Note: Some features of the original videogame have been removed for the moment. Like battle score and character's dodging in the battlefield.
New Features:
Four new Civilizations: Vikings, Huns, Goths, and Picts.
8 new dialogues for each new civilization (48 in total)
Main menu for civilization selection improved.
Main character now can move around the battlefield.
4 kind of executes when an enemy attacks the player, by pressing right mouse click. Note: this feature replaces the dodge system for now.
New Hack & Slash special effects added (sword whooshes and hits particles effects)
1 new music audio for the battlefield.
Fixes:
Bloody Mode now is optimized
Now enemies's blood does not obstruct the player's vision so much as before.
Main character has more health.
Fixed Executions that sometimes immobilize the player
Fixed the problem about choosing only England civilization instead of both of them (England and Frankia). Now you can choose between 6 civilizations.
Features removed:
Main character's skills (Except Bloody Mode)
Score system
Dodge system
Life system
Winning or losing message
Current Issues:
Sometimes Gamepad could not work propertly
Sometimes Main character keeps moving even when the battle is over.
When you win the battle in Bloody Mode, the screen fades out with a dark red background instead of black.
Sometimes winner soldiers slide while they are in victory animation.
Since the blood does not obstruct player's vision too much as before, it needs more fixes yet.
Reason of the Removed Features: The videogame was coded throught a template modified by us via code. But we noticed that this template had a lot of issues that made us more difficult to develop our videogame. Specially for debuging and performance. So, we decided to create our own template and get more control of the current workflow of the videogame. By the other hand, we have in mind to add these removed features again, if the mechanics are appropiated and, specially, flexible.
Now when the first 12 hectic hours after release have passed we can finally catch our breaths.
We would like to thank everyone for Your reviews, questions and any interest in our project. For now we will keep fixing any emerging issues and bugs and start planning our next endeavour.
Please enjoy 16bit vs Reality and its rocking soundtrack and share Your experiences with us!
