Community Announcements - apounder505
Hi Porters! We hope you’re well and staying safe. To celebrate our involvement in the Steam Summer Sale, we’re giving you all another opportunity to contribute to our Central Region interactive map. DEATH STRANDING is all about establishing connections, so what better way to celebrate that message by inviting our PC community to share their journey to reconnect America with us.

On this occasion, we want to see your sunniest and warmest SUMMER photo mode shots. We’ll pick a selection of our favourites to upload over on our website soon after.

http://505.games/DSPCInteractiveMap ːsteamthumbsupː

Want to get involved?

EVENT DETAILS
• Submit your best photo mode shots here in the comments, along with a screenshot highlighting where in the world you’ve taken your photos. This will allow us to pin your shots on our interactive map. Without that additional screenshot, we won’t be able to accurately identify where on the Central Region map the photo was captured.
• Think outside the box and travel far and wide! We’re looking for variety, so do explore as much of the map as possible.
• Please only use the photo mode tools available in game.
• If you wish to include a short message to support your photo submissions, then leave them in the comments and we’ll include them with your captures over on our website!
We will pick approximately 20 shots at the end of the event to upload to our Central Region map.
• Our second interactive Central Region map update is scheduled for week commencing July 5th, so be sure to get those submissions in as soon as possible!

Death Trash - talecrafter
Happy to announce that the Demo on Steam is permanent now.

Progress from current save games will not carry over (to prevent bugs), but after Early Access release you can start in the demo and then continue in the Early Access version.

Please use the demo to check out the game.

Early Access Infos

This is all the info you need:

August 5th -> Early Access here on Steam.
One third of final game. Unfinished.

Buy if:
1. You're happy with demo, want a few more hours of that.
2. You want to support us, including ongoing feedback.

Otherwise, just wait for the final version that is coming in 2022 or whenever it's done.

You can use the demo to check if it runs on your computer. The demo version will be updated alongside the Early Access version and will have the same technological base, minus the extra content.

Why we do Early Access...

We have a strong grasp on the world of Death Trash and its personality. Don't need additional ideas there.

But gameplay needs a lot of feedback still. Genre is fixed, but game feel, usability, variety, progression etc. will improve a lot by this process.

Consider supporting us through Early Access already, but decide on your own if you like playing unfinished games or not.

RATS: High Tea at Sea is a print & play, roll & write boardgame for 2-6 players that’s playable over the internet, in the same room, or a combination of the two! It is preposterously easy to learn and teach, but has sneaky twists and turns that will reveal themselves every time you play - a lovely little treat for whoever fancies climbing aboard.

2-6 players
30-45 minutes
Roll-and-write, RATS, "Gentlemen, it has been a privilege"

A banquet on a sinking ship can't last forever, but there's just enough time to prove yourself the most fabulous rat aboard! Each round you’ll be scavenging for supplies and competing with your honorable host in a most delightful competition of dishes and decorations - all the while forgetting that the ship is sinking beneath you!

City of Gangsters - aaron.raw
Hey everybody, welcome back to another developer update. We know a lot of you have been asking about how combat works in City of Gangsters, so today we thought we’d talk about that aspect of the game more fully.

Weapons and combat

While economy and relationship management are the main two pillars of City of Gangsters, conflict does play an important role as well. As you start to build up your criminal outfit and expand your territory, you’ll run up against aggressive troublemakers and competing rival outfits. It’s often more pragmatic to take a diplomatic approach to these encounters, but you’ll occasionally have to resort to direct conflict and violence. Be warned, though, that any negative actions you take against your rivals will be remembered, and what initially started out as a street brawl might escalate into a full-scale war!

Obtaining weapons

If you’re gonna pick a fight you’ll need to make sure you’re well prepared. Fortunately there’s a whole range of weapons, both conventional and improvised, that you’ll be able to obtain in a number of different ways during your campaign:

Buying from businesses - Improvised melee weapons such as bats and crowbars can be bought from some of the businesses you discover, but supplies tend to be limited and businesses that sell these items can be few and far between.

“Gifts” from bribed cops - Police issue weapons such as billy clubs and colt revolvers, alongside various other confiscated firearms, can be obtained from cops who are friendly and on the take.

Deals with troublemakers - Amongst the many troublemakers you encounter, some will be interested in business dealings, and if you manage to get them on your side they will offer you business deals, which sometimes involve bulk deliveries of cheap weapons. Handy when you need to tool up your entire crew!

Rewards for completing missions - Helping out your business contacts will not only earn you respect and improve your relationship levels, it may also result in some intriguing and useful rewards.

Combat

Combat can occur when two or more crew members from unaffiliated outfits meet on the same street corner. If you initiate an attack you’ll be presented with a few options:

Attack priority - Decide the order in which your crew members will attack.
Target - Pick individual targets for each crew member.
Method - Pick which weapon each crew member will use.

All weapons possess two stats, a base chance to hit and a damage range, and these vary across the board. For example, a baseball bat is an accurate weapon, but is unlikely to do much harm, while a pistol is far less reliable, but has a much higher potential to do serious damage.

