Davigo begs the question: why didn't this exist already? It's an asymmetric multiplayer game in which one player in a VR headset attempts to swipe and slam up to four tiny, nimble players on desktop computers, who each wield rocket launchers. It plays with scale in ways that look like glorious fun.

Streets Of Rage 4 managed a rare trick last year, by satisfying long-time fans of the punch-and-go series while modernising the formula for new players who'd never eaten a floor chicken before. Now there's DLC on the way. The Mr. X Nightmare DLC will add three new playable characters, alongside new weapons and a survival game mode.

Stonefly is one of the game's I'm most looking forward to. It's about piloting a tiny bug mech between leaves, and puffing other creatures off branches, and its hand-drawn textures are sumptuous. Developers Flight School have just released a new video that explains a little more about the game's story.

Here's a slightly magical idea for a story game: every time you blink in real life, your webcam notices and the game skips you forward to the next scene. That's how it goes in Before Your Eyes, a new vignette 'em up released today. Having played a bit of it myself, I'd describe it as 'Edith Finch meets 30 Flights Of Living with blinking' if I were required to briefly introduce the concept in a blog post, which I was so I did. Have a look in the trailer below.

Six weeks before they were due to release Deathloop, Arkane have announced they're delaying the timeloop FPS by four months. Previously expected on the 21st of May, it's now pushed back to September 14th. I'll still be here, happily waiting for a new game from the studio which brought us Dishonored and Prey.

Tap your collarbone and warm up your whistling lips, because Deadly Premonition 2 is coming to PC this year. Following its Nintendo Switch debut in July 2020, the open-world murder mystery/survival horror/daily life RPG is coming to Steam next. The original is one of my very favourite games, the most charming and warm-hearted game about a weirdo FBI agent chasing a supernatural serial killer, so I'm stoked to see this coming my way.

After a strong mining sesh in Valheim, I believe there's no greater agony than smelting all the ore I've gathered. Yes, it's satisfying, but I am a terribly impatient individual who demands my metal bars now, not later. That's why a mod which lets me overclock my smelters, kilns, and blast furnaces with Surtling Cores has me interested. Finally, I can speed up the process.

After switching to the seasons and Plunder Pass model earlier this year, pirate playground Sea Of Thieves has teased the start of season two coming next week. They've released a short teaser trailer that those of you with a good spyglass may be able to spot. I'm very afraid that stealth strats may be about to get out of hand. Do you know where every barrel on your ship is? I'd start memorizing right now if I were you.
