Small-ish patch today but filled with some good content! As said in the last post, this week was scheduled for a more stable game along with some quality of life things that will make your life easier.
Patch notes: - Fixed a bug where you couldn't select marbles after deleting one - Improved game stability regarding crashes when deleting marbles & going to the main menu - Pressing escape now closes the bottom menu bar - Fixed a bug where scrolling inside the UI affected movespeed - Fixed some notification issue's where it wouldn't go away (once again) - Updated the ivy models to have a bit more detail - Added a small notification when changing camera move speed - Toggling UI (F1) now also affects all windows - Improved draw distance for the small round bush - Improved input detection stability, especially when the game went out of focus - Fixed a bug where you could still override marble spawner tracks when selecting multiple - Added ability to mass paint all selected objects - Added ability to continously hold LMB to paint underneath the cursor - Added a toggle + hotkey (default: i) for showing invisible painted materials - Added shadow distance options - Changed the hover for grid and snapping to be in one menu (which appears when clicking on the new button at the top bar) - Added a new 3rd world, the flat world! (As requested) - Edit tools will now also snap to grid when the snapping to grid option is turned on - Added ability to use the normal selection controls whilst painting when holding control (the normal hotkey) - Updated new world menu - Improved the new special paints introduced in 0.1.5 on certain objects, expect more improvements in the future - Tooltips will now show up faster
Thanks everyone for the support so far! All suggestions & bug reports are appreciated. Next patch will be a more special one, stay tuned!
We are huge fans of the 80s shows aesthetics. That’s why we decided to have fun and put some of the most iconic vehicles known from those shows into our game.
Sun, ocean, beautiful women and fast cars. Put on your best suit and drive into the sunset in this sports car.
Your name is not Michael but you can still drive his car. Maybe it can’t talk nor give clever comebacks but it’s still a great way to look awesome driving in the middle of the night.
Poultry Protection bug fixed, correct status effect now applied.
If a Mysterious Egg dropped for you, but you didn't turn it in -- or it broke or vanished or rolled off to some other game whatever -- another one will drop for you when you kill a boss or champion.
Eggs are no longer considered when melting down stuff at the blacksmith or auto-selling piles of loot.
If you press escape when the Feed Bird dialog is open you are no longer damned to crash.
The inventory remembers what tab was open when you last had it open. That only took seven years.
Using your Battlebird Whistle to summon a pet will display the pet's name in the log.
Fix for occasional crash when trying to seal away a bird's power.
Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG - Iron_Orca
Dear subscribers! Once again, the latest issue of the post-apocalyptic CRONUS Weekly is on your screens. Can anyone hear us?
Today we're sharing news about the voice-overs and screenshots of the new locations we've been polishing for months. You'll definitely visit them in September, and hopefully remember them for a long time.
Voice-over
Right now we are working hard on the game's voice-over and can already feel how much the atmosphere of the wasteland under the Dome has changed. Even if you have played through all the content of the fifth patch multiple times, the full game will be an absolutely new experience, we guarantee.
Abandoned Camp
Many players have already had time to explore the abandoned camp and unravel some of its secrets. But in the full release version of Encased it will appear in a completely new light, literally. We redesigned the lighting, placement of enemies, plants, secrets, stones, and even changed the landscape.
Streets of the New Committee City
The streets of the city of New Committee are surprisingly cozy. But is it also nice and safe here at night? If you’re brave enough, check it out for yourself!
Encased community is the most important for us - we are going to follow up those closely for your feedback on the game.
The game is still in the development so if you want to stay in touch on other channels than Steam you can follow us on social media and visit other cool resources with game updates information new artworks and lore pieces.

Bryan - This week I’ve been vigorously testing our challenge modes to figure out what sort of high scores are achievable and how to rank their difficulties. Some of the challenges involve some really crazy setups that players wouldn’t normally encounter during the campaign. This gives plenty of opportunities for more playability even after the main game has been completed. Here’s a screenshot of one of the more hectic challenges. There’s a lot going on here!
Lauren - This week has been super exciting because I got to mention on social media that we've finished a lot of the animations for the full game! I did show off some cheeky animations on Tiktok and our Instagram, and I've got a few videos already queued for next week! Bring on the fun! 🎉
Ian - Had all of my family visiting this week, so I didn't quite get as much done as I normally do. The time I was able to work was spent on a mixture of wrapping up challenge mode progression, fixing random bugs, and organizing some non game dev stuff to make sure we have a super productive July! Here is a little gif of a bug I fixed.
Lots of exciting internal stuff going on we can't talk about yet, but you will be hearing some pretty cool stuff soon!
After the last patch I've been getting scattered reports of a softlock that can occur when hatching dogs. This has something to do with spawning in ghosts at very particular timings and I'm still looking into the original error that causes it, but I found an issue with the dog spawning system that causes softlocks 100% of the time if any error gets thrown at a certain point. This patch fixes that specific issue, which should stop this particular softlock from happening and will make this system more robust going forward.
Also, as of this build the Unity splash screen has been removed :o
The new update of Scaper Dash brought with it not a lot of different content, namely: - New music at the beginning and at the end of the game; - New background at the beginning and at the end of the game; -A new font added only to level 1, at the beginning and at the end of the game (please write how you like this font); - Changed level 13 and 14; - Fixed some bugs and bugs that could interfere with the gameplay; - Announcement of new levels; -Some other changes; - And... Above all... a blank for the plot!
Well, in general, this update did not bring a lot of diverse content to the game, rather it is a bug fix mixed with some changes. In general, write to us how you like the update, as well as offer us your ideas, and perhaps they will be able to get into the game itself.
