This blog is from last month. We're still working on these concepts of colonization, population growth and economy scaling. If you have some thoughts, we'd love some feedback.
Hi everybody! Another AI update for you this week!
This time it's the Cop / Military AI that is getting some attention as the zombie update has left them in trouble with being overrun!
First thing is, cops / military will now take a step backward when a zombie is in it's immediate vicinity. This is quite a big change as it means cops will retreat backwards as zombies advance towards them and fixes a lot of issues where quarantine lines were being overrun in weird ways. It won't help them if they get too overrun though...
Cops and Military will now advance into regions they have blockaded and will break windows to do so. When they have surrounded an area and there are surplus units behind the blockade they will advance forward. This is to further help break the stalemates where zombies are surrounded in buildings but the player has to wait a long time for the zombie to eventually stagger out.
Between these two AI upgrades the cops / military have become a lot stronger than they used to be. To reflect this I have tweaked the default scenario values so that there is half the amount of cops and the zombies are capable of taking an additional hit.
Other patch notes:
Military units now correctly show stats about zombie kills and ammo count
Fixed the mouseover unit ui from breaking causing the user to be unable to select units for renaming / control
Thanks for playing the game and I look forward to hearing your feedback on the AI changes!
Please enjoy the story in full voice, all 31 music tracks by game music creator Kensei, and the adventures of Iris, a special Automaton known as a Machinariae!
You can purchase the soundtrack from 11th June 2021 to 30th June 2021 at a 30% off price. It is optimized for listening to music and as a game material, so please enjoy it as well.
[About the included resources] ogg / m4a : These datas are optimized for use as music resources. Since LOOPSTART and LOOPLENGTH tags have already been embedded, loop playback is automatically possible on production software that supports loop tags, such as "RPG Maker MV/MZ".
mp3 : These datas are optimized for listening. The order of the songs has been rearranged, and two loops plus a fade-out process have been added. Tags such as album name and song title, as well as artwork images that can be displayed on various players, are already embedded.
There is no problem if you use the mp3 as a material.
SPACE TOW TRUCK - ISAAC NEWTON's Favorite Puzzle Game - Eric
The puzzle mode is for people who especially like solving puzzles. The narration is greatly reduced and is limited, essentially, to giving information about the mechanics of the game.
In this mode, all levels are accessible from the start and the difficulty level of each level is clearly indicated. The person playing can therefore decide to do the puzzles in any order they wish.
A preview of each level is also available by clicking on the difficulty level.
