The game is getting cleaner, tighter, and better. And that’s because of the hard work the team is putting in. And it’s not just hard work but a lot of work. This patch includes the following:
Updated Character Models, Skins and Animations,
Updated Particle Effects,
Reworked Magic Projectiles,
Numerous Bug Fixes, and
Further UI Improvements.
Updated Characters
Every character has now had a full face lift! The gnomes are prettier, the hedgehogs spikier, trolls scarier, goblins greener. You get the idea. With the new models came new skins, smoothing out all those early aspects that are best not remembered. It wouldn’t be enough if we stopped there. We’ve also added a slew of new animations to every character to really bring out their personalities. On top of that, there’s a hive a new dragons waiting to be discovered.
Updated Particle Effects
Fire! Let there be fire! And along with it plenty of smoke. We’ve updated the look of fire magic and all its components. Goblins and warriors have also had their particle effects updated. The other magic and character effects are also in the works, so come version 1.0 everything will be sparkling. It may require some extra special effects to truly make everything sparkle… and isn’t it oh so pretty when everything glitters!
Reworked Magic Projectiles
Dragons, mages and even you the player have had the magic reworked. This improves the base functionality of magic and makes sure everything is more cohesive in its appearance. Overall magic just works better for everyone, like it’s… magic?
Bug Fixes
Even after all this time things don’t always work. Yeah it’s awkward, but it’s also a normal part of game development. Which is part of the reason why we’re in Early Access - not so we can ship bugs, but so we can show you that we’re working on them. And working on them we are. This patch pushes numerous solutions to some of the most common problems. Magic wasn’t affecting characters or the player properly, it does now. Spawner buttons are no longer troublesome. You can’t teleport through the terrain. We’ve sorted most if not all rendering issues. Animations aren’t weird any longer. It’s been a good thorough clearing of the bug backlist and the game is better for it.
Further UI Improvements
Once more we’ve been working on the UI in an effort to improve its efficiency, readability and in order to prepare it for localization. Currently we’re planning on launching with Japanese support, though that’s only for the UI. We don’t have any plans to localize the little voice over we currently have. Who knows, maybe that and more languages will be supported in the future. We’re always open to that, as we are a multilingual team - we speak English, Finnish, Swedish, Japanese, and Spanish.

Lead the flight back to the Philippines to reclaim harbor taken by enemy forces in the new Conflicts mission Aydati. Pay attention to the new minimap with the enhanced icon, which allows you to better distinguish enemies. If you don’t, you might notice a new critical state warning in your cockpit that indicates you are in deep trouble.
Base of Operations got overhauled, and the interface now provides a better way to navigate through the main menu. As part of that, even the campaign menu is reworked to show parts of each operation more clearly.
Welcome to the Fourth instalment of the Dev Diary Series! We will be viewing over some sad news but also we will be getting our first look into the Levi Chronicles Story! First we will begin with the Inner Engine!
The Inner Engine
Since it's been a while since the last Dev Diary there is a lot of stuff to cover. Lets start off with the Development side of things!
The Latest I have been working on involved Cinematic's and cut-scenes. Since I'm not a professional director/developer I lack skill in these areas, so i have been putting a lot of effort into trying to learn how cinematic are made and whats the best methods to execute certain styles. With this has lead me to working on other-side of development too.
Audio. It's not my strong suit and I tend to avoid it. I struggle making good sounding audio. I was recently introduced to a new developing tool for audio production. much more official and more capable of doing what I need it to do. It's been a slow learning curve to figure it out, but it has given some amazing results!
While on the subject of audio. I have been working on the OST for the game too. attempting to figure out where music needs change or fixing. It has been a lot of fun actually. I decided to go back to my first drafts of the melody I will be using for each chapter. While going over them I was able to make them sound much nicer and more official with my new Music Skills.
Music is probably the fun side of audio creation for me!
To briefly cover the rest I had been working on multiplayer sessions and the Lobby systems. it has lead to me fixing a few issues with the UI and multiplayer as well.
There was 1 more major thing i had been working on and that was Players and debuffing. Instead if killing the player when they are hit by a explosion, they will instead be debuffed for a period of time. Much more player friendly and will make game-play much easier and more fluid.
It is time to move!
The Pipeline
Firstly i would like to apologise first of all, Some of you are expecting a release by the end of this month, but due to my poor predicting skills i will be missing the deadline...
It is my fault and I would like to say sorry. I am new to this all and my deadlines are running off experience of a baby! I feel bad for doing this...
But...
To make up for that i have a rough estimate of a release date. While talking to Valve and after careful discussion. Release is aimed for Mid June, If the game does not pass the check up from Valve by then, I will have to push the release to Mid July. I really don't want to release July so the aim is 100% focused on June!
And in other news! There is a Reveal Trailer for Levi Chronicles out now! You can finally see what the game has install for all of you!