It's worth noting that some traits such as strong and sharpeyed, along with crew member experience in backstreet brawling, can also provide additional bonuses to both of these stats. Similarly, certain other traits can produce negative modifiers as well, so be careful!

Combat results

Once a round of combat is over you’ll see the results, with participants losing hit points and becoming roughed up, injured, or just plain dead. It's important to remember that a crew member that is injured will not work so make sure you rest them up at a safehouse before you send them out again.

As we mentioned at the beginning of this post, combat should be used sparingly, and often as a last resort, particularly when rival outfits are involved. Police will take notice of violent activity, and you can bet that the relatives of people you have hurt will remember your actions and change how they deal with you in the future, so plan out your hits carefully.

Stormbound - kamil.mroczkowski
Hello Stormbounders! A new version of Stormbound is coming in early July, bringing balance changes, a new card, and some further Brawl developments!
  1. Balance changes
  2. New card
  3. New Brawls
  4. Deck slots
  5. FAQ

BALANCE CHANGES

This release, like any other, brings some balance changes.

  • Slyboots now force the confused unit(s) to move after confusing them.
  • Excited Mousers’ strength is now 5/6/7/9/11 (up from 3/4/5/6/7), mana is now 5 (up from 3), and their ability now counts all friendly units on the board instead of surrounding only.
  • Destructobots can now inflict damage to friendly structures instead of friendly units only.
  • Temple of Space’s ability now only destroys the older copy instead of both temples.
  • Spellbinder Zhevana’s ability can now trigger on friendly units as well such as Iceflakes.
  • Counselor Ahmi’s ability now considers all surrounding units.
  • Temple of Focus no longer deals self-damage.

NERF COMPENSATION

As usual, some compensation in the form of coins and fusion stones will be provided to owners of Destructobots and Counselor Ahmi, proportional to the level and rarity of the card. Find below the compensation values for each rarity and level.

Rare card: 15 coins and 2 fusion stones at level 2, 30 coins and 3 fusion stones at level 3, 90 coins and 7 fusion stones at level 4, 190 coins, and 10 fusion stones at level 5.
Legendary card: 1 fusion stone at level 1, 20 coins and 5 fusion stones at level 2, 50 coins and 10 fusion stones at level 3, 150 coins and 20 fusion stones at level 4, 300 coins and 50 fusion stones at level 5.

NEW CARD

A new card is joining the neutral faction, an alternative to Fort of Ebonrock, which plays on the new “fixedly forward” movement that was introduced with Headless Hotheads.

TEMPLE OF THE MIND:
Mana: 3
Str: 2/3/5/6/7
Ability: At the start of your turn, give fixedly forward movement to a random non‑Hero unit card from your hand, then kill all friendly confused units

As usual, there will be an exclusive pack to quickly get access to some copies of the new card, for a week after its release date.

It will be available from July 2nd at $9.99, and will grant the following :
- 10 copies of Temple of the Mind
- 5 fusion stones
- 750 coins

NEW BRAWLS

Following the revamp of the Brawl from June, this release is going to bring 4 new and very unique Brawl modifiers.

  • Pure Amalgamation: Both players are forced to play the same deck (at the same levels), randomly composed of 6 cards of one player and 6 cards of the other. No duplicates and the strongest card copy is preferred.
  • Fights of Threes: A player cannot place more than 3 units on the board. Therefore, this Brawl will encourage a careful balance of units, spells, and structures to be successful.
  • Interestingly, Summon Militia and Call for Aid can be played but their tokens immediately get destroyed if there are already 3 friendly units on the board.
  • Thin No-Man’s Land: The initial frontline starts on the second row instead of the first and cannot fall lower than the second row at any time.
  • Stunning attack: Units get confused on receiving any damage. This Brawl should be all about confusion.
  • To celebrate these new Brawls, the Pure Amalgamation modifier will be issued on all difficulty levels on July 1st as a tryout. Enjoy it!
DECK SLOTS

After having considered the community’s opinion on the cost of the new deck slots, we decided to significantly reduce it to 25 rubies, 50 rubies, and 100 rubies.

In order to make sure no one wasted resources needlessly, players who already bought these slots will receive compensation of course.

FAQ

When is the update going to be released?

The balance changes will be deployed with the season reset as usual. Temple of the Mind will be available from July 2nd along with its promotional pack (for a week). The new Brawl modifiers will be released in the next few weeks.

StressOut - Otiv
Hey!

It's been only a couple of days since our last major update and here is a next one already - a minor update with a couple of bug fixes, expanded new level from last update and added a beep sound when items fly over a checkout scanner. We've seen a few people scanning items and then they were disappointed when it didn't work so hopefully this beep sound completely transcends the way some people experience StressOut. 🤯

StressOut is also 35% off, so if you have any friends that are interested, it's the perfect time to pick the game up.

If you want to help us, join our Discord and give us feedback, or post in our steam forums.
