Hello people!!

Once again, thanks to those who bought the game and played it. That support means the world to us!

We've heard your suggestions and requests and this is what we did about it...

These are the patch notes for June's Update.

First and foremost. Many people have said that they dislike that once you began hitting or casting, there was no way to cancel that. Although it was intended that players are forced to think before smashing buttons, this seems to be something you didn´t enjoy. So starting now, jumping or dashing will cancel casting stance and break you off the attack animation

We understand some of you wanted more clues on how to save each story. So now, if you exit a story without saving it, the Amulet will give you another clue. We hope this clue, with the end screen on each legend, will help people find how to save every story.

We've increased the feeling of hitting and being hit. Hopefully, this will fill everyone's blood with rushes of excitement as we want you to enjoy the journey through the amazing Latin American Myths you'll encounter at every level.

We've added crouching attacks and upwards attacks for every type of weapon. Some people mentioned that they felt as having no control over the attacks. Hopefully, this will aid you to really have a sense of wearing our hero's boots.

We've added a new frame to the initial animation as some people felt it weird to start the second half of said animation with a black background and some dialogue displayed at the bottom.

We've reinforced some animations that will queue you on what's going on as you block with your shield and we've also twitched how the shield blocks overall.

We've also worked on some extremely small bugs we haven't noticed before. Guardian of Lore is a huge, ambitious project and there're probably some other bugs we haven't noticed... so if you happen to run across one, remember to tell us about it, either through social networks or here at Steam.

Last but certainly, not least... MAC version is a reality at last!! It wasn't easy, but we made it work. We'd committed to giving you a PC/MAC/Linux version and we'll keep that promise.

PC was an easy one... we know the game is playable on Linux via Proton hence we focus our efforts on the MAC version. Now that is done, we'll start working on the Linux version.

What's that? Do you want to know about the console version? It's in the making as well... if you want to skip the PC version and jump into your favorite console, it is a matter of time.

Lots of new stuff and big changes with this update! Thanks for playing and helping us get to this point! The game has came a long way since the initial demo release and now this will be the final update before the game launches in early access.

* NEW FEATURE! CUSTOM RUNS. Design a run just the way you like it.

* NEW WORLD MODIFIER: "Impostor". Heroes will start with items from other heroes.

* NEW HERO: The Monk!

* IMPORTANT: Re-ordered the heroes in the Hero Select screen. You may notice some extra heroes unlocked.

* The Casual mode upgrade "Reveal X enemy cards every round" has been changed to "Reveal the first X cards each combat", and split into more upgrades.

* Added two new Catacombs: Dreadshield, Firewall

* Added empty nodes to the world map. There is nothing in these nodes.

* Rebalanced the monsters so they are a little bit easier than they used to be.

* Added "Previous Best" lines to the world map for each hero.

* Huntress's energy ability cost reduced from 3 to 2.

* Fixed a bug where Phoenix was invulnerable against Enflame

* Craven chef now reduced to 5 available food.

* When enemies take Curse damage, it now happens at the start of the next round, instead of at the end of their turn.

* Darksludge now removes curse when applying poison.

* Pierce damage now ignores Armor.

* Block now blocks damage before Armor.

* Counterattack now works with Armor.

* Rebalanced Soulseeker.

* Vampire is no longer affected by the "Lose less life from starving" casual upgrade.

* There is now a maximum of 999 chips. Any amount higher will be discarded.

* Phoenix is no longer impossible to kill with Enflame.

* Blessed items now deal their damage after the item effects take place.

* Illumination now works when enemy items are disabled.

* Added hotkeys for Casinos.

- Dogfight At Will toggle to the Orders panel enabling your fighters to engage enemy aircraft automatically as they are detected.

- Additional fixes and improvements to gunnery Fire At Will mode.

- New night time environment lighting.

