Automobilista 2 V1.2.0.8 is now live - this is another complementary update to the v1.2 release from a couple of weeks ago, fixing some recent and long-standing bugs that could the game to crash under some circunstances.
If you still experience any instability while running AMS2 specially following an update, it´s worth running through the checklist below:
1- Verify the integrity of game files via Steam to ensure your installation doesn´t have any faulty or corrupted files
2- While you should not need to regularly delete your Documents\Automobilista 2 folder to start a fresh profile every month, some users have reported that starting fresh helped them solve a few issues, specially handling / controller related ones
3- If you experience freezes, CTDs or stutters, double check the applications you have running in the background via Task Manager, close the ones that aren´t essential to see if they might be interfering with the game functionality
4- If you experience crashes running with shadows on Ultra since V1.2 release, try switching it down to High - High is the equivalent of pre V1.2 Ultra, with the latest update making Ultra a bit more demanding on certain GPUs.
5- If you own a G923 and are experiencing issues with game freezing on startup, this topic features some good recommendations

First, we must apologize for our lack of testing that leads to unpleasant experiences for players.
Right now, we are updating our first patch which brings following changes:
1. Remaining food: Now, there will be a piece of meat near you when you are respawned, allowing you to have some 'emergency supply' while you are still a cub.
2. In order to help players to find preys easier, we enlarged the detecting range of leopards. Press "V" to sniff, this feature will help you to track down preys in a wide range of 500m. Once been detected there will be a red arrow on the top of your preys to help you locate them.
3. Now, the players can see each others' name when they are in the same server. Players' names will be shown to let you know their direction while you are playing.
4. Only adult leopard are capable of climbing trees, fixed the bug of cubs able to climb trees.
So far, you can find following creatures on Divach Plain: crows, sparrows, robins, hares, beavers, lemmings, elks, poachers and the most dangerous groups of female lions. You can also find giraffes, hippos and elephants, but they are not interactable at current stage. But they will become world bosses in future updates.
There are also some creatures such as male lions and wildebeests that we were not able to add in to the game due to time reason. We will add them into the game in following updates. Other bugs like the edge of the map is under processing, will be fixed soon.

We are constantly improving the game and releasing new updates almost every day. Today is also an update day! Here's what we have changed/added: - We have recently improved moving cars between locations, added the ability to save the game from the tablet level, smaller bugs related to self-repairing cars have already been solved. - The steering wheels on test tracks should now work properly. - We have also changed the keyboard display order on the tablet, and the alt key action on the virtual keyboard. - We have added alphabetical sorting of the shopping list. - Other minor improvements and bug fixes.
