Today’s devlog will be about earning money in Chop Shop Simulator. So let’s start!
Your potential client may not like to know that his/her new car is a stolen vehicle. That’s why you need to hide this for example by:
Changing number plate.
Finding and moving out GPSs
Repainting car.
Changing parts that are broken after breaking into it.
Polishing serial numbers.
Buying a broken/burned car and swapping VIN.
You can sell all cars on auction or by parts. It’s your choice but remember that if you don’t do everything to legalize, the police can find you.
Starting price can affect how fast you will sell your car but it also can interest the police.
Your potential client can bargain with you so prepare yourself for that and remember that if you wait for the best offer too long you can lose out on it.
Hope you liked today’s devlog. If you want to know more or you have any question join our Discord (https://discord.gg/3jjxqnxQTw)
Today is the day of the final release! This project has been in the works for nearly a year and it all led up to this point. As a major milestone, this full release also includes a massive update filled to the brim with fixes & improvements, based on your feedback!
Before we get into the patch notes, we again want to give our heartfelt thanks to you, The Players. We've received so much good feedback and so many suggestions & bug reports, all of which have helped us improve the game immensely.
Now, for those willing to dare our patch notes:
Major Additions
Autosaving!. We heard you loud & clear: once you end a day, the game will autosave your progress, allowing you to close the game & later continue playing the next in-game day. Use the "Continue" button on the main menu!
Actor Preview while dressing. While you're equipping new clothing items to your actors, you can see a preview of that actor in real time.
Additional Story between acts. Now when you finish an Act, you will see a bit more of the story on what is changing and going on around the theatre.
Options Menu. You are now able to change various graphics options, mute the audio & disable tutorial prompts.
Improvements
Balancing
Starting money decreased, no more buying out the store on Day 1.
Money earned from Plays now reflects the performance of your actors & preparation of the show better.
Amount of skill points Actors get from practicing skills has been adjusted to allow for a more logical result.
Crafting of Clothing & Staging has been made a bit more difficult. It requires more effort to finish it yourself. (Or just send your actors to do it for you)
Onboarding
Added various prompts to explain parts of the game that were confusing at first.
Improved existing onboarding prompts to better guide the player and show what buttons are being referred to.
Narrative
Many quests have improved descriptions & show what reward you get for completing them.
All the different plays have their own unique descriptions.
All actors can now tell you a bit more about themselves.
Added actor text lines to the play snapshots when you perform a play. (Now you can get an idea of what they're saying!)
UI & Menus
Added a credits button to the main menu.
All items in the catalogue now have a description.
Small improvements to Menus around the game, adding small animations & making them feel a bit smoother to use.
Removed the final bit of placeholder UI. (specifically the show overview before you start the play)
Actors now get a small notification icon when they encounter an issue while practicing a skill.
Improved UI while crafting.
You can press the ESC key to close any menu in-game.
When talking to actors, their textboxes now show who you're talking to.
Added a brand new intro splash-screen when booting up the game. (And you can't skip it >:)
Art & Visuals
All the plays now have unique snapshots of scenes related to that play.
Multiple new hats & masks have been added and made available to purchase, craft & equip to your actors.
All available stages have had small improvements.
In-game cursor has been improved to make it a bit more visible & easier to use.
New icons for all the stages.
Audio
New audio/sound bits for different actors & actions
Bug fixes
Fixed various small issues with Show Calculation. You should now get the score you deserve
Fixed multiple smaller issues where the show result overview didn't accurately show the actual results.
Fixed an issue where some of the quests didn't register being completed.
Fixed an issue where the first act specifically was not possible to be completed.
Fixed an issue where the player would sometimes keep walking when opening a menu.
Fixed an issue where some crafting menus required you to click objects, while others required you to drag 'n drop. (It's all drag 'n drop now)
Fixed various issues surround conflicts, no more softlocks, resolution bugs or inability to fix.
Fixed an issue where you would help an actor with a conflict but they give you a hostile response.
Fixed a bug where the audio notification wouldn't play when an actor ran into an issue.
Fixed a bug where you would still be on the same day after performing a play. The date now progresses and the Store + Actor AP gets reset.
Fixed an issue where the attitudes of Actors while talking to them after finishing an Act does not reflect the choices you made for them.
Fixed a bug where the date could go to 32nd of March and beyond.
Fixed a bug where actors that weren't assigned to plays would sometimes randomly walk through the play while it's happening.
You made it to the end, be proud of yourself! <3 Thanks for reading and once again thanks for playing our game, we hope you enjoy the new update!
Neurodeck 1.4.1 is live on beta branch! This is the last stretch for us and to make sure that everything works fine and that we can fix issues before we push it on the main app, we need testers to help us get a better overview of these issues.
See you on our Discord server if you'd like to lend a hand on testing!
Thank you for supporting us and welcoming the new features!
