If there was one thing holding back the HyperX Cloud Flight from claiming the number one spot in my best wireless headset rankings, it's that it just wasn't quite as comfortable as some of its rivals. Happily, HyperX's latest wireless gaming headset, the Cloud II Wireless, fixes this problem instantly. It still weighs an identical 300g without its detachable microphone, but its leatherette memory foam headband and ear cushions sit much more easily on my head this time round, keeping the dreaded head pinch at bay for hours. HyperX have also improved the build quality of the Cloud II Wireless, opting for a lovely red aluminium frame (and equally lovely red stitching) instead of the swathes of plastic found on the Cloud Flight. The end result is a headset that feels much more befitting of its £150 / $150 price, and a worthy contender for one of my favourite wireless headsets yet.

I've always struggled with stamina bar management in viking survival game Valheim. Often I'll hoof it away from Trolls, almost immediately run out of puff, then get right-hooked into oblivion. But I will have this problem no longer, as there's a new Attack On Titan-inspired mod which lets me latch onto monsters with a grappling hook and swing at their napes.

Red Candle Games, the developers who made the excellent horror game Devotion, have teased their new project - and it looks a whole lot different from what they've made before. Moving away from the 3D spook 'em ups, the Taiwanese devs have shown a tiny 12 second clip of what appears to be a 2D action side-scroller, set against a vibrant backdrop.

When Adam wrote our Nier: Automata review, he didn't have a lot of issues with its PC port. Others sadly weren't so lucky, and modders have stepped in over the past several years to fix many graphics, performance, and quality-of-life issues that Square Enix and Platinum Games failed to address.

Now a new version of the game is out on PC that fixes many of those problems while adding new graphical bells and whistles. The catch: it's only available via the Windows store and Xbox Game Pass, and not via Steam.

I never much cared for de_dust2, which left me slightly dismayed when it rapidly took over the entirety of Counter-Strike and became its most popular map ever. Thankfully now I can have my revenge. A modder has re-created de_dust2 in Teardown, the destructive heist sim, so I can blow the famous level apart brick by brick until all that's left is... dust.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about Whisker Squadron, a Star Fox-like with procedural bosses. Commenter 'treat' suggested that we should also look at Ex-Zodiac, another indie Star Fox homage - and they were right.

Ex-Zodiac looks, feels and plays like Star Fox, and there's a demo available to play now.

I've played just one Shin Megami Tensei game. "Hey, this will be like spin-off series Persona but with a focus on the turn-based combat against colourful demons," I thought. That's true, it is! But it's also rock hard and I just died and died and died until I gave up.

Today I am excited for two reasons: Shim Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster is heading to PC, and it will come with a new "Merciful" difficulty mode.
