You’ve seen it in real life - clubs losing a series of key players through injury or transfer deals and then struggling as they lack suitable backup in those areas. You’ll also have seen it in Football Manager, where you reach a pivotal point in a campaign only to suffer the ignominy of a mid-season injury crisis which can completely derail a good run of form or, worse still, your entire season. You feel these issues particularly when the transfer window is closed and/or you can’t afford to bring in like-for-like replacements.
That ends here. Visit the Byline on the Football Manager Website to see how much MaddFM values retraining players in new positions in FM21 and explain how it can assist your recruitment strategy and your overall player development in a longer-term save.

Plans to directly link Hamburg and Lübeck by rail date back to the 1830s, as part of an effort to improve journey times along the cross-border route into Denmark. It would take a further 3 decades until the line actually opened, but once rails were laid, the line quickly became the busiest and most important in Schleswig-Holstein. Today, Deutsche Bahn run regular passenger services along the line, taking commuters and travellers to and from Europe’s 2nd busiest station.
It’s your job to take charge of the services across this route; embark commuters onto Regional and Regional Express services, and keep the industrial scene thriving by operating key freight traffic. Take control of the classic DB BR 112, either from the locomotive itself or from afar in the cab car, on stopping and semi-fast services between Hamburg and Lübeck. Alternatively, climb aboard the instantly recognisable ES 64 U2 adorning the sleek MRCE Black scheme, and haul a variety of freight trains.
Train Sim World 2: Hauptstrecke Hamburg - Lübeck arrives 13th May on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. Watch Nat and Matt's preview stream here.
To mark the birthday of “William the Bad”, King of Sicily from 1154 until 1166, we will be rewarding all warlords with 15% extra Glory to help improve their Season VII Nobility Ranking. The higher your ranking, of course, the greater the likelihood that your exploits will earn you a flattering epithet when your personal history is one day being written.
Starts: May 7, 09:00 server time
Ends: May 10, 23:59 server time
Boost: 15%+ to Glory
By most accounts William I of Sicily was considered a successful monarch. His forces contributed to the defence of the Italian mainland and he was a signatory on an eventual peace treaty with the Greeks. However, he was forever at odds with his barons, who were encouraged by the Pope to overthrow their king - an effort that failed thanks to William’s army rallying to return him to power.
William lived out his reign in relative peace, with the “bad” epithet largely ascribed to the work of a later historian allied to the baronial class. Which just goes to show how important it is to build up as much Glory while you can, as you never know how your legacy will be remembered.
Don’t forget you can also invest in a Battle Pass to maximise those rewards as you ascend to greatness!
After 9 months in Early Access we are ready to press the boost button and let Total Arcade Racing race out of Early Access.
We cannot thank the folks enough who played the game in Early Access and provided feedback, without you the game would be very different from what we released today. Thank you all!
So what happens now? Well hopefully the launch goes smoothly but usually there are few bugs that magically appear post launch. After that it really depends on you the gamers. If you like the game and play it we will keep adding content to the game, if you don't well lets be honest then there isn't much point in adding new content.
We really hope that you enjoy the final product and it helps us a lot if you review the game.
Ladies and gentlemen start your engines and go get that #1 spot in Hall of Fame!
