Gatewalkers Beta version 0.5.1 is now live!

Patch notes:

  • fixed an issue with an empty icon and incorrect description of some items in the crafting window
  • fixed a minor linguistic bug in the description of the "Berries with herbs" item
  • fixed a minor linguistic bug in the item description "Mushrooms with herbs"
  • fixed a bug with incorrect buttons being displayed in the tooltip for solo combo
  • fixed a bug that prevented the use of a charging skill when mouse control is selected
  • fixed a bug that prevented the use of skills after quitting the game due to network connection issues
  • changed some dialogue to reflect appropriate character gender
  • a minor bug with items incorrectly displayed in the progress tree has been fixed
  • fixed a bug that caused the wrong character names to appear in the party panel
  • fixed a bug that caused the ground tiles to be displayed incorrectly in caves in the ice world
  • fixed a minor display bug where when comparing items, the lower weight of the item was considered a defect and marked in red
  • fixed a bug that caused the wrong damage value to be displayed in the description of the skill "predecessor ax"
  • fixed some minor problems with the mouse cursor at the start of expeditions
  • fixed a description tooltip of progress points on the bar in the progress tree
  • progress tree performance has been improved
  • the default binding of the action "cancel using skills" has been changed so that it does not interfere with the skill being casted
  • root will now interrupt some skills that change the owner's position
  • added missing sound effects and improved visual effect in bombardment amulet skill
  • fixed a bug that allowed the probe to be used multiple times
  • when playing with mouse, character should now properly interrupt run animation upon activating interaction
  • hair and armor on character should now properly change color when using Stasis skill
  • improvement the overall stability of the game

Infinitode 2 - Infinite Tower Defense - radcat
Thank you for being here!

The game is out on Steam, iOS and Android. The release was a bit rough but overall it is better than it could be. I'm aware of the problems that some of the players have experienced and will do my best to fix them - please continue reading to know more, this is a sort of FAQ for the early game versions.

I'm already working on the bug fixing update, but it'll take a couple of days. Before it comes out, let's talk about the issues you may run into:

I've played on Android with my Google account, how do I sign in?
You can sign in on any platform using your nickname and password. If you have not set your password yet, here's how you can do that:
  1. Open the game, do not sign in into any account
  2. Go to the Account screen and press the "Reset password" button
  3. Enter your nickname or email that is linked to your Google account
  4. Go to your mailbox (the one you are using for the Google account) and follow the instructions to set up a new password
Do not be afraid to use this method - we do not store your plain password and do not share your email. This email is used only to make sure you will always have access to your account and to make sure it is really you who tries to sign in.

Full screen mode works incorrectly, I can't see a part of the screen
Windows display scaling settings cause this issue. I'm trying to find the best way to fix that, but before the patch comes out here's what you can do:
  1. Find the directory of the game (Steam/steamapps/common/Infinitode 2). You can also right click on the game in Steam Library, go to "Properties...", select "LOCAL FILES" and click on "Browse..."
  2. Right click on "infinitode-2.exe" and select "Properties"
  3. Go to "Compatibility" tab and click on "Change high DPI settings"
  4. In the window that appears, enable the "Override high DPI scaling behavior" checkbox and select "Application" in the box right below it
You can also set your display scaling to 100% in Windows settings but be aware that it will affect all of your apps

The game crashes during the run / at the moment I build a new tower
I'm aware of this bug - it happens on some devices and is somehow related to the time. I'll try to fix it in the next update.

The UI is too large, how do I scale it down?
I hear you, this feature is now on top of my TODO list and I'll try to add it ASAP.

My Beta progress is lost
Yes, I know, sorry for your loss. I've tried to tell you in every news post that beta progress is not related to your main progress and it will be cleared after the release.

Textures are broken / have incorrect colors
This bug is somehow related to hardware or drivers, but I'll try to release a patch for that in a couple of days

I've received some of the achievements on Android, but they do not appear on Steam
There's a blue "refresh" button on the Achievements list inside the game, click on it and all of your received achievements should appear on Steam. I will try to make this button clearer in the next patch

I've found a bug / the game doesn't work / something is missing
This is not a final state of the game, I'll spend all my time trying to do it better and release new patches as soon as possible.

When do I receive the Season 1 badges / beta tester badge? Where are the Season 1 rewards?
Rewards and badges will be issued within a few days - currently I'm a bit overwhelmed by the feedback and trying to deal with a couple of problems, please stay patient.
Regarding the "Beta tester" badge - it will be given only to the limited circle of participants who were active during Beta and have reported bugs to the issue tracker. Not everyone who have installed / played Beta will receive it, for obvious reasons.

There's no sound / Steam can't close the game
Try to quit the game using the "X" button in main menu / on the game's window or simply use the old fashioned Alt+F4 to quit the game. For some reason, Steam has a hard time killing the game when you click on "Close" in your library or quit Steam while the game is still running. This may also cause some sound related bugs but don't worry, I'm searching for the ways to fix that.

A two part series to start this chart off, Color Factory maps by @ishKiia teach us how colors are made at a Color Factory. Your task as an hired Engineer is to up the production rate and later to clean up the mess the last Engineer left behind after experimenting with Black color (they say he fell straight into the pit never to be seen again). Another rules bending more-than-meets-the-eye entry by @Thomas — a simple task of connecting two villages becomes anything but simple too fast (drowned tracks in the middle is a substantially sized nope by the way :), nevertheless an enjoyable challenge for seasoned train drivers and newcomers alike.

Suzerain - hopppi


Citizens of Sordland! Another month has passed and it’s been quite eventful for us. Here’s an overview of our activities during the month of April:

Suzerain won Best Expert Game at the German Game Awards 2021. This is the highest award recognition a video game developer can be honoured with in Germany and we’re extremely proud. Thanks to everyone for making this possible.



Suzerain is also nominated in 2 categories at the Unfold Awards: Best Narrative and Audience Award, for which we will need your vote: ({LINK REMOVED}) - winners will be announced on the 20th of May!

Last week we participated in LudoNarraCon, the festival organised by our publisher Fellow Traveller, with several activities, including a developer interview and Q&A, the Sordland Documentary by the Templin Institute, as well as the reveal of the fanart contest results:

Last week, Ata also spoke about Suzerain, Torpor Games and indie game development during the Instagram Takeover of Factory, the co-working space and innovative community our team is part of.

- Dungeon are set to approx 20 randomly created rooms & 50 enemies with dead ends
- Added as custom battles & in campaign (village quest)
- Stealth mechanic : You can sneak in & kill silently or go berserk

FULL COMBAT EXPERIENCE REWORKED :

Now that you are all TOG combat experts, i've decided it was time to increase a bit the difficulty...
I've reworked the combat AI in a more challenging way with better defence for enemies and better timing for attacks and also made a full rework from scratch of combat physics.
It's now ultra clean physics, almost no jitter, good enemy defense and real fencing possible. stabs & decap are sick

- Better enemies physic & fencing (also way more dangerous enemies)
- Improved warlords
- Grabbing weapon of enemies
- Headbutt

MODDING :

- Custom Texture loader for custom outfits & banners
- Custom weapon loader + Mod Shrine in lobby and Arena for testing purpose, allowing you to spawn modded weapon in game
