Meowllo everyone! April sure passed by quickā€¦I thought it was still March. Time is scary.
This month, weā€™ve been working on a lot of cool things! Except we canā€™t show them to you just yet! Terrible! But itā€™s OK, thereā€™s a lot of asset and art work done this month, we can show you some of those. This will be a pretty image heavy devlog!

šŸŒæ Grassy Plains

Last month, we showed some assets for the Grassy Plains. This month, the family is all complete! Say hello šŸ‘‹



Some tulips, a new fence, and flowers to help brighten up the colors. We wanted to keep the Grassy Plains primarily green. Lots of fresh warm greens! The terrain is quite large, hereā€™s how it looks in the 3D modelling program:



ā€¦And hereā€™s how the same chunk looks in-game!



Itā€™s been a lot of fun working on the level. Itā€™s changed quite a bit as it progressed, and itā€™s also become a lot more hilly. I swear, I do know what ā€œplainsā€ are. I took some, um, creative liberties.



The pond and the northern end with the bamboo are one of my favorite spots.

šŸ” Buildings and Buildables

Adding another building to the ā€œrustic homesā€ set, hereā€™s an Alchemistā€™s shop.



Keeping in theme with the rest of the rustic homes, it features mainly Softwood and Stone. As always, you can dye the roof! To keep things consistent, I use the same set of pieces and textures for each style of housing. It also makes things easier!



Making a house is like building with blocks. Sometimes it can get a bit annoying to have to tweak things to work in the style I want them to, but I see it as a fun puzzle!



Thereā€™s also a few more things you can place as decorations. The fertilizer sacks are cute šŸ˜³

Hello Again Test Subjects!

The Salt Mine Studios Team has been hard at work these past few weeks fixing bugs,
adding some quality of life features, and more! Thanks to everyone who has been
telling us about the various bugs they encounter in the game. Here are the update
notes for todays update!

New Features:
- A New Game Mode has been added called NewGame+
This game mode is unlocked after beating the whole game once. Lets you use
all body types on all levels.
- Two New Achievements! Spacebound and Health Conscious!
- Elevator Music added to the elevator level transitions.
- Color Blind Support! We have added a graphics option to change the colors
of the red and green buttons and lights. This can only be done through the
main menu under "Options" and then "Graphics".
- Level Music has been re-done to emit from phonographs that are placed in a
variety of locations in all levels. Positioned in places to help give players
a sense of which direction to go.
- Spawn Point activation sound added.
- Level 3 floor buttons now have sound added to them when they are pressed.
- Impact sound added when a player gets hit by a wrecking ball or turret.
- Music added to the Credits.
- Updated Level Select to have pictures of every level.
- Texture and lighting updates.

Bug Fixes:
- Various walls and floors you could walk through and fall or get out of the
levels through have been fixed to no longer let this happen.
- Turrets sounds had the direction fo their sound fixed to point the right way.
- Level 2 maze of buttons should no longer let you hear the turrets through
the walls.
- Fixed sphere body flying and other sphere related bugs.
- Can no longer jump off bullets.
- On level 2, you need to hit both buttons in the 2nd area now to open the 3rd
gate. Should also resolve the problem of accidently getting stuck in level 2.
- Added Air Control to launcher pistons after you get launched by them.
- Various Bounce Pad bug fixes.
- Updated poster read distance.
- Resolution settings should now awlays show the current resolution.
- Various sound bug fixes.

Library Of Ruina - Project Moon
Hello, this is Project Moon.

The official release of Library of Ruina has been confirmed and is set to arrive on May 28th.

The following features and content are planned to be developed and implemented in the full release:
  • More General Invitations
  • Adding a tutorial + Improving the Manual + Standardizing terminologies
  • Adding and improving effects for Abnormality pages
  • More Battle Symbols
  • Steam Achievements
  • Balance adjustments
The release of the OST and Workshop support for custom Receptions will take place after full release.

Hello there,
This update was primarily focused on creating a small tutorial at the beginning of Zone 1.

According to the feedback, the lack of a tutorial did cause some frustration among new players.
I also reduced the battery consumption
Please let me know what you think!


-reduced battery usage by approximately 30%

-some sfx volume issues were resolved

-added a tutorial at the beginning of zone 1

-corrected a few typos

-a jump counter was added
