GAMEPLAY:
  • Charged Shot ➡ When in normal play, clicking and holding the fire button initiates the gun to charge. When charged, release fire button to shoot a penetrating shot. Circumference of beam is a bit less than Stimulus Shot. Release fire button too early and a normal shot will occur.
  • Headshots ➡ Normal shots to The Infecteds' head are now tracked in stats. A different physics sim is used when shots register to the head.
GFX:
  • Quality Settings ➡ Further refinements are now implemented. There are further distinctions between each setting, that should help with FPS and/or visual fidelity.
  • Lighting ➡ New light emitters added to the game: Barrel explosions, Stimulus Shot and Charged Shot projectiles, gun charged indicator at gun muzzle.
SFX:
  • Gun Sounds ➡ New shot sounds for Charge Up, Charged Shot, and Stimulus Shot.
UI:
  • Leaderboards ➡ Leaderboards are now accessible from the Main Menu that display the top scores and also the player's position.
  • After Action Report ➡ The player's stats for the current game played are displayed upon INFECTED status.
BUG FIXES:
  • Pausing ➡ After being infected (After Action Screen) is no longer possible.
  • Pausing ➡ Pausing the game during normal play will actually set the game speed to ~0. This lets the player visually adjust FOV on the fly. If in a slo-mo mode, and pause is initiated, the game will pause to prevent game speed issues that were occurring.
Two by One - ranter
One more stage in this update than usual, completing the second set of regular updates. Next update is the second boss and should come in two weeks, maybe one if development moves along faster than expected.

The full release is finally ready!
The mysteries of the labyrinth into which Deedlit has wandered will be unravelled, and the heart-wrenching climax leads directly into the latest installment in the series, Record of Lodoss War: Diadem of the Covenant...!

Stages 5 and 6 have been added to the full release, completing this six-stage 2D action-exploration title. With a slew of tough enemies and hardcore bosses even more powerful than those in the preceding stages, you won’t be able to put the controller down.



One boss of Stage 5 is the Emperor Beld of Marmo, also known as the “Dark Emperor”.
Infamous as one of the best swordsmen in Lodoss, he’ll use his amazing powers and prowess with his blade to stop Deedlit in her tracks.



Featuring all-new weapons and magic, like the magical blade of Lodoss known as “Soul Crusher”.
Chock full of stage gimmicks requiring spirit powers and arrows to clear, your bow & arrow skills will truly be put to the test.



Unexpectedly forced to face off against previously appearing friends such as Etoh, Slayn, Ghim, and Woodchuck, Deedlit will finally find out the truth behind their words of warning and encouragement.



Also, in response to the overwhelming feedback received from players around the world during Early Access, the following contents have been included in this update.
Thank you for all your support and requests.

  • Easier map location checking
  • Fixed explosions after unpausing
  • Cubes released by enemies are now opaque, improving visibility
  • Stun conditions updated
  • Rooms containing bosses can now be checked from outside
  • Difficulty levels of existing stages have been adjusted to better fit the entire game
  • Player-character afterimage can now be turned off in settings

A large number of bug fixes, fine tuning, and other adjustments are also included.

In this latest version of Dead Age 2 after player feedback we fixed problems with some quests. This includes the U.S. Army quest, which now offers a more obvious second option to complete the quest even without enough U.S. Army reputation.
Buying reputation is another option, but it is only available in certain situations of some special quests.
Furthermore, a nastiness has been improved in the final dungeon, I marked the entry with a warning spoiler.

If you want to support us now, please write a review, so that we also survive on our huge quest. It's really hardcore difficulty level for developers to survive with masses of indie games on Steam.

Next week we will improve some skills from balancing. You can still give feedback here before we work on it.

Bugfixes & small improvements
  • added some additional quest tasks to help the player in some situations where the next step in the story was not so obvious (Lydia's Alliance Quest, Getting into the Army's HQ, Kira's first request in Forest Grave, Trevor's second request to find Terence's stash)
  • when entering the final dungeon, open quests will no be moved to failed since the player can't finish them anymore
  • when entering the final dungeon the resources and items stolen from the player will now be given back at a later point (although this doesn't work for saves that are already in the dungeon)
  • changed the combats in the cave of Fernando's Quest and Mary's Quest to be no ambush combat
  • fixed that it was not possible to correctly choose non enemy target slots in combat with controller / gamepad
  • changed hardcore difficulty back from +15% to +20% enemy strength
  • fixed a bug where a character could enter a strange walking animation during camp defense if he was infected and then healed with Zomdex
  • fixed that improving the bed room in camp did not provide any XP for the worker
  • fixed that the defense barricades' HP didn't adjust with the level of the defense post room
  • reduced the upgrade costs for the defense post room
  • fixed a bug where after startup of the game and on first time loading a save with a defense combat the first wave could have wrong enemies (caused by some data not being fully prepared and therefore the loading time had to be increased slightly)
  • fixed a possible crash when doing the weapon test challenge from an encounter
