish line as you dodge the barrels and evade the attacks from your mallet-wielding lunatic colleagues!
With the competition now live all the way through September 09, 2021, there's plenty of time to set a time that will get you on to the podium-- run a clean race by using your Oil Spill kits or take the more professional approach by beating your rivals to the pulp and be the last one standing.
As always, BIG rewards are up for grabs for the top three participants in the form of Steam Gift Cards for a total amount of $15!
Please see the full terms and conditions for the LiveWire events here
Have a look at the following traditions coming with Royal Court: Communal, Courtly, Egalitarian, and Stoic! These add up to the past three we have shared last week: Bellicose, Inventive, and Spiritual. ► Read Summer Teaser #2
Please read the pdf document attached on the Shop page. Also, study the in-game help, it has tons of information about the game. If you are stuck, either me or other players will help you. Feel free to ask any question. You can find a very spoilerish description about the first third of the game here (read it only if you are hopelessly stuck) https://indiecore.club/TorturedHearts_ENG.htm
------ If you're a new player, here are 2 very important things you should keep in mind:
-In order to invoke a tooltip, you'll have to keep left shift pressed while the cursor is over the target. Items, buttons and even buff/debuff icons at the top of the screen have a tooltip.
-Keeping Space pressed highlights interactives around you. Items, placeables, friendly or neutral creatures will have a blue marker, enemies will have a red one.
------
The game is non-linear to the extreme. This means, there is no set path for your character. Basically you can go wherever you want (with a few so-called choke points). This, of course, has its downsides because you can stumble upon enemies or skill checks too difficult for your current character. Don't fret though, the game offers plenty of other things to do (combatless questing, exploration, crafting, finding lore, fun conversations) until you become more capable. It's always a good idea to stock up on good equipment and potions before engaging enemies. Companions are super helpful on many levels.

Another month, another free content update. This one is all about SKELETON PIRATES. Here's what we prepared for you:
New Location: Undead Pirate Shipwreck. This is a variant of the Shipwreck where you can encounter Undead Pirates and recruit them, or do some trading.
New Recruit: Undead Pirate. Has the ability to fight when at zero health and an Ambush attack, making it perfect for combat-focused playstyles.
New Enemy: Undead Pirates. Undead skeletons that fight in groups, they can return from the dead if not killed fast enough.
New Wandering Trader type: Undead Pirate Gang. Trade for valuable goods, or engage in a friendly challenge. How intriguing!
New Weapons: Black Powder Pistol (powerful, but beware of self-stuns) and Cutlass (does extra damage when equipped by Sailor or Pirate).
This week's Club Competition reward is also fitting the update's theme: a Pirate Bandana! It's the kind of fashion item that never goes out of style.
Additionally, the update includes a number of changes and fixes — you can find the full change notes on our wiki (English only).
On the technical side, we want to higlight in particular that savegame backups are now stored in a different folder to avoid potential data loss caused by Steam Cloud (since some of you reported problems where your progress got lost). You can now find ".bak" files in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Maschinen-Mensch\Curious Expedition 2\backups (where <username> is your Windows user name)
