The DPS meter

As mentioned, we’ve added more functions to the DPS meter:

  • Display for information on sequences of skills used
  • A search function in the player rankings (DPS info, gear, glyphs and skill advancement, EP, card collection, etc.)

Battlegrounds
Corsairs’ Stronghold

  • Increased the HP of gates, tanks and other battleground elements.
  • Also increased the movement speed of tanks.

Fraywind Canyon

  • Reduced the maximum number of healers to 3.

Unified Brooch

  • Added an effect which can remove debuffs.

Items

Magic Ingot

  • Increased the group loot in many different instances.
    Legendary Halidom / Relic
    *Can now be deposited in the bank.
    *Binds to you on equip.

Quests

  • Adjusted the paths on some Exodor quests.
  • Increased the number of credits received for Vanguard Initiative quests.

Miscellaneous

  • Integrated the TERA Battle Pass in the game mechanics and replaced the item-based pass.
  • Some monsters on Exodor can now drop Adventure Coins.
  • Increased the costs for individual items in various credit shops (Exodor and Vanguard Initiative).
  • Adjusted the display of various skill effects for certain video quality presets.
  • Added the option to switch various audio sources on/off.

Welcome to the patch 0.9.6, which includes a lot of optimization as well as the function that you all requested from us: the interface edition.

Optimization:

- Improved performance of shadow display
- Improvement of the tab-targetting system
- Improved general performance
- Optimized interface images to significantly reduce memory usage

Changes:

- Puzzle loot icon changed
- The animations for the melee spells Biting and Chewing and their VFXs have been revised and improved
- The name of a player in Trance (Rift mode) is now displayed above their head
- Rift mode: the team of the player is always displayed first
- The affix system has been revised
- The environment where the Dumuzid fights take place has been resized to better match the size of the characters
- The appearance and the size of the Withered Tantalion have been revised for a better readability during fights against EL-29 (Chapter 2 and 3)
- The prototypes in EL-29 Chapter 1 have new textures and names



Corrections:

- Male Hunter and Interceptor armors are now correct
- Fixed memory leaks resulting in game slowing down when a player chained many games
- Boss Maker: fixed several bugs
- The sequence of spells no longer causes an animation bug (visual only)
- The tantalion carrying the bomb in EL-29 chapter 2 now correctly drops its bomb when it arrives at its destination

Add:

- New affixes, help messages and visual feedback for chapters 1, 2 and 3 of Skain
- New affixes, help messages and visual feedback for chapters 1 and 2 of EL-29
- A loading icon is displayed at launch
- A Trance animation (Rift mode) has been added
- Players can now edit their interface in-game
- The animations of the new spells: Lethal agitation / Charge / Double embrace / Explosive globules / Bloody grenade / Blood swamp / Agitated parasite and Salutary bonding have been integrated

Interface Editor



The interface editor is accessible from the ESC menu or directly using the keyboard shortcut U.

By selecting an interface element from the dropdown list or by clicking directly on the corresponding item, you can move it wherever you want. You can also:
  • Show / Hide the element using the "Visible" option
  • Resize the element with the "Scale" option
Some elements allow more settings like the Buffs / Debuffs list. On these elements you can in addition:
  • Choose on how many rows / columns the icons are displayed
  • From which side to start the row (right corner or left corner)

2021 Paladins® Community Submission Program

THEME:
Fall/Halloween

AGE REQUIREMENT:
You must be at least 13 years of age in order to participate. Additionally, if you are a minor in your jurisdiction of residence, you must have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to participate.

SUBMISSION PERIOD:
Submissions will be accepted beginning as June 4th, 2021 at 10:00am Eastern Time and ending on July 9th, 2021 at 6:00pm Eastern Time. You can submit your submission here. You may submit as many submissions as you like during the submission period.

SUBMISSION SELECTION:
The Evil Mojo Team will review submissions based on the following factors: originality, technical feasibility, player appeal, overall theme, and quality. The team will select up to 10 submissions after review for potential implementation in the game, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Program Rules, including without limitation completion of a declaration of eligibility and acknowledgment of Hi-Rez’s rights in the submission. Hi-Rez reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of submissions to implement in-game based on the overall quality of the Submissions.

PROGRAM CONTENT:
Implementation of the selected submission in-game; the in-game title “Community Creator”; the “Community Creator” spray; and 10 codes for in-game downloads of the avatar created using your Submission. Hi-Rez will not be obligated to award such title or spray to you again if you have already unlocked it.



Please also note the following reminders on program rules:

  • Submissions must be consistent with the Theme for the program (in this case, Paladins).
  • Submissions must be submitted in PNG format with a 128×128 pixel size.
  • Submissions that are animated must be submitted with a 128x128 pixel size in GIF format.

First of all, we'd like to say thank you to everyone who supported us when the game was initially released to Early Access by purchasing the game and making these warm and positive reviews! For such a small team like us, it's very important to get more than 90% of positive reviews on Steam in order to bring our game to more players.
Some of your proposals are already planned to be implemented, and some small features are already in the today's update!

Here's the list of what's changed in today's update:
  • Fixed problems with authorization for some players.
  • Payments are now calculated in a different way in random events.
  • Now you can change the game speed using Space key.
  • Now you can zoom in and out with Q and E keys.
  • Fixed a problem when camera could jump from one overcrowded airport to another. Cities are now sorted by time remaining to react.
  • Fixed a problem with overcrowded city after "Hurricane" event.
  • Game speed now doesn't change after a random event.
  • Fixed some localization issues.
  • Improved connection stability.
  • Minor fixes and improvements.

Lighting

We've reworked lighting in the game. For instance, previously the sun was shifting very harshly, it was because of the time system in the Unreal Engine, we've found the solution to it and now the sun is moving smoothly, like a calm river. That will grant you beautiful sunrises and calming sunsets.


Foliage and materials

The environment is very important for immersion, and our level designer and 3D designer are working on foliage detalization, it will make bushes, trees, grass more unique and noticeable. Along with all that has been stated we are remastering materials in the game.

New level hidden outpost

The government always watching us. But if there is no government who's watching us now?

Known issues
  • Changing stance causes the camera to flicker

  • No. 20 Rifle Grenade uses placeholder sounds
  • Switching Audio quality in the options menu will cause a crash. Please restart the game to prevent that from happening.
  • AMD FX users will have degraded performance due to issues with the audio system. We’re still investigating possible solutions
  • VOIP widget role icon is not being displayed correctly
  • Damage radius of field cannons will sometimes cause players to not be killed immediately
