In this release, we deployed a more flexible queuing functionality, brought back an improved version of Ceres Awakens, and fixed a handful of bugs.
We also added a new “Deep Space Explorers” outfit to the market, and put some of our hero ships on sale.
Here’s the detailed scoop:
QUICK MATCH (FAVORITES) QUEUE
Before this release, you could either queue for ANY game mode or for only one. However, some Captains prefer to play some of the game modes, but not all.
With this in mind, we added flexibility to the queue. Now players can select which game modes are their “favorite” and only queue for those.
When you are in the Game Mode Selection screen, you will notice two things:
The ANY button was replaced by a QUICK MATCH button.
Each game mode has a GREY LIGHTNING BOLT in the lower right of the buttons. If you click this lightning bolt, it will turn blue, setting this game mode as a "Favorite". Clicking it again will remove it from your favorites. On PS4 this is done by highlighting the game mode and pressing the Triangle button.
Once you have set all your “Favorites,” select the QUICK MATCH game mode and click PLAY. This will queue you ONLY for the game modes you selected as “Favorite.”
After you select your “Favorites,” the QUICK MATCH option on the Home screen will also queue you only for the game modes you selected in the last Tier you queued for.
To show you how this works, we made a short video tutorial for the new QUICK MATCH functionality. We hope it’s useful!
CERES REAWAKENS
The last time we made Ceres Awakens available, we received feedback about the placement of tech caches: they were too far away from where ships would fight. Of course, this made it too difficult for slower ships to pick up the caches and remain effective.
In the improved version of the game mode, we moved most of the spawn locations of the caches to areas where fighting would naturally occur. So, now the tech caches are easier to grab and have the ability to impact the heart of the battles.
We also created an added incentive to collecting tech caches by adding scoring events for each cache you pick up and an additional bonus for every third cache you pick up. You’ll also receive XPs and credits per scoring event.
NEW OUTFIT: DEEP SPACE SURVIVAL SUIT, HELMET, AND CAPTAIN TINT.
Dating back to the Golden Age of Space Exploration, the Deep Space Survival Suit (or DS3) was critical in protecting the first human explorers as they traveled into the far reaches of the Solar System. After an eruption on Ceres revealed a large stockpile of DS3s, it has since been re-embraced for its elegance and durability.

BALANCE CHANGES AND BUG FIXES
Stronger Scattergun Broadsides - We thought Scattergun Broadsides were a little weak. So we decided to put more boom in your boomstick. We buffed the damage but also gave them a little more lock on range and blast radius to make them a bit more effective. Let us know if we went too far or not far enough. We fully expect more tweaks to be needed here.
These are the specific changes:
Number of projectiles per shoot now T3 - 10, T4 - 15, T5 - 20
Damage per projectile now T3 - 450, T4 - 360, T5 - 305
Damage Radius now 300m for all tiers
Range increased to 1400m for all tiers
Moved Emblem attachment point on the Marauder forecastle to an appropriate location.
Invictus Primary Weapon: Fixed reload time being longer with power to weapons.
Hey everyone Happy Friday! We know that the current dynamic weather has issues and one reason the next release has taken a bit longer is making sure the weather was improved and does not impede gameplay in the next release.
This screenshot shows some of the updates that now allow us to fine tune the exact weather probabilities on each course, including being able to eventually switch seasons.
We're continuing to work hard and will get the next release out asap.
Cheers and thanks for supporting UDG, Joshua - Lead Dev.

This is Agnès, aka Clemenc, the founder and only developer at games studio 2054.
Development of The Sundew has continued as smoothly as it is possible, building more of the game content and playtesting to make sure the final product is as thrilling as I can make it to be. It’s set for launch this Summer for PC, Linux, and Switch, and I wanted to share a bit on some additional characters featured in the game. For this entry, I’ll focus on backstories that aren’t explored too much in the game, to complement the experience you’ll get to play later this year.
Arabella Fujiwara
Arabella is Anna's (our protagonist) superior. She is incisive, determined and knows how to make the right decisions at the right time to achieve the desired result.
Arabella sees Anna as a rebellious late teenager and would like to give her a stricter framework so that she can make better use of her abilities. She is homosexual and invited Anna on a date which Anna refused, causing Arabella great upset.
When Anna is sent to prison, she is secretly happy and wants the prison to discipline Anna. She has ties to Sagi Electrics, a conglomerate of several companies, in the form of bribes, but does not know the plans of this company. Sagi Electrics, with its subsidiaries, supplies energy, created robots for industrial and police use, owns a retail chain, virtual reality gaming, a research center, and more.
Nao
Nao was enlisted by Ciel (read more on him here) in the Pillbox, a group of anti-globalization activists based in the Republic of the Philippines, to connect to one of the biovegetal antennas of The Sundew project. She is one of the few cyborgs from the Victoria project*, who, like Anna, has kept her mind pretty much intact. She is no more stable than Anna psychologically, her physical performance is better, but her intellectual and computer skills did not allow her to make the connection to the antenna as Ciel wished.
She got involved in the activities of the Pillbox only because she fell in love with Rick and lives like an outcast, without ID, in the slum of Abashiri, waiting for the Pillbox to tackle the system currently in place, which would allow her to return to a more normal life.
She is more or less jealous of Anna because she feels like she has been replaced, without being very sure that she really wanted to connect to the antenna, which causes ambivalent feelings in her. She fights this feeling to please Rick and Ciel because she is not aware of Anna and Rick's affair.
*The Victoria Project was a project to create cyborgs capable of drastically reducing crime, and dedicated to the police. This project was abandoned in favour of the creation of police robots.
Jimmy and Donna
Jimmy and Donna are two computer scientists in the police computer research department. They work on the police logistics computer system and at the same time they have fun hacking into the police tracking system because they don't always agree with police policy.
Jimmy is handicapped and can no longer walk, but he didn't want to wear artificial legs. He prefers his wheelchair which he can clip to his workstation very easily. Donna is a mixed race with an African-American father and Japanese mother and is very happy with the position she got at the police force because of her brilliant abilities in IT.
Thanks for reading and I hope you find it interesting! Please feel free to ask any questions about the story and the game.