Using Fire At Will to commence shooting after initiating a RETREAT will cancel retreating

Fire At Will mode no longer displays "no ammunition" messages
"Firing At Will" and "Stop" text on weapons panel now correctly use language Dictionary values

The entire team has been having a blast and enjoying all the Genesis 2 content you've been sharing. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! As the team continues to iterate on some bugs from the latest launch, we wanted to take this time and talk about something we've seen across the minds of the survivor community:



Though Genesis 2 marks the end of the journey and the end of paid content for ARK 1, in terms of new content and new experiences: there is much more in the works! ARK's thriving community is full of talent and we'll be tapping into that talent for another community map to bring into the official fold later in the year. In addition to new maps, we're continuing to support the live-game with quality-of-life additions, TLC patches, updates, and fixes to pesky bugs. New experiences will continue to roll in with community events and in-game holiday events. Summer Bash anyone 😉?

Dear players,

First of all, please let me welcome all new players to be a part of the Galactic Crew! In this week's dev log, I want to give you a compact preview of the next content update that is scheduled for late July and I also want to give you more exciting news!

Combat update
The first big update back in the Beta phase was focused on construction and colonies. The second update (May) was focused on the exploration theme and the upcoming update will be focused on combat.

There will be a new playable race: robots! The image below gives you a preview of the new playable models. There will also be a new story line focusing on improving your crew's equipment, improving your ship's weapons and the new robot race.



There will be a completely new room for your colonies with new features, scientists will get new active and passive skills, there are new items to craft, new cards to use when creating a new game, new achievements in Steam, new elements in the tech tree and many quality-of-life improvements - some of which were requested by you. There will also be a way to upgrade your weapons with special abilities!

I am actively working on improving the jobs of characters especially for the ground combat system that needs improvement.

Was this everything? No! This is just a brief summary for you to get a feeling what is coming up in late July! I make great progress so far and I think the update will be completed by then.



Twitch
If you have ever wrote me an e-mail, started a Steam discussion or sent me a Twitter DM, you know that I will always respond as fast as possible. Player interactions are very important to me, because you know best what you want in the game and I enjoy seeing players enjoying the work I have done. I was looking for new ways to interact with you and I will start my own Twitch channel very soon. Artists are currently working on graphics and designs for the channel and I am waiting for the delivery of hardware. Hopefully, I can start the channel next week or in two weeks. I will announce on Twitter before I go live for the first time. I do not expect any subscriptions or anything. I will develop Galactic Crew II live on streams, playtest the game and present new features, play games I like or I want to research and talk to you. So, if you are interested in this kind of interaction, feel free to follow me.

What's next?
I will post the Twitch streaming dates on Twitter once I know them. I will write new dev logs here every two weeks. The reworking of the ground combat system and other features will be very time-consuming and I could not present exciting news every week.

If you like the game, please leave a positive Steam review and if you have criticism of any kind, please let my know by sending me a DM or opening a Steam discussion.

We've discovered an issue with the Safety Gem compensation for the Death Penalty and Safety Charm Changes in v.223 and will be temporarily disabling it from the Gift Drop until further notice. The issue was that the Safety Gem compensation could be claimed multiple times.

The following is the Safety Gem compensation that has been disabled:
  • Permanent duration Safety Gems obtained through Cash Shop sales will be removed and accounts affected by the removal will be fully refunded with Maple Points.
  • The Marvel Machine coupons for Safety Gems will be disabled at 7:00 PM PDT on June 7, and accounts affected by the coupon disabling will be refunded with 1,640 Maple Points (1/3 of Marvel Machine spin price) per coupon.
We are currently investigating this issue and will make the above compensation available to those that have yet to claim it from their Gift Drop as soon as we can. In addition to the above, we're also looking into the issue where the compensation for Safety Gem Marvel Machine coupons that had their expirations extended after we temporarily disabled the coupon redemption in September 2019 was not distributed. We'll provide an update once we've investigated these issues and are ready to enable the compensation once again. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
