I thought it was time for a little update. A lot has been changed internally in the game, so an early beta has been released, which this newsletter will focus on.





I have been working on changing several core elements of the game. Mainly Staff and Articles, as this was needed to allow for much better mechanincs in the future. So even though it is not visible in game, a lot has changed under the helmet, as articles and staff make up the majority of the game. But changes might mean bugs. So the current beta has been released early so many of these bugs with your help can be found, and give for a good and reliable experience.
It can be simple and in unexpected areas so please report everything that behaves in an unusual way. There will be a separate channel for this on the discord.


Since there is some work to go before a new update, this beta will be out for an extended period. This means it will be updated regularly, and i will keep a changelog on Discord you you can follow what has been changed between each version.




Before the big change, a much requested feature was added. Mainly that your staff can be assigned different areas to work.



Assign this directly from your hud.


There have been requested several options to solve various things. So mouse sensitivity, inverted mouse axis, and FoV change for people with wide screens,




Players with AZERTY keyboards also had difficulties playing. So keybinding is also now possible to do.




I have explained that we are making womans clothing to be added. These are still being prepared. Many articles has been created, but we are still adding more. So a bit of work and setup still needs to be done before they can be fully added to the game.

But i can still share some images of what have been done so far.

Hello everyone, this is the Ironsight Team!

Season 5: Dawn of the Desert will go live on June 24th! The season will run for 78 days, finishing on the 9th of September.

This season brings a brand new Battle Pass with 100 more tiers filled with new items!

A new season of ranked will also begin with some changes from last season. This Season will be divided into 3 parts, consisting of Solo Ranked, Clan Wars, and Duel.

Season 5 will also see the release of 3 new weapons. The M240 LWS (LMG), the M1911 (Pistol) and the Butterfly Knife. Take these weapons into battle to create new strategies, fill new roles, and show-off in style.

Leave the team behind and take on everyone by yourself. Starting with only a knife at your disposal, avoid the magnetic field as it continuously takes over more areas of the map, and scavenge for equipment in order to outlast all of your enemies.Team Battle Royale will be removed from matchmaking and Battle Royale (Solo) will take its place. • Level Requirement : You must be level 15 in order to participate in any of the ranked modes.
  
• During matchmaking, all player names, dogtags, titles and emblems are hidden.
  
• Players now start at 1200 Rank Points (increased from 500 last season)
  
• The amount of players queuing for a Ranked Game will now be displayed during matchmaking.
  
• Open Time : 24/7
  
• Penalties
  - Inactivity penalty after 7 days. - Abandoning a game will result in a temporary restriction in joining ranked matches again. This time will increase for repeat offences. - Leaving a game early will count as a loss.

Participate in Ranked Matches regularly in order to receive rewards every day.

In the ranked menu you can check the time remaining in the season.You can also check your current Points and Ranked Tier.Your current points and tier can also be viewed from your account tab.During matchmaking, you can see how many players are currently queueing for ranked, as well as the ruleset for the current Ranked Mode.The leader board keeps track of the top 100 ranked players in the world.

There will be a future announcement detailing Season 5’s Ranked Rewards.

Users that partake in actions that violate basic game rules will automatically be excluded from receiving any rewards. This includes the use of glitches, bugs, map boosting, use of 3rd party programs and hacks, etc

Punishable Activities

• Account sharing (For example, letting someone else play on your account in order to achieve a higher rank)
  
• Refusing to participate in the game, or going AFK.
  
• Intentionally losing or throwing the game.
  
• The following rules apply to Clan Wars
  - Moving to another clan with the intent/purpose of playing against your original clan.- Using alternate accounts in a different clan to raise the score of your clan.- Clans collaborating with each other in order to avoid other clans, and only match with each other.

Earn rewards for playing the game when you unlock Battle Pass tiers containing unique items.
• Access the Battle Pass in the bottom right corner of the main lobby screen. Here you can inspect all 100 tiers and check your current progress.
  
  
  
• The Battle Pass can be bought by itself or as part of a bundle package which comes with more tiers already unlocked.
  
• The base Battle Pass comes with 3 tiers unlocked and can be bought for 9,900 W coin, whereas the bundle comes with 20 tiers already unlocked and can be bought for 24,000 W coin.
  
• These tier unlocks are applied to your current progress when buying the Battle Pass. For example, if you are currently on tier 7 when you buy the base Battle Pass, you will unlock 3 tiers and instantly be boosted to tier 10. If you are on tier 20 when you buy the Battle Pass Bundle, you will unlock 20 tiers and instantly be boosted to tier 40.
  
• After buying the Battle Pass, you will have the option to purchase as many tiers as you want using Chips. (Each tier costs 15 Chips)

• You will progress through the Battle Pass as you earn XP in Ironsight. The bar at the bottom of the Battle Pass screen displays your current progress.

In order to activate the paid course, you will need to purchase the Battle Pass in-game with W Coins.Q : What is the difference between free tiers and paid tiers?A : The paid course provides rewards for all 100 tiers whereas the free course only provides rewards for select tiers. Q : If I purchase the Battle Pass, do I still receive the Free track rewards?A : Yes, if you purchase the Battle Pass you will receive the paid rewards as well as the free rewards. Q : What happens if I decide to buy the Battle Pass later?A : If you already made progress in the Battle Pass before deciding to buy it, all previous paid tier rewards will be unlocked instantly when you purchase the battle pass. If you would like to check if a weapon comes with a special reload animation, please test it out using the gun-range.

The renowned scientist Dr Funkenstein has been beavering away in his laboratory, experimenting on ways to make pets even stronger. But he’s taken a dangerous path, using controversial techniques to splice their DNA together with strands from some of the more powerful monsters out there! He was on the cusp of making a major breakthrough, when something terrible happened… a loud bang, a fizz of sparks, and his entire experiment went up in smoke! Don’t worry, Dr Funkenstein is unharmed, but now all of his test subjects are running wild. That’s right, genetically modified monsters which could attack at any moment!

It’s now up to you to track down the runaway beasties. Dr Funkenstein is willing to offer you a generous reward for your help. (If you don’t help, he’ll have to pay a massive fine for his illegal experiments and for endangering the lives of young adventurers.)

Event period: From 23rd June (11 AM CEST) to 30th June (11 AM CEST)

• 
  Find the right map where the monsters are lurking.
• 
  Be in the right place at the right time, because the monsters will only come out at certain times.
• 
  Defeat the monsters, but be on your guard. They’re very strong and liable to use unusual attacks.
• 
  The monsters drop special loot you can take to Dr Funkenstein for valuable rewards.
• 
  Team up with other adventurers to hunt the monsters down more effectively.

The loot you collect is not tradeable and will land directly in your inventory. Every player who deals at least 5% of the damage to a monster will get the loot. But the monsters will slowly lose their health and disappear after about 40 minutes.
Here are a few tips for tracking down the monsters:

• Foxies like hiding in caves.
• Woolies enjoy munching grass and often hang around experimental facilities.
• Imps are attracted to magical areas.
• Jellies are most liable to be found in sandy regions.
• Hamsters like temples and ruins.
• Wolves prefer the shade of mountains and woods.
