BoneTown: The Second Coming Edition - D-Dub Software


We're one week away from release! BoneTown: The Second Coming Edition is out on June 8th.

To celebrate, we'll be doing a drunken gameplay broadcast on release day. Think the drunken commentary on Blu-Rays, but instead, it'll be the developers playing the game, drinking, and talking about development and all things BoneTown. Keep an eye on this page for an exact time.

We hope you'll be playing right along with us on release day, so to help you get your copy right away, we'll be running a 15% launch discount for the first week of sales.



In addition, we will be doing a giveaway of games to newsletter subscribers. Information about how to enter will go out in a couple days, so if you haven't yet, sign up for our newsletter.

Eagle Island Twist - Pixelnicks
Thanks to all the players who provided early feedback on Discord. A quick patch with a few QoL features and some fixes :)

Features
  • Speedrun timer now continues to run on the menu and map
  • Speedrun timer now shows an individual level timer

Changes
  • The combo-crystal puzzle in Ice Slide Glide has been redesigned to stop players misinterpreting the solution.
  • A manaroc block has been added to the challenge at the end of Thrust Jump Jeopardy to help players find the solution.
  • In Hardcore difficulty, blocks which contained hearts on easier difficulties now appears as solid empty blocks instead of breakable blocks. This was misleading players into thinking secrets were nearby.
  • Off-screen seeds in Sploding Seeds now have an arrow indicator
  • Minor tweaks to a few levels
  • Ice Shard Missiles on Ancient Armaments now despawn if you enter a room and one is near Fia.
  • Sound effects no longer play on repeat when stationary on the Twist map screen.
  • The clinking cog sound effect of falling platforms is no long audible when in other rooms.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed: It was not possible to gain a gold medal on Ribbilick Ruins. The coin requirement has been lowered.
  • Fixed: The game soft-locks when health reaches zero in lava, when trapped beneath a platform.
  • Fixed: The game could occaisional crash on first load due to an issue creating the config.ini file.
  • Fixed: Spamming different feather selection when flying through a room exit could cause Kusako to teleport backwards in Flying Solo.
  • Fixed: Kusako could clip inside the terrain when taking damage in Flying Solo.
  • Fixed: Manaroc Twist Shards could be bounced around by explosions, causing them to land in inaccessible areas.
  • Fixed: Sometimes new paths appeared offset after beating a level and returning to the map screen.

  • New - Leather armor variants

  • New - Added a "stuck" button in the lower left corner of the hud. Press this if you fall through the world, get stuck on geometry, etc. It will move the party to the a "run" location.
  • New - Added a skill check in druinport sewers to find the button as a hint

  • Fixed - The Druinport guard has been spoken too and will no longer harass new arrivals at the dock (had him on the wrong faction)
  • Fixed - Bard class can wear plate armor as originally planned
  • Fixed - Some base armor stats have been adjusted
  • Fixed - Combat: where sometimes party members can't attack/cast spells should be fixed now. This was previously fixed but reverted after the April fiasco.

  • Informational - Arathi Highlands has been renamed to Snofugg Highlands. Didn't realize Arathi Highlands was a zone in World of Warcraft. And, here I thought I had come up with a cool name.

Shades of Rayna Update 0.0.28 (06/01/2021)

-Trader delivery progress unlimited claim is fixed.
-Bloods now disappear after 3 seconds.
-You can now trade 7 npc tokens for 1000 gold from npcs.
-Collisions in Atlis Desert are reworked. They are now more clean. If you have any problem with new collisions, please report to bug reports section in discord or community hub in steam.
-Green portals are now interactable. You need to press interact key to pass through.
-When invulnerability map skill is active, if you would active the second invulnerability skill, it would not stack. Not it works for the last activated map skill.
-Reaper's projectile damage is decreased by 84%.
-Krogon now drops less boulders.
-Every gold drop now gives the current difficulty number of golds.
-Research quests now give indicated amount of tokens.
-Researcher quests' reward numbers are decreased.
-Collector and Bounty Hunter quests' costs do not scale with difficulty anymore.

Fix:
-Character didn't spawn in Verdant Backwoods and camera went underground. It's fixed.
-Rewards from research quests now shows true reward on notification screen on left when claimed.

Month 13 of Landlord's Super Early Access.

Last month we finally released the Furniture Update into the main branch of Steam! Combined with the positive support of our fans, a couple of sales and some really great streamers picking up the game, the update really got the attention it deserves.

With that milestone complete, we're sure you'll be interested in what's next. Well, for us, we'll be spending a little bit of time moving home, but once that's out of the way it's back into the next update for the game. Read on to find out what the plans are there.

