Change log for version 1.1:

Major Changes:
  • Item pickups will now display text after being picked up which describes what affect they have
  • The unlocks/achievements menu has been redesigned to look more appealing and functional
  • The players movement is no longer connected to gravity. Before, if the player was rising or falling while trying to drag the force arrow, the arrow would move with the player. This is no longer the case and the arrow will stay at the mouse position regardless of movement changes. (also works for controllers)
  • Improved the tutorial so that it provides more guided information about how to play. (can be disabled from the game settings menu)
  • Added 5 new tiles to the pool of spawn-able tiles
  • Created a new obstacle type that both moves and turns on and off over time

Minor Changes:
  • Changed version number on main menu and in game file settings.
  • As of version 1.05 achievements are integrated with Steam
  • Controls can be viewed during gameplay through the How To Play screen on the pause menu (binding information will update based on what device is being used)
  • Some game settings in the options menu were not resetting to defaults properly, this is now fixed
  • When a controller is connected a UI element will automatically be selected so that a mouse and keyboard is not needed to interact with menus
  • Fixed an issue where the "launch player" input field in the options menu would not become active when it was supposed to
  • The mouse will now automatically hide when a controller is in use
  • The game will now pause whenever the current input device is lost or disconnected
  • Adjusted layout of some currently existing tiles

This is the first major update since the release of Rise 2.0. Changes and improvements for this update are based on things I planned on adding or feedback I got from the community. Hello survivors!

We’re excited to announce that game update 1.12 has been released on Steam! Before we dive into the contents of the update, we’d like to take a moment to thank everyone on PC for participating in the experimental phase. This update offers plenty of changes in the game and your feedback during the experimental phase was very important to us. If you’re interested in a detailed rundown of the changes we made, head on over to the changelog forum posts (Link below) . And if you encounter any issues, we’d love it if you let us know via the Feedback Tracker. Now let’s take a look at what’s been changed and added!

We start with the most important part of the update - changes to player vs infected and player vs player combat. The scope of these is far beyond anything we’ve done before. Here’s a quick summary:

Infected are deadlier up close due to the increased frequency of their attacks and higher resistance against damage from melee. To counter their attacks up close, players need to use heavier weapons when trying to stun them. Their senses were tweaked in a way that makes them slower to react to nearby noises, making a stealth approach and stealth kills more viable. Infected are also more likely to leave their target alone if they lose it and they won’t attack unconscious players anymore.

A massive balancing pass was done over existing firearms, making them more diverse while keeping rarity in the world in mind. This primarily includes a focus on non-automatic rifles being stronger and more precise than automatic ones. We also overhauled the audibility so smaller caliber weapons are harder to hear from a distance.

The diversification of firearms also affects ammunition properties, which means we paid attention to damage to health, as well as shock differences between individual ammo types. This was also coupled with a major buff to protective gear with ballistic properties (selected helmets and vests), which now protects players a lot more from incoming damage to health and allows for more firefights to end in an unconscious state rather than instant death. - Read more from our article:

- Added : Supply depot (new unit). This unit can be built by engineers, and units will be able to get supplies from it instead from a city for example. If you hadn’t think about it, you can indeed set supply depots as target in the map editor and this could be the goal of your mission :)

- Change : All campaign scenarios have been removed from the multiplayer, because they were 95% unbalanced. I will be re adding some new PVP maps, but this will take some time I didn’t have the time to do that today.

- Fix : Naval generals (Admirals) didn’t give their bonuses.

What will I be working on next ?
The Burma campaign (yes, I didn’t add all those units for India for nothing hehe)
And making balanced map for multiplayer. You are more than welcome to create your own and share them on the workshop ! :D

When attacking random citizens, they are no longer killed right after you defeat them in the battle.
Instead, they will beg for mercy and you can decide to kill or spare them.
Although spare them still counts as a crime because you have assaulted them, as it's a crime of assault/robbery instead of a crime of murder, the bounty will be much lower than the one of that if you kill them.
Monks will have a similar scenario. (But, they will not beg for their own lives.)
Changed the succubus character graphics to be more in-line with the rest of the characters.
Monks will have random dialogues when they are killed.
As the elevator door of your pocket dimension can be moved around, the entrance point shall follow instead of being static.

We’ve been developing new Prison Architect merchandise that is finally ready for the big reveal! To be in with a chance of winning a set of branded goods, we’d like you to create something in return.
