fixed far away camera zoom at start, when no star were absorbed yet
reduced absorption effect, especially in late game and if spaghettification is on
Added Features
added a new universe option "Spaghettification"
Spaghettification
EPILEPSY WARNING
With the new update you can now decide to activate the "Spaghettification" function at universe options. If this is active, all stars can shatter into small pieces. This will happen when the external force acts on the star is greater than the internal force, which holds the star together. Only massive black holes and neutronstars can apply those forces.
After a star shattered into smaller pieces, the center of mass model is now applied for each of these pieces. This means that a piece, which is closer to a black hole, will be affected by a greater force than those which are further away. The result is a stretching of the star like a spaghetti.
With this effect you can now create your own accretion disk. But beware, this effect is much worse for epileptics. To get rid of the accretion disk, apply a big force in one (1s) and then in another direction (3s) via "Shift + WASD". This way you will absorb those tiny pieces. However, if you want to keep a accretion disk, move slowly and don't do jerky movements in other directions.
The drawback of the spaghettification is that it needs in average 1.5x more performance. This means, if it runs without spaghettification at 60 FPS, it will run most likely with it at 45 FPS. The reason for this is the higher amount of stars than usual as one star can shatter into more than 2.000 smaller star pieces. That's why you should start with a lower star count than usual.
So have fun with this new feature and delight yourself in void!
Thank you for participating in the closed beta, your feedback has been invaluable! Your beta keys will remain playable until the 20th of May.
I am planning to release Dungeons of Voidria in late July.
Through this beta, I have decided that there are parts of the game that still need some adjustments. This should give me enough time to finalise and polish up before the release in early access.
In the meantime, check out a reworked version of the first area's theme!
After many months of hard work we bring you our biggest content update yet. While our previous update improved the overall lighting, this update brings much more than that.
Changes in this version:
- Re-balanced the whole game. - Clicking on humans now has zero cooldown but it yields less blood, and the AOE click modifier has been weakend significantly. - Traps no longer have a placement limit, but their prices have been adjusted accordingly. - Added a new "Sandbox" mode where you can compete against others in a global leaderboard. - Added a completely new tutorial and small bits of story. - Added a new victory screen after you finish the whole game, suggesting other content such as advanced difficulty settings. - Added a new final level that "closes the loop" :) - Improved graphics in the menus, trap selection, and fixed and improved many font-related issues. - Added more music to the soundtrack. - Improved save system and made it more clear when the game is being saved and what happens when the player exits the game. - Fixed issues related to alt-tabbing while the game was paused and many small graphical glitches. - Added more SFX and improved torch lighting in some areas.
We hope this update will bring more replayability to the game, as well as fix some of the outsanding issues mentioned by our playerbase.
Unfortunately as part of this update we ran into significant technical difficulties on MacOS which we were not able to work around. As a result we decided to remove MacOS from supported platforms on Steam, meaning the game can now only be purchased on Windows and Linux. Existing MacOS users who purchased the game still get to keep it at the state of the last update. The removal simply affects future releases of the game.
We do realize that this isn't the perfect solution for everyone, but we simply don't have the development capacity to support multiple platforms if we want to continue working on new things. It was naive of us to expect to support all three platforms, and we won't make the same mistake in the future. If any of our exisitng MacOS users feel that this change is unfair, we'll be happy to offer them a full refund of the game.
As a closing thought, we want to note that this is not the final update of Hell Loop.

Hope you all are having a good sunday!! Here is a hotfix that we've been working on during this weekend. As usual it's mean to make the combat smoother for cooperative mode, but it also comes with some fixes/changes.
* Fixed a bug with cards that reduced the cost of other cards, now this system will work as intended. * Fixed a bug for cards with "Anyone" target, that were able to be casted ignoring the Taunt effect. * Fixed a visual bug that prevented interact with the "Conflict resolution" in cooperative if there was a Character window active on the front. * Tune up (yellow upgrade) now have "Vanish" to be more consistent with other type of cards of similar effects
Kangaroos don't just hop around the outback. They also live in trees! Almost exclusively in fact. They can leap 30 feet from tree to tree in the rain forest and lick their arms to stay cool in the heat.
