Republic-revering capsuleers,

After the heady celebrations of Federation Day, all eyes in the cluster are now on the Minmatar Republic as they commemorate Liberation Day.

The Minmatar now seek contributions of capsuleer propaganda that venerate the tribes or the Republic as a whole! To be in the running to win some cool prizes, you must submit a piece of propaganda for review. Some of the topics it could address are:
  • celebrate the rich history of the Minmatar people
  • denigrate the the enemies of the Republic - i.e. the Amarr, Caldari, Angel Cartel or Triglavians
  • highlight a famous location in Minmatar space
  • recognize a notable Minmatar citizen and their accomplishments (this includes both player and non-player characters)
Or something else not listed here - as long as it's bigging up the Minmatar we want to see it! You can find some examples of the excellent work produced by capsuleers for the previous contest in this thread on the official forums.

Valid propaganda could take many different forms: memes, vintage propaganda posters, videos, songs, poetry, short stories - whatever you like as long as it bigs up the Minmatar Republic.

PRIZES

Submissions will be pored over by a crack team of CCP developers with impeccable taste and the chosen winners will receive the following:

  • Your choice of any Minmatar ship model (Rifter, Tornado or Typhoon) offered by our friends at Mixed Dimensions
  • A set of brand new apparel: the Republic Commander's Dress Jacket and Pants (men's and women's)

HOW TO ENTER

Please note that there has been a minor change in the entry process from the previous contest in order to streamline the submission, collation and judging of the entries.
  • In order for your work to be considered it must be submitted in this thread on the EVE Online forums.
  • The contest starts now and the cutoff for submissions is Thursday, 22 July at 11:00 UTC. Winners will be notified soon after!
  • All entries must abide by the EVE Online Terms of Service
  • Although no longer required for entry, please do continue to share your propaganda on EVE-related social media, such as Twitter with the #tweetfleet hashtag.

In today's Dev Diary, we invite you to watch a short gameplay footage of the Alpha version + a presentation of some of the cars that will be in the full version.



Also, a list of updates to the Alpha version:
- Fixed Crash in engine dissasembly tree ( while clicking dissasembly on engine head / block )
- Emilio`s car update. More realistic driving, better drifting. ( 1.07 )
- Working StairWhell Detection ( Checked on G29 )
- Graphic Settings Menu ( Basic Configuration, Still work in progress )-
- New Emilo Animations
- Fixed Gearbox stuck bug
- Added steering wheel detection component
- Nitro changed to more arcade ( in tests ).


And also fixing a lot of bugs.

We are currently working on new cars and parts stores.

We are also talking to publishers, so expect some cool surprises soon :)
HORROR TALES: The Wine - Carlos [HORROR TALES solo dev]
The HORROR TALES Saga games (including of course The Wine) have a very robust video settings menu. Tweaking these a bit can get the game running on really, reeeeally old computers or you can crank the settings up to enjoy your super 120fps 4k screens and teraflops of unicorn urine magic! The game is very, VERY optimized. The Nintendo Switch is the lowest spec platform where the game gets released, and there all settings are set to high except for shadows and effects. Those are set to medium.

Anyways, here you can see the video settings menu and some in-game examples of what you can do with it!

Craftopia - hawkward
We'll announce the "Seamless Map Update" that we've been working on for a while!
The game has had a pseudo open field that you need to unlock and move to a new island and island. But we'd like to make a drastic change with this update. We want to provide you with an enormous seamless field where various biomes such as grass fields, volcanic mountains, and snowy mountains are connected together.
Today, we prepared the video footage of the field under development; please have a look!



The seamless map is just made by stitching the existing biomes together in the current state, though we'll test and reconstruct every map by the release of the seamless map!
The past version of Craftopia is planned to be available to play as the past version as well.

We're aiming to release this feature around the end of this year; however, we're still testing the performance and working on the game balance between the game systems. The release date is to be determined, and please understand that it could be postponed to 2022.
Of course, we're working on the other features announced on the roadmap, bug fixes, and improvement of the game system to reflect the feedback from the community as well!

We strongly believe that Craftopia is the most important to us, Pocketpair, Inc. This is why we're trying to implement a seamless map into the game. We've continuously challenged ourselves since the original start of Craftopia: we made a dramatic change on the network-related codes; we renewed the graphic rendering pipeline. We reckon that these are absolutely not normal things to do for the other games' development. These are the long-term investments for making Craftopia into the best game ever.

It took us a fairly long time to prepare and to make the seamless map into reality. We're very thrilled to announce it today. And we'll keep making long-term investments to develop Craftopia into the best game.

We'll continue to announce the updates on a regular basis. We sincerely hope that you all will enjoy the game Craftopia!