Furniture Update Now Available
The Furniture Update is now fully available on Steam. If you missed the announcement, or patch notes, you can view them here. The Furniture Update not only adds in 100s of new pieces of furniture but also includes new music, jobs, and mechanics further enhancing the Landlord's Super game experience. It is the biggest content update the game has had since starting Early Access, making it a perfect time to jump back in.



Moddable Features
As the core of the game becomes more fleshed out, we've started to add in a few moddable elements to the game. This is a trend we'll likely continue if it's something the community likes. For now, the moddable elements in the game are as follows.

  • Blank Tape Audio Files
  • Fill the blank tape with up to 20 .wav audio files of your choice, listen to a podcast, or load up the first album you ever purchased!
  • Blank Tape Texture
  • With the audio loaded, change the appearance of the tape so you can show off what you're listening to.
  • Paintings
  • There's currently 5 paintings featuring Ruta's beautiful art with more to come. Each one can be swapped out for any .png image through the StreamingAssets folder.



What's Next?
Those of you who have seen the current roadmap will noticed that the next planned step is shown as the Supper & Tea update. This won't actually be the focus for the next update. Instead, we'll be moving straight onto the Free Build update.
The reason for this change is partly that the Furniture update took us longer than expected, but mainly because we're uncomfortable being a year on from starting Early Access and still missing an end game.
The plan then, is to start work on this update as soon as we're done moving. Bug fixes will be at a break for now, as the work required for Free Build will require rebuilding fundamental aspects of the game.
If you're not comfortable waiting for an extended period of time for the content update - and are prepared for buggy content - we'll be opening up the In-Dev branch again as soon as it's available to do so, releasing content in phases.
The first phase of this update will likely focus on the removal and placement of interior walls. With us finding a workable solution for this that still allows tenants to rent the property. Then moving onto foundation and outer wall placement (the struggle here currently is figuring out how roof generation will work, but we'll figure that out as we understand the problems better).
Regardless, this is likely be the hardest and most demanding change the game has had since starting EA last year, so we please ask for patience and understanding while we're working away at it. We never originally planned for this, but we really don't want to let the community down so we think it's worth the effort.
Other than interior and exterior wall and foundation placements (Finally! Bigger properties!), we'll be using this update to add an end game loop and game ending state, more jobs, pad support and hopefully open up the way to start localising the game. Though this last point is dependent on whether script files are complete.

The 0.2.0.7 update of “Outlaw VR”, set to be released on 06/02 (GMT+8).

0.2.0.7 Updated Content:
  • Increase the protagonist's "stamina" setting, all melee attacks will consume a lot of stamina, making the battle process more rhythmic and strategic.
  • Added a new "Lion House Prequel" level test version to provide heroes with a broader space for exploration.
  • Optimize the number and layout of enemies in the "Tavern" level, as well as a large number of details to make the battle and clearance experience more smooth.
  • Optimize the plot animation before and after the "training camp" level to enhance the sense of substitution brought by the plot guide.
  • Optimize some music and sound effects and a small amount of English voice to help improve the overall experience during the game.
  • Fixed a lot of bugs taught by heroes.

This month we have been very busy working on the demo, which will be available to everyone for FREE in mid-June! The demo will contain a modified and completely unique storyline, which is why we have put a lot of effort into it. We have been working on new features that will surely surprise you! We also continued to work on the performance and made a lot of other improvements, but they would be too technical, so we won't go into them further.

What's the plan?

  • Steam Demo 16 June
  • First public Early Access version with 2 of 5 playable chapters in July

We're really looking forward to hearing your feedback from the demo and are excited to announce that we're in talks with publishers who may be able to improve Psych even further!

Nevertheless, there is still a long and hard road ahead, but it is one that we have chosen on purpose to deliver a truly unique gaming experience with Psych. Stay tuned for more news!

Mr Pepper’s Antiquarian Rework by Mr.Pepper

This Rework aims to remove Antiquarian dodge cheese gimmick and instead solidify her in a support role, capable of acting like a solo healer. She mainly interacts with her own party, by curing negative effects, giving stealth, reshuffling other heroes or even buffing damage. She is also able to mess with the enemy party with shuffle and stumble, debuff or simply blights.

Since antiquarian will not be able to prevent as much dmg as she used to (through dodge buff and Acc debuff) she has been given a +5 dodge and +1 speed at every levels. This should help her to survive more easily despite having the lowest hp in the game and to outspeed her own teammates to make her support skills more valuable. Antiquarian’s passives have not been changed.

Owlwing is a Damage dealer used to hurting and finishing weakened or exposed enemies. He has the tools to inflict these debilitations by himself, as well as bonuses to fighting while stealthed. When out in the open, he can riposte as well.
